415 A Sure Thing...

"This isn't fair….Why am I the only one who constantly has to suffer, and now I scarred…" Sienna didn't want to cry because the salt from her tears will sting the wounds on her face, but she couldn't stop them from falling.

"Sienna….oh my poor Sienna…" Delju started crying all over again.

The thing Sienna hated the most right now was her mother. She hated that she had to be "poor Sienna" due to her mother's stupidity.

If I had Lady Jaelah or Lady Lyra as a mother, at least I would be marrying a prince right now.

Yet, since she is stuck with Lady Delju, all she felt she could ever get is scars on her body.

No, I can't let this happen!

Standing up, she left her mother crying in her room and went back to her own bedroom.

Closing the door, Sienna pulled out the only thing she saved from their burning home, her waistband.

Inside of it she had all her black market contacts from when she was selling the honey pilfered from the family's orchards.

Dialing a number she hasn't used in months, Sienna waited for it to connect.

"...who is this?" A deep dark scratchy voice came over the speaker.

"This is...Honey." Sienna stated her codename which she used with for all her transactions.

"Honey…! It's been so long since I've heard from you."

"...Yes."

"Honey...do you have some honey for me?"

The last time she tried to take honey from her father's orchards, it back fired on her. However, she has nothing else to her name to bargain with.

"Yes."

"Ah, perfect….then we are in business again. The same price as always-"

"Actually, I want to trade for something else."

"…...Oh?"

"Yes, do you have any contacts at the Celestial temple?"

"…..I might. Is there someone you know interested in going there."

"Yes!... I will give you the same amount of honey for an admit-"

"Honey….heh" The male's voice on the speaker sounded disappointed, "....You can't change the trade and expect to give the same amount. The admission letter to enter the Celestial temple is costly. It's much more than the original price of five canisters of honey."

"How much will get me that admission letter then?"

"Sigh...Let's see... Mmm, about fifty, will do."

"Fifty!?" She knew getting the admission letter to the temple wouldn't be cheap, but this much?

That amount is nearly a barrel worth of top grade honey, Is he crazy! I can't get that much!?

"Fifty is the cheapest I can go, honey... because i know you're good for it due to our past dealings, I decided to give you the lowest price. If you feel this is no good....then."

If I lose this chance now, I will have to become a canoness…

"No!...no, I can...I can get you fifty canisters!"

"Okay. I'll have the letter ready for you in two days...Make sure you are there at our usually meeting spot with the payment."

*Beep*

The man cut off the connection leaving Sienna alone with her thoughts.

"How am I going to get a barrel full of honey out of here in two days?"

"We can do it."

Sienna spun around to see her mother standing at the door, How long has she been standing there…?

"Relax, Sienna. I am your mother. I've known you been stealing honey to make extra funds for yourself before your father found out."

"….."

Lady Delju walked into her daughter's bedroom with her arms hanging loosely at her sides.

"Even though you never gave me a chip[1], I never had any plans to report you and I don't have any thoughts of doing so now." Sitting softly down on her daughter's bed, Delju closed her eyes for a minute before looking at her daughter again.

"I can move a barrel of honey out of the estate without your father being the wiser." Lady Delju smiled, "You just have to do one thing."

"What is that?" Sienna never seen her mother so calm before. It is quite unnerving to see.

"You have to promise to take care of me after you become a celestial."

"….!" So she did hear everything.

"Oh, Sienna don't look at me like that….I knew you were a heartless female, but I never though you would try to run away without me." Sienna couldn't say anything to refute her words.

She was tired of her mother always bring her down and ruining her plans. She did want to leave without her, and cut the dead weight off of her back.

"Fine...tell me how I can get-"

"Uh-huh, that's not how this is going to work. I need you to make a binding vow."

"What? Why?...You don't trust me-"

"No."

"Wha…"

"Sienna, I have raised you since you were born. Do you really think you can fool me?...As soon as you get everything you want, you will abandon me. I can not let that happen, especially now with my body like this." Delju held up her hands in front of Sienna's eyes.

"Make the binding vow or leave to become an canoness. The choice is up to you."

"Hmph!...fine. I vow to take care of my mother, the day I become a celestial…" Bright light zap into her body and settled in her heart, "...happy now?"

"Extremely." Hopping off of her daughter's bed, Lady Delju began walking towards the bedroom door.

Seeing her mother was going to leave, Sienna grasped her arm to stop her, "Wait! Our deal...What about the honey?"

"Relax, I will get you the honey." Delju shrugged her daughter's hand off of her arm.

"It needs to be done in two days...how can you do it by yourself with your hands like that." Sienna pointed out.

"Sienna, you are still too naive. Do you think the only way to steal some honey is to do it yourself?" Delju smirked, "Don't worry, you'll have the honey in two days."

With her mother's reassuring words, Sienna didn't stop her from leaving the room.

She didn't have a plan of her own, plus her mother seems quiet confident with herself. The only thing she can do now, is trust in her mother.

If all goes well, becoming a celestial is a sure thing…!
