10 Savage

At lunch break I decided to check out Daniel so that I could give him a treat. He gives me treatseverytime we go out for lunch. So I thought I should take him out today.

I saw Daniel was checking an old woman's pulse. His assistant saw me that I was standing in front his room. The door was open because he must be working in his lunch break too. I didn't wanna interfere in his work as he was checking his patient carefully and his own caring way. In my childhood I used to think that if I become a doctor I'll try to heal my patients with just a smile so that half of their worries goes away in a second. I don't know how much I succeeded but Daniel is just a perfect example of my childhooddream book. He's kind of those prince charmings who will melt you with their ravashing smiles.

"Grace?" Daniel said looking upto me smiling. He already noticed I was standing in front of his room.

"Hey!" I smiled my usual awkward smile, "I'm sorry please continue your check up." I said looking at the elderly woman.

"No,no,we are done here," Daniel said handing a prescription to the woman.

"Please, inform me if you are in need of something or if you don't understand anything, alright!" He said to the old woman with eyes full of care. Damn I wish I had a doctor like him looking over me. Ok weird thoughts are coming out of no where to me which never happened before. It's all because of that Bradon. Shoot what did he do to me all of a sudden.

"Grace?" Daniel waved a hand in front me removing the clouds of my thoughts.

"Daniel!"

"You've been spacing out a lot these days. I wonder what's wrong with you," He said looking at my eyes with a curious smile.

"I'm totally fine!" I said blushing at his curiosityabout me.

"Yeah!Yeah!" He said laughing.

"So lunch today is on me!" I said dodging the questions about my changes.

"Oh no no! Treat me some other day."

"No please let me, Daniel!"

"Ugh! You really don't have to do this you know!"

"No! It will make me so happy trust me I wouldlove to," I said smiling with my eyes full of excitement. He seemed to get shy by that somehow. What is wrong with everyone or is it just me I'm having weird thoughts.

"So where are we gonna go?" I said cutting out his shyness.

"Oh let's have lunch in our hospital's restaurant. I have an operation to attend after lunch,"

"What? Operation? Oh! Then we can do it sometimes later no problem!"

"Nah! It's totally fine doctor Grace. Have some faith in your co-worker doctor. Doctor Daniel can handle too you know!" He said laughing at the weird face I just made.

The hospital restaurant wasn't that crowded.It's usually empty. Me and Daniel sat in a corner table from where we could see the lobby of the hospital. The canteen was decorated pretty beautifully. It was Daniel's idea to create the restaurant in the 2nd floor of the hospitalwith glasses surrounding it.

"What do you wanna order, doctor? Eat all you want! Don't be shy! The bill is on me," I said giving the menu book to Daniel playfully.

"Oh! Lol!" Daniel laughed.

But he ordered healthy as usual and I ordered my regular sandwich.

"Ah! Excuse me for a moment!" Daniel said at the ringing of his phone.

"Yes, ofcouse. Take your time Daniel" I said ensuring him I didn't mind at all.

He walked to the washroom,talking in his phone.

I looked down at the lobby from the glasses. Everyone is in a rush. Suddenly I noticed Brandon talking with Daniel's secretary who waspointing at the restaurant.

Our eyes met when he looked at my direction. "Damn it!" I looked away from him.

I looked again to see if he was still there but he wasn't. Phew! He's gone. I mean he wasn't looking for me anyway why should I be worried anyway or was he!

The answer of my questions were all answered when I saw Brandon was entering the restaurant. My feets started shaking at his sight. I am just worried he might do something weird in front of Daniel which might end the good relation between me ans Daniel.

"It took me sometime to find you. You can be troublesome sometimes," He said smiling wickedly.

"What problem did I cause you, huh? You don't get to call me troublesome for no reason," I said pouting.

"Don't worry. Your kinds excites me,doctor!" He said looking at me playfully.

"Don't you dare...." Daniel came back before I could finish my sentence.

"Mr Brandon! Ah join us for lunch!" Daniel said with a chuckle.

"Ah you're with him...I see," Brandon said smirking wickedly.

"Yeah, Grace is giving me a treat. You can join if you want," Daniel said smiling.

"Nah, you guys enjoy your date. Good times don't last long after all," He said with a playful attitude and walked to the kitchener area.

" I wasn't gonna pay for his food! Good he saved you some money.." I said in a moody tone to Daniel.

Daniel laughed a little. "Don't worry, Grace. Our order will be here soon," He said changing the topic.

After lunch I went home early because I had to sort out some documents of hospital. Later on at night, Daniel's assistant called me.

"What! He collapsed during operation?" I was totally shocked hearing what his assistant was telling me.

"But how?"

"Food poisoning!!"

I was trembling after ending the call. Me and Daniel both had the same lunch. How can he be sick and I'm totally fine.

It isnt Brandon behind all this! Is he!!

How can someone be such a savage person. Danieldidn't harm him any way. Then why will he! He is out of his mind!
