441 Shadow

Kamryn wasn't able to react fast enough to Lensa' sudden intrusion into her bedroom, so she didn't correctly hear what she said.

"Excuse Me?"

"Ugh, I see all the brain cells in your family went to your sister."

Kamryn didn't know what Lensa was talking about, but she knew she was being insulted.

"Why are you in my room? Get. Out."

Ignoring the other female's order, Lensa walked further into the bedroom and even threw herself on Kamryn's bed, dirty shoes and all.

"Tell me about your younger sister."

Kamryn couldn't believe the audacity of this female. First, she tells the kitchen staff to serve her spoiled food, causing her to march her way into the kitchens herself to give them a good thrashing. The chiefs finally cave into her demands and served her good food order to protect their staff from dying.

After Lensa saw her initial plan had gone down the drain, she sent her maids to play a few harmful pranks on her. Like putting tiny shards of glass in her drinks, making her bed with poison snakes, and putting needles in her clothes.

When Kamryn finally had enough, she attacked those maids cruelly. Putting all of them out of commission for the next two months or so.

Thinking Lensa would see she couldn't take her down and would give up, Kamryn was unprepared for when the female sent in her personally guards to torment her.

The first time it happened was three nights ago. She was making her way towards her room when out of nowhere one of Lensa guards grabbed her by the arm and threw her hard at the palace's walls.

Her body smashed against the outer barrier wall so harshly that she heard and felt her shoulder pop out of its socket.

After that brutal and unexpected attack, three more have taken place in the same fashion. Kamryn had tried to fight back once, but she was no match for the guards.

Now the same female who caused her body to be broken and bruised, is sitting arrogantly before her, in her own room.

"Did you not hear what I said?" Kamryn stood up from her vanity chair.

"Oh, please sit down...unless you want my guards to show you how to sit." Lensa snapped her fingers and two guards walked into Kamryn's bedroom.

Clenching her fist, Kamryn sat back down at her vanity, facing the three intruders.

"Good. Now tell me about your sister."

"Lula? Go talk to her yourself." Kamryn rolled her eyes.

"No, not that piece of wasted air. Your other one, the short one."

Is she talking about Mikaela?

"Why?"

"Argh, because like you and Lula, she doesn't know her place… It's better from me to teach her now, rather than wait for when I am Queen."

Kamryn clench her hands, wanting to rip the pompous smirk off of Lensa's face, instead she scoffed.

"Tch! It's better if you left her alone. She is not someone like you," She looked Lensa up and down, "...can handle."

The insult was clear and it wasn't something that Lensa would take laying down, but she wanted information for now.

"Really? Why wouldn't I be able to handle your sister, when I've been able to bring you and Lula to your knees."

Once again, Kamryn wanted to jump out of her seat a wring the little twit's neck.

"Mikaela is very cunning, she'll see you guys coming before you even arrive on her doorstep."

"Hmm...I doubt it. If she is part of your family she can't possibly be that smart." Growing bored with Kamryn's company, Lensa hopped off the bed to exit to the room. However, before she left she gave Kamryn a parting gift for her earlier insult.

As Kamryn sat in her seat, her shadow on the floor turned towards the vanity mirror.

Suddenly, Kamryn herself turn towards her vanity mirror. "What the hells?"

Then her shadow picked up a pair of scissors off of the table's surface and brought it towards its face, making Kamryn's body do the same.

Panicking from her own body not listening to her, Kamryn screamed out for help as the scissors got closer and closer towards her face.

In one last motion, Kamryn's shadow stabbed it's self in the face and her body followed, causing a high pitch wretched scream to fill the palace halls.

Satisfied with the results, Lensa left the room with a bright smile on her face.

Now what should be Mikaela's punishment?

Sitting down in the cafeteria, Mika was eating a meal with her friends when she felt a shiver go down her back.

Damnit! Mika glanced around the cafeteria, My spider senses is picking up something.

"Mika, what's wrong?" Saavi looked down at Mika's still full plate.

"Nothing." She began to dig in to the food. "I want you guys to get started immediately on those Lords and Madams. The King should be receiving reports on the outbreaks soon. Hopefully, they will keep him too preoccupied to noticed your actions."

"En." Jaonos nodded, "We will start tonight. We already came up with a plan."

"Okay." Turning to look at Celaena and Hycis, "For the next couple of days you guys will shadow me."

"Why? I thought we were supposed to deal with Prince Thallan's people."

"You will. The first person on that list has already come forward."

"Who?" Celaena asked patting her bulging stomach contently.

"Prince Thallan's new wife, Princess Lensa."

"Why are we taking care of her first rather than your two sisters." Hycis questioned.

"Those two are powerless, we can take them down at any time. Furthermore, they'll do more harm to Prince Thallan then good." The five other people nodded their heads in agreement.

"Princess Lensa on the other hand has her father, General Narbeth. If we can cause division between the two…"

"It will weaken Prince Thallan's forces." Hycis said, getting the gist.

"...but how do you know she will attack you?" Saavi asked.

"She already met her by the dorm's gardens...she called her a bitch." Nylian answered Saavi question before Mika could.

"Wow, you really have a knack for irritating people after only meeting you once, huh." Jaonos commented, making the others laugh.

"What can I say, I was born this way."
