321 Honored Guests 3

There were four people were sitting in front of him drinking tea with masks on their faces. However, he knew one person's face by heart even with the mask on.

At seeing her so relax and calm without a speck of dirty on her, Ailwin was questioning the competency level of his army do guard the city's gates. If three students can enter a city without his men knowing, what else have they let in.

As Ailwin was planning out a new training regiment for his army, Mika was looking around the office in a carefree matter.

Just what have her parents been teaching her…?  Seeing her like this reminded him of when he found her in Ash city.

"Why are you here? You should have stayed at…"

"At home...I know. Yet, when we heard your soldiers knocking on other citizens' houses, I thought we should try our luck in receiving help." Mika placed the mug of tea down on the table before her.

"We thought we were the only ones left in the city. It was only today that we found out your highness was here. So we pack a little bit of our things and came over as quickly as we could."

Ailwin was silent for a while absorbing the information Mika had just fed to him.

Like Kaze, Mika was telling him that in the city there are no citizens but also that shouldn't be any government officials here as well. Has this city has been completely emptied, and if that is the case who were those people who welcomed him?

"Ah...then you are our honored guests…" Ailwin said after he quickly gathered his thoughts.

"Does that mean we can stay…" Celaena chimed in.

"Yes...of course. How can I throw out citizens of this city? Please follow me…oh, you can go back to your post now." Ailwin said, dismissing the soldier who escorted Mika into the room.

Walking out the door, Ailwin saw a big trunk.

"This is our luggage…" Mika cleared his confusion.

"Of course." Grabbing the trunk he led the group down the hall.

Along the way they happen to bump into Ruven who had just woken up from his sleep.

"S-sir…" Ruven greeted Ailwin but looking at the group behind him.

"Ruven, get some food for our guests." Ailwin ordered as he kept walking towards an empty room for Mika and the other to rest.

Ruven wanted to ask who exactly were these people with mask on their faces were, but to keep up appearances he nodded his head and let them pass without questions.

Soldiers?….Nah, they are too short to be soldier. Who the hell are these people?

When they were far enough away from him, Ruven did an about face to follow from behind. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.com for visiting.

However, just as he turned the corner they took, he crashed right into Kaze's chest.

"Didn't Prince Ailwin tell you to bring the food? Where is it?" Kaze looked down at Ruven's empty hands.

"Yes… I...but I don't know what they like to eat?" Thinking his excuse was good enough to allow him to continue following the group, Ruven moved to bypass Kaze.

"Oh…then I'll go with you. I can tell you what they like, it's no problem." Kaze began walking away in the opposite direction until he saw that Ruven wasn't following. Turning back around, he stared at Ruven. "You coming?"

"Uh, yea." Losing his chance, Ruven had no choice but follow behind Kaze to avoid being suspicious.

Kaze smirked, It's a good thing, young miss sent me back.

While Kaze was away, Ailwin brought everyone into one of a empty apartments in the building.

"Okay, you want explain to me why you are here!?" Ailwin said to Mika once he let everyone into the room and locked the door behind them.

"I was worried, and you are in need of help. It's a win-win situation." Mika said as she removed her mask.

"Mika…"

"Look...think of it this way. The faster we solve this situation, the faster we can leave." Shrugging her shoulders, she sat down on the empty couch.

"So, why don't you tell me what has been go on, and why isn't General Gilwenys with you?" she expected to see the big dunce's shock face when she entered the office.

At the mention of Braeden, Ailwin whole demeanor changed.

"What...what wrong?" Mika could feel the waves of distress coming off of him.

*Sigh*  "Fine, since you are already here I will explain what's is going on."

"All right, let's begin at the beginning…." She urged him once Hycis, Celaena, and nylian took off the masks and were seated.

"It started when we landed in this city…"Ailwin sat down heavily in the couch beside Mika as he began to recount everything that has led them to the situation they are in now.

While Ailwin was explaining everything that happen to Mika's group, Adamar and his people had reached the government building.
