467 Get to Decide

Osonia stared at this young beautiful female in front of her with disbelief on her face.

"You know this is the King's ship right…?"

"I'm aware." Mika said flatly.

Osonia did think anyone in their right minds would highjack the King's ship.

"Then you know he will track you down and kill you, right?" Osonia continued as if Mika couldn't understand her own predicament.

"He'll do that whether I steal this ship or not…" Mika stated off-handedly as she urged Osonia to get up off the floor and follow her.

Still holding her broken nose and with Mika holding the crowbar, Osonia chose to follow. She didn't want to get hurt again. Besides, she wasn't a fighter. She didn't join the King to be a soldier, that wasn't the why she was recruited.

Mika brought her to her escape pod and made her sit down in the empty passenger seat.

"Why are you doing this?" Osonia pinched her nose to try to stop the bleeding.

"Doing what?" Mika didn't understand the question.

"This!…" She motioned to the escape pod with her free hand, "...Attacking us. We haven't done anything to you!"

"You haven't done anything to me….yet." Mika's eyes when she answered the question were cold and dark, "...And since I'm here, I'll make sure you won't do anything."

Osonia couldn't understand the words coming out of this female's mouth. Was she supposed to know what they did wrong to this person?

"What have we yet to do?" Osonia asked in a quieter voice.

Mika pulled some rope she found amongst the survival kit in the shuttle and tied Osonia to the seat. After Osonia was secured, she pulled a medic box from the bottom compartment and helped the female wipe her nose free of blood.

"Ow owowow...be gentle, please!" Osonia cried out.

"I am being gentle, you big baby." Mika tossed away the dirty cloth outside of the pod before coming back and grabbing hold of female's nose.

"W-W-What are you going to do!?" Panicking, Osonia cried out.

"Hold still."

"W-Wait!"

*Crack*

"Aaaahh-"

*Slap!*

"Stop it. It wasn't that bad." Mika slapped the young female to make her stop screaming after putting her nose back in place.

A few more wipes of the cloth to get the excess blood off of her face and Mika was done.

*Sniff*

"Ow… You didn't answer my question." Once she realized she wasn't in any danger, Osonia tried to get answers.

"And what question was that?" Mika went back to her task of controlling the ship.

"What have we yet to do to you?"

"Don't you know already, Osonia…?" Mika looked at her with a smirk on her face and ridicule in her eyes. "After all, you also have a problem with this mission of killing my clan."

"That's right," Mika smirked, "...I heard the little conversation you had with one of your co-workers down in the engine room."

Mika closed the hatch to the escape pod, "At first, I was just hiding away on this ship trying to escape from that demented a**hole. Buying my time until you guys land to make my getaway, but who would have thought that I got on the very ship that was sent to kill my family."

Mika wagged her finger at Osonia as she walking back to her seat, "That's a no-no."

Osonia was really panicking now. She had hoped that she would be able to talk this female into stopping her plans. However, this bombshell was not what she thought was the reason for her highjacking their ship.

"What? You have nothing else to say?" Mika smiled, as she rewrote the authorization codes.

"It is for the greater good…" Osonia said in a small voice.

Mika stopped typing and stared at her, "What did you say?" A murderous intent filled the pod.

"I-It's for the greater g-good."

"Really now?….and how is that?" Leaning back in her seat, Mika wait for the female to explain.

Seeing that she has an opportunity, words started rushing out of Osonia's mouth, "W-with the honey from your clan we can live forever! We'll have stronger powers to defeat our enemies and there will be no more pain, hunger or…"

"Deaths?" Mika interrupted her. Shaking her head, she continued on to talk once Osonia remained silent.

"So, let me get this straight. You, the King and the people on this ship have already sacrificed hundreds maybe even thousands of people already for this immorality... And now, you want to kill even more people for it."

"It's for the great good…" Osonia stared down at her feet, not looking Mika in the eyes.

"For whom? Will everybody receive immortality?...Well, obviously not, as you guys have already been deciding who get to live and who get to die."

Mika grabbed Osonia's chin and lifted up her head so their eyes can meet.

"Why does my family have to die so you guys can live?" Mika waited.

When Osonia saw that she was waiting for an answer, she didn't know what to say. The only thing that would come out of her mouth were words her peers used to say to her whenever she had objections to their tasks.

"Someone has to pay the cost fo-ahh!"

Mika punched her right in the stomach, "You deserved that."

Osonia didn't say anything else. Even she didn't understand why she said that, she didn't believe those words herself.

Looking at the petite back of the female in front of her, she felt ashamed that those words came out of her mouth.

Soon the escape pod turned silent except for Mika's typing.

A few moments later, Mika clapped her hands together and said, "Showtime!"

Osonia didn't know what she was planning to do, but she didn't bother her anymore.
