Laughing without a reason is rude

''You're the one who's not waking up right now!'' I say as I try to pull up Emmet's heavy body. Trust me, it's all because of his muscles. He opens an eye before closing it again—earning a groan from me as I stand on the bed, trying as hard as I can to lift him up.
''Five minutes,'' He mumbles.
My eyes widen and rage in anger, ''If I count to three and I see that you're not waking up, I'll burn your assignments.'' I say, making him open his eyes slightly, ''Oh, and don't give me that look—when I say that I'll burn it, I'll fucking burn it.'' I let go of him, stepping down from the bed.
I run towards the living room, taking his papers that has to do with his assignments before running back towards our bedroom, showing him—and I let my lips curve up into a smile, ''One, two—''
He sighs deeply, sitting up straight and run his fingers through his hair, ''Alright. I'm up, okay?'' He points at the papers—wanting me to give it to him but I just put it on the desk beside me, earning another sigh from him.
Emmet groans, pulling me instead towards the bed before wrapping me around like a burrito with the comforter, ''I didn't promise, sweetheart. I said I would. There's a difference.'' He smirks, making me kick my legs out, trying to free myself.
''No, Emmet! Get me out of here.'' I say which earns me a low chuckle as he undresses himself—getting ready for shower.
''Get you out of where?'' He laughs, turning to look at me without a single piece of clothing covering his body. I sit up straight, trying to free myself from the burrito wrap and once I'm free, I immediately throw the comforter towards him—which leads us to another war.
He pulls me towards the bathroom and turns on the shower, making me scream and pull him instead. The both of us are soaking wet and the only difference is that he's naked while I'm fully clothed and ready for class—which I find very frustrating.
''Fuck you!'' I push him in the bathtub which makes him laugh loudly, trying to pull me back.
''Aw, baby I'm so sorry,'' He laughs. ''Come back here, Rose. I'm sorry.''
Once he gets a grip on my waist, he immediately wrap his arms around it, pulling me towards him before letting me sit on the dry side of the bathtub, ''I just got ready for class and you fucked things up. That's really sweet of you, Emmet.'' I mutter, angrily trying to release his grip.
''Alright, bad timing and bad day, I guess? I'm sorry, go change and I'll take a quick shower. We'll be in time before you know it,'' He raises his body, kissing me on the lips for a few seconds before walking towards the shower—leaving me sitting here.
I stand near the door, ''You know what, it's fine. I'll meet you after class,'' I say, turning around and quickly change into a pair of new clothes before drying my hair—wanting to make myself look like I'm appropriately going to learn. Once I'm done, I see him getting out of the bathroom, giving me an apologetic look.
''I'm sorry,'' He says once more, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
''It's fine, I'll see you later.'' I quickly walk towards the front door after hearing him sigh deeply—letting me leave as I take my bag on the kitchen counter.
''I love you,'' I hear him say just seconds before I close the door.
Honestly, we're just like a regular couple. We have our moments. We have arguments, we fight, we love, we laugh, it all comes in a perfect package. That is what makes us a couple—we understand, we stay strong through all those things. It makes us love one another.
I breathe out, trying to calm myself before opening the door again, seeing him standing there—still with the towel hanging low around his waist, ''I love you too.'' I mutter with a slight smile on my face which makes him walk towards me, kissing me on the lips.
Then, I walk down the road, quickly making my way towards class because I know I'll be five minutes late—because of that little incident earlier.
After class, I head straight towards the nearest café, wanting to get something to eat for Emmet and I. We're probably going out for dinner but until that, I'll at least get us something. He called earlier, saying that he can't come and pick me up, he has to meet one of his assignment buddies just because that guy fucked up some of it.
As I enter the café, I am greeted with the smell of coffee which somehow soothes me down slightly.
I stand near the cashier, behind an unfamiliar man before looking around at the menu. Just seconds before I take a step forward, the man turns around—accidentally hitting my arm which causes his coffee to spill onto the ground, making my eyes widen in surprise.
''I'm so sorry, I'll get you a new one.'' I say, crouching down at the same time as he does.
My eyes look up into his immediately, seeing that he is also looking at me. Within seconds, I manage to realise that the man in front of me is the same man I saw yesterday. The same man I bumped into. His lips curve up into a small smile, shaking his head, ''It's fine, I'll get myself a new one.'' He replies.
My whole body freezes at the sight of him while I just leave him picking up the empty cup before one of the workers come to clean the mess up, making the both of us walk towards the nearest table, ''Just let me get you a new cup of coffee.'' I say, looking in my purse for money.
To my surprise, he stops me by holding onto my hand, making me frown at the amount of electricity passing through my veins; I've never felt this way before, even with Emmet, ''You don't have to.'' He gives me a reassuring smile—which weaken my knees immediately.
I look in my purse, realising that I left my wallet at home, making me sigh deeply, ''You know what, I'll just call my boyfriend and he'll be here to pay for your new coffee.'' I mutter, reaching out for my phone before looking up at the stranger again.
When I see the reaction on his face, I am surrounded with confusion all over again; it shows that he's also confused but he quickly covers it up by clearing his throat while I press call on my phone, waiting for Emmet to pick up.
''Hey,'' I say, as soon as he picks up the phone.
I hear noises from the other line, noticing how he's still outside, ''Hey, sunshine. I'm on my way home, is there anything you need?''
Clearing my throat, I eye at the man in front of me, seeing that he's actually clenching his jaw as he avoids any eye contact with me, ''I actually need you to come see me. I bumped into someone at the café near our school and apparently, I didn't bring any money to pay back his coffee.'' I chuckle at the end.
Emmet joins me, ''What's with you and bumping into people, recently? I'll be there in five.'' He replies and I smile—knowing how he would always be there for me whenever I need him.
Dropping my phone back in my purse, ''I'm Rose, by the way.'' I say, giving my hand as I earn a smile from him; seeing that he has a perfect set of dimples which surprises me at the sight of them.
''Elia,'' He replies, shaking my hand.
As soon as our hands touch again, it feels different. It feels like I've felt this kind of touch before but it must be insane for me to admit—that would highly be impossible. I've never met him but it feels like I've known him for awhile.
We both look into each other's eyes, somehow lost within the colours. I couldn't get enough of his brown eyes—it means something to me yet I can't comprehend what. While he's busy eyeing my whole face, I manage to take my opportunity and do the same.
The bell rings at the door as a sign that someone has entered the café and as I turn around to look, I see Emmet looking straight at my direction—which confuses me. He's not looking at me but he's currently looking at Elia. I pretend not to notice as I wave at him, earning a quick smile before he starts to walk towards me.
I stand in between, ''This is my boyfriend, Emmet and he'll be paying for your coffee today.'' I say, earning a light chuckle from Elia as he nods—but he looks back at Emmet, with some sort of meaning that I can't really understand.
''Let's get this over with, then.'' Emmet says, gesturing Elia to walk towards the counter with Emmet trailing behind him after glancing at my direction for a few seconds.
I stand at the same spot, waiting for them to finish. From behind, I see that they both are having a conversation but I can't seem to see if it's a decent conversation or not. As Elia picks up his coffee, the both of them starts to walk towards my direction once more.
''You forgot your purpose,'' Elia says towards Emmet, making him clench his jaw immediately.
''Excuse me?'' I raise an eyebrow.
Elia chuckles, ''He didn't just pay for my coffee, he paid for the scones too.'' He easily answer but somehow I see Emmet standing beside me in an uncomfortable state—but he covers it up nicely with a small smile on his face.
''Well, it's not everyday that you bump into someone and her boyfriend ends up paying for you.'' Emmet jokes which doesn't really sound like a joke—yet, I don't understand men.
The three of us end up keeping quiet which leaves us in an awkward state. Within seconds, Elia starts to glance down at his wrist watch, ''It looks like I'm late. Thank you for the coffee and scones, Emmet. It was nice seeing you, Rose.'' He smiles at me, before walking out of the cafe—until he's out of sight.
I take a closer look at Emmet and I see him sighing deeply, clenching his jaw for some reason. ''Are you okay? I can pay you back for the coffee and scones if that's what you're worried about,'' I say, trying to see his reaction.
He looks down at me, smiling slightly, ''No, of course not. Come on, we'll just buy some takeaways and eat at home, if that's okay with you?'' He asks.
Nodding, I lean in closer towards him as we walk out of the cafe, heading towards the nearest restaurant. As he wraps his arm around my shoulder, I wrap mine around his waist—due to our height, it's pretty much comfortable this way.
At home, we're currently slouching in the living room while we eat. For once, we're actually trying to relax instead of worrying about our assignments but that's the thing—we haven't finished them yet. I sigh, taking a bite of the meatballs I've bought earlier, earning a glance from Emmet; envy showing at the sight of meatballs.
''I asked if you wanted some but you said no, so don't give me that look.'' I shrug at him—which he responds with a chuckle.
Emmet sighs, closing his eyes before leaning his head against the sofa. I just continue on eating as I watch the show on television—it's been awhile since I've kept up with any of the shows so I'll appreciate this moment.
That's the thing between Emmet and I. He prefers watching movies instead of shows because he hates the fact that he has to wait for the episodes and how it leaves him hanging—he wants to know the ending and he wants a story that defines everything instead of leaving cliffhangers everywhere. As for me, I prefer both. I'm not a big fan of television shows but I watch them sometimes while Emmet doesn't want to watch them at all unless I force him to.
I place the plate on the coffee table before slowly making my way towards Emmet, seeing that he has fallen asleep. As I smile at the sight I see, I lightly draw circles on his cheek—wanting to see if he feels them or not. He's quite a deep sleeper sometimes when he's tired.
My index finger is tracing on his eyebrows and down to his lips before leaning in for a peck. Within seconds, I find him wrapping his arms around my body—making me yelp at the sudden contact. We both chuckle as he kisses me on the lips, making me smile as soon as our lips meet.
I cup onto his face as I sit on his lap, facing him. The both of us end up kissing each other in a passionate way; which makes me forget about the show I was watching. When one of his hand goes in my shirt, I immediately lean my body closer towards him; enjoying his touch.
We end up having a steamy make out before every single piece of clothing are all over the floor; leaving us skin to skin with each other's warmth. My hands are holding onto the sofa behind him as he continues to give me endless pleasures. Apart from that, my heartbeat is raising with every movement and every touch.
He trails kisses down my neck, making me grip harder onto the sofa.
As I pull onto the ends of his hair, he starts to groan before kissing me passionately on the lips while wrapping his arms around my waist, fastening his thrusts before slowing down after the both of us feel the pleasure exploding; leaving us breathless.
I kiss him one last time on the lips before standing up and walking straight towards the bedroom. After changing into a loose oversized shirt, I find him joining me as he looks up for his shorts and sweatshirt, ''I'm going for a run,'' He hugs me from behind before kissing me on the neck.
''Don't take too long.'' I mutter near his ear.
When I hear him closing the front door, I walk straight towards the living room, cleaning up the mess we've done and the food that was untouched. As I pick up the plates, I see that he forgot to bring his phone. Within seconds, the phone starts to ring; stating that there's a message.
I pick up the phone before eyeing the lock screen and see that there's a message from: Elia.
My eyebrows furrow in confusion as I quickly unlock his phone, reading the message.
You weren't supposed to make her fall in love with you. It's over, you forgot the agreement. I read in my mind which continues to leave me in confusion. Without further ado, I lock his phone again, heading towards the kitchen with the dirty dishes.
He wasn't supposed to make me fall in love with him? What does that even mean? I keep on thinking in my mind before I let myself fall slowly onto the ground, running my fingers through my hair; closing my eyes in respond.
I look at my fingers and I see as they shake with some of fear. Is it the fear of accepting reality or is it the fear of losing Emmet?
Then, I start to remember what happened earlier today. When my hand touched his, it was a feeling that I couldn't comprehend. It was a feeling that people would feel when they're in love with that special someone but what confuses me most is that, I'm in love with Emmet or is it all a game?
I wonder why it feels like I've known Elia forever when I just met him and it feels like a complete stranger with Emmet after knowing that he's actually keeping something behind my back.
Whatever it is, I intend on finding out.
