455 Dinner With the Devil 3

Rychell didn't allow Mika to have enough time to hide this time as he sent wind blades slicing at her head every so often.

Ducking and weaving, she dragged their fight further into the palace. Rychell had ordered the servants and the guards away from the dining room and courtyard, so no one would get hurt.

However, now that their fight was being led elsewhere, servants and guards alike were getting caught in the crossfire of his attacks.

Despite his people dying around him, the King didn't stop his fun.

Once the palace began to shake and the screams of the servants were heard, news soon spread of what was happening to the other floors. When the servants saw Mika gunning down the hallways, everyone would run away like the devil was licking at their heels.

Mika was fine with it, this was exactly what she wanted. She should easily be able hide amongst the mass panic of the servants trying to get away.

Unfortunately, her plans were not a King who cares about his people. Once Rychell couldn't see Mika's figure anymore due to the servants running in panic, his anger flared and he started attacking the servants.

"Get out of the way!"

Upon the staff realizing that were in mortal danger being collateral damage, they really began to panic as they pushed and tripped as they tried to get away.

Using this to her advantaged, Mika escaped into one of the palace's inner rooms.

"Who are you?" A female's voice asked from the shadows.

Mika walked further in to the room to see that she had mistaking entered a bedroom.

Mika surmised that the woman in front of her must be one of King Rychell's queens from the way she was dressed.

Before Mika could respond to her question though, one of the queen's maids spoke up, cutting off Mika's response.

"She is the fledgling the King plans to kill tonight."

Mika glared at the maid, Tsk... rude!

"Ah! Right, that is what all this noise is about." The queen gave one last look at Mika and then turned away.

"Throw her outside." The female said.

The maids gathered around Mikaela to push and pull her towards the bedroom door.

As she tried to fight the maids' hands off of her while still trying to keep quiet, Mika saw an opening towards the bedroom windows. Kneeing a maid in the gut, she ran towards the windows. Yet, the minute she got there, Rychell charged into the room after hearing the shuffle.

Seeing his prey about to make an escape, he sent a fierce attack Mika's way that instantly killed everyone standing in the room, including his queen. Forced to jump from the windows, Mika didn't get a chance to see where she was jumping to.

Rychell was having so much fun chasing his mouse around the palace, he didn't see nor didn't care about the carnage he was leaving behind.

A few minutes later, she heard crash come through the same spot where she landed at.

Damnit! Did they lace his wine with steroids or something…

She ran as she tried to located where she was in the palace while also making sure she does take a wrong turn somewhere and trap herself.

Looking to her right, she could see the imperial gardens that she escaped from last time. Knowing where she was running to, Mika came up with a plan.

Taking a left instead of a right and running away from the gardens, she threw out wind blades of her own to kill all lights in the hallway.

When Rychell made the turn Mika took, all he could see was a dark hallway.

"Heh...little mouse is getting smarter."

He approached the hallway cautiously, but didn't slow down his pace. He didn't think there was anything Mikaela could do to him that could hurt or kill him.

Racing down the dark hallway, he sensed her in front of him but the minute he went to speed up to catch her, his legs sunk into the floor and were stuck.

"What the fu-"

Happy her nanos did their part, Mika didn't waste any time. Lifted up the section of the floor the King was stuck in, she shot it through the several floors and ceilings of the palace.

Though her plan work, she didn't believe for a minute that this attack killed him.

Having bought herself some time, Mikaela took off running again.

Pumping her legs as fast as she could, using whatever energy she could muster. Mika pushed threw a large door, and found herself in the palace garage.

Taking a look around the area, she noticed none of the royal guards are here.

Moving to the nearest vessel at the launch port, Mika dropped a couple of the nanos in the lock pad and waited for them to open the hatch door.

Within thirty seconds the doors opened and she jumped inside. Turning on the navigation system, Mika prepared for lifted off.

However, the minute she tried to take off into the awaiting dark sky. The carrier wouldn't move. Asking her nanos to do diagnostic of the vessel, she soon found the problem. Each of the ships in the palace garage are magnetically anchored to a belt which takes it to the launching port for safe take off.

If she wanted to leave now, she needed to cut the power to released the anchor so she can manually fly herself to the launching port and out of the palace.

"Shit!" Mika slammed her hands down on the navigation controls.

Opening the hatch and jumping out, she moved quickly to locate the power source for the magnetic anchors.

Seeing controls to the side of the room, she swiftly ran over. Ripping off the cover over the panel, pulled at the wires connected to the belt to find the right one to cut.

"Boom!" Just when she cut the wire connected to her carrier's anchor, Rychell crashed landed inside the garage and he didn't look okay.

His clothes were dust-covered and ripped, his hair was disheveled and the his face looked like a wax candle as pieces of skin seem to be melting off his face.

Ugh...well as far as villains' appearances goes he still no Freddy Krueger.

As the thought entered her mind, she hidden behind one of the vessel in the garage watching the King.

Rychell peeled off the rest of the face mask Tiriana placed on him face today.

Eww...I stand corrected.

The drastic and horrifying change from Rychell's young handsome face to his real one, shocked Mika too much that she felt her stomach roll.
