402 Sticky Situation 9

Though Sienna wanted to refute Mika's words, she knew if she did Prince Ailwin would continue were he left off.

"No...of course, not." She hung her head down in defeat.

Mika turned towards her mother and father, "Great! Did everyone hear that, Sienna wants to give herself over to the Gods."

Glancing back at her elder sister, "She should leave immediately…"

Shocked by Mika's suggestion, Sienna thought she could procrastinate going until Mikaela leaves the estate then convince her father to cancel the move. However, it seems like her sister saw through her plan.

F**kin' bitch!, She balled her hands into fist, squeezing out the grass underneath her.

Mika bent down to pat Sienna on the shoulder, "Don't worry, I'm sure the sisters will take good care of you."

With her departure from the Amara clan set in stone, Lord Mano called over the Healer to treat Lady Delju and his daughter's wounds.

"Lord Mano, I would hated if all my hard work is ruin. Please make sure your Healer only treats them with the most basic of care." Ailwin's left his parting command for Lord Mano and the Healer as they transported the two ladies out, made Sienna shiver in pain.

The most basic care means the Healers will only provide medicine that prevents infections for her cuts. The bad bruises, aches, and gashes on her skin will be cured by her body's own healing abilities, meaning scarring.

As for her mother, the bones in both her hands will only be realigned then wrapped, make the recuperation process take longer. Any deformity in her bones and nerves that were damaged, she will have to live with for the rest of her life.

Hearing their suffering wasn't over, Sienna clench her jaw to stop herself from begging him further.

"I'll see to it...Prince Ailwin." Mano bowed his head and walked away with the Healer, Sienna and Lady Delju being carried away by the household guards.

With majority of everyone leaving, the courtyard got pretty awkward, pretty fast.

Ailwin turned to his mother-in-law to apologize for his behavior, but got cut off before he could even speak.

"We will speak in the morning…" Lady Lyra walked away then stopped at the front gate to wait for her daughter.

Mikaela knew her mother wasn't too happy with her right now, there is bound to be a lecture when they reached their courtyard. Things had not gone as she had hoped when had snuck out this evening.

"Mikaela…." Ailwin called her out of her thoughts.

"Hmm…?"

"What you saw in the bathroom wasn't me…"

"Oh? Do you have twin?"

"Mikaela, you know what I meant." He looked at her imploringly, he didn't want her to hold this against him unjustly.

"….Yea, I do."

Breathing a sigh of relief, Ailwin went to gather Mikaela in his arms for a hug, however she stepped away.

"Mikaela?"

"Although I know you didn't willingly touch her of your accord, that doesn't change the fact of what I saw….so, until I'm able to wipe away the memory of you two together... You can't touch this." With her parting words, she walked towards her mother.

The following afternoon, Mika woke tired and cranky.

As soon as they arrived back at their courtyard last night, Lyra didn't hold back on lecturing Mika on her lack integrity.

The scolding went into the wee hours of the early morning. Lyra only stopped when she herself began to yawn.

Finally able to get to bed, Mikaela was then tormented by her good memory as every time she closed her eyes, she saw Sienna and Ailwin together.

Frustrated and disgusted, she chose to take her mind off of Ailwin and Sienna by working. Hiding away in her mind's space. Mikaela worked on her research until her brain couldn't take it anymore and drifted off the sleep.

Unfortunately for her, after finally being able to close her eyes, her stomach and bladder began to portest.

Feeling like she only slept for five minutes, Mika woke up to realize it was already the afternoon.

"Argh...how is this possible!? I swear I only went to sleep a few minutes ago!"

Running to her bathroom, Mika cleaned and refreshed herself before heading to the kitchens.

The kitchen was busy with servant cooking at the stoves, knives chopping vegetables and people coming in and out of the room.

What the hell is going on here?

Mika saw the hectic room and wondered if she would be able to get some leftover breakfast.

Spotting Pia, she quickly walked over, "Pia, any breakfast still around?"

"Young miss, you are finally up." Pia pulled a tray from the side and placed it on a table. Removing the cloth covering it, she revealed a portion of breakfast reserved for Mikaela.

"Aww, Pia...you're the best!"

"En...eat." Sitting down at the table Mika dug into the food with relish.

"Pia… Why is this kitchen so busy today?" Mikaela asked as she bit into a piece of bread.

"Your mother is in a meeting with Prince Ailwin right now."

"Cough...cough...cough! What!?" The soup she was sipping went down wrong, "...Why didn't you tell me that first?"

"You didn't ask." Pia replied then continued on to peeling vegetables.

"Still, you could have told me…" Mika got up to leave.

"Lady Lyra said she wants to speak to him alone." Mika stopped walking and turned around to retake her seat.

I shouldn't push my luck with Mom right now...

"Then I should give those two some time alone to talk...wouldn't want my food to get cold." She wouldn't be able to deal with another lecture.

Finishing all the food on her tray, Mika planned to go back to sleep, however, Lady Lyra had other plans.

"Miss Mikaela... Lady Lyra said once you are done eating, you are to go to the training ground to practice."

"Wha-why!?"

"She said since young miss has the cunningness to sneak out at night, then you should put it to good use and train." Pia smiled.

"You're enjoying this aren't you…"

"...Yes."
