450 Brotherly Bonds

"Argh-ah!" Cohnal brought his halberd down hard on Mano's shoulder. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to chop the arm off as Mano moved his Clemency to block the attack.

"Mano, do you think you can defeat me." Cohnal gripped his weapon tighter as he bared down, causing blood to stain his brother's shirt.

"Cohnal, you are already defeated. Take a look around you." Mano gritted out.

Cohnal's soldiers were being slaughtered by Mano's men. He had been so focus on attacking his brother, he forgot about all his soldiers around him.

Only a few were left putting up a fight, "The-these aren't the household guards…!" Cohnal was sure that his soldiers were strong enough to kill the Amara's household guards like flies.

However, the soldiers killing his men were nothing like the guards he usually watch training in the estate.

"Shock? You think you are the only one with hidden troops." Mano pushed up and threw Cohnal off of him, "I had hoped I would never have to use them on my own clan members...my own brothers, but father was right. One can never be too sure."

"Father?…. Father gave you these soldiers!" Cohnal assumed.

He was sure the only way his little brother could beat him, is if he had help from their father.

Looking on in envy at the strength of these soldiers, Cohnal greedily thought that he should have been the one to get the soldiers. Then no one would be able to stand in his way in the clan.

They will be mine soon!

"Father didn't give me these soldiers." Mano broke his brother's disillusions, "I trained these soldiers myself. They swear loyalty only to me."

Cohnal looked at Mano as if he said something wrong, "Only to you? Hah! Wait until the clan is under my control. We will then see how loyal they are to you!"

Picking up his halberd once more, Cohnal swung it at his brother's head.

Regretfully, he didn't notice how his movements were slowing down.

They had only been fighting for twenty minutes, but Cohnal was already breathing much harder than his youngest brother.

Mano was barely putting in any effort to defend against Cohnal's strikes now. Every time his opponent would swing, Mano would easily avoid it and slice at his brother's body, leaving sharp cuts that gushed out streams of blood.

"Aah!" When Mano gave Cohnal another quick cut to his back, the man finally realized that he is covered in his own blood. While Mano had hardly a scrape on him.

This is not possible...why can't I kill him?

With the lost of blood and exhaustion, Cohnal' sight began to lose focus. Glancing around for help, he saw all his men were either dead or incapacitated on the ground.

It's not suppose to be this way…

Cohnal had planned and planned this rebellion for years. He had everything planned out, from his soldiers to his supporters. Yet, the one thing his didn't do was train his own fighting skills. Conceited, he was in thinking he could always beat his brother. Cohnal never trained diligently.

Growing bored with this fight with his oldest brother, Mano thought to put him out of his misery.

In a fluid motion, Mano swung Clemency around and aimed it at Cohnal's neck, to take his head clean off.

Like Tamnaeth, Cohnal knew this would be the end of him.

Drawing from whatever strength he could find within himself, Cohnal hand grew five times it's size and stopped Mano's strike.

"Heh...it's not over yet, little brother."

Taking hold of Clemency, Cohnal grew his body an several extra meters until Mano feet couldn't no longer touch the floor as he hung on to his weapon.

Dangling in the air, Cohnal laughed at the picture his baby brother painted.

"Now, let's see if you can take my head!"

Spinning around Cohnal and threw Mano away from him into an awaiting structure.

Laughing loudly as his giant body stomped towards the now destroyed building that Mano crashed into.

None of Mano's soldiers rush in to stop him. In fact they stayed back out of the two brothers' path. They knew Lord Mano needed to be the one to put an end to his brother's life.

As Cohnal reached the building, he didn't see Mano laying in the pile of rubble. Digging his hands through the destroyed structure, he still didn't his brother's body.

Alert now, Cohnal searched the area, "Mano!….Mano! Come out here a fight m-*cough*"

Mano had come from behind his brother and slam Clemency right into his back, though he was aiming for his neck.

Swiftly tugging the halberd from Cohnal's shoulder blades, he wanted to go back in and attack again. However, his brother enlarged his body even more before tossing Mano off.

"Haha! My turn!" Lifting up his foot, Cohnal wanted to squish his brother beneath his foot.

Mano' soldiers started to become scared, not only for their leader but also for the estate which Cohnal was destroying with his titan size.

"Evacuate the clan members…!" The Captain heard Mano shout out as he ran passed them to dodge his brother's crazy attacks.

The men moved carefully to not get trapped under giant feet as they began pulling clan members out of their homes and toward safety.

Cohnal saw what the soldiers were doing and did mind them, he was delighted that more were present to see him kill Mano and become clan leader.

As the clan members were being evacuated, Cohnal got more aggressive with his attacks.

Destroying residences, gardens and the like just to kill his brother.

I need to end this now…! Mano thought as a piece of a roof almost killed one a fledgling while she was trying to escape with her family.

Mano looked at the destruction to the estate and members as he led Cohnal towards a more isolated area.

Once he led him towards the outer edges of the Amara clan, he turned back around to face Cohnal, who was now staggering and sweating from maintaining his titan size for too long.

Plus, all the wounds Mano has placed on his body wasn't helping. With Mano making him run around the clan, his heart was pumping faster which made his wounds bleed more.

Complexion pale, Cohnal still tried to act like he had the upper hand.

"Baby brother, why were you running away?"

"I wasn't running away. I was leading you towards a better spot for your death."

Angry that Mano was still confident despite his size, Cohnal roared before charging at his brother's figure.

Staying still until the last moment, Mano use a bit of energy to flip high onto Cohnal's back.

"Older brother it seems you have forgotten what my true gift…shall I remind you?" Mano said close to Cohnal's ear.

Realization dawning, Cohnal screamed as he tried to get Mano off his back.

"N-N-Nooo! Don't!"

Placing his hands on the cut he left on his eldest brother's shoulder blade, Mano proceeded to suck out Cohnal's life force.
