Yuuki was exhausted. Gon had way too much energy for his own good. She was still pretty upset about how quickly he found her too. As soon as she got home she went upstairs and collapsed on her bed.

Yuuki couldn't help remember her dream last night. She wasn't sure if she actually talked to the person who sent her here or if she just imagined it but whatever it was, it was right. It was entirely her own fault she was useless, unlike those other reincarnates she wasn't super talented or good at a particular skill. She simply slacked off in her old life.

All she had was her knowledge of the main story. This was definitely a major advantage, but it could also be a disadvantage. If she relied to heavily of her plot knowledge to advance she would come at a loss if she somehow changed it or when she reached the end of it.

Besides the plot of Hunter x Hunter was very much Gon's story. Although she really loved it, it would be such a shame if she just followed it through instead of exploring a bit on her own.

Yuuki sighed. What did that guy say? Try using my brain a little? I wonder what he was saying? I guess I am a little too focused on strength. I am only five right now, of course I will be weak. She should really stop comparing herself to Gon too, he was a little monster.

You've got your own strengths too Yuuki! She thought encouragingly, like... umm... well I bet you can do mental math better than Gon. The guy said you had good pain tolerance too... that's something.

My brain, huh? Although the Hunter exam mainly tested strength there were lots of examples where it tested your intelligence instead. Such as in the gourmet hunters sushi test of the second stage in the manga and parts of the third stage, trick tower. There were ways to pass the fourth stage without possessing great strength like the ones Pokkle used.

Yuuki stopped herself. The Hunter exam won't happen for seven years. Stop thinking about it. She needed to focus on herself now.

Hanging out with Gon would definitely make her stronger and besides it was quite fun. Yuuki couldn't remember the last time she properly hung out with a friend.

I should work on increasing my knowledge for now. Use my brain. After all I actually know very little about this world. I only know what was presented in the manga and anime which was surprisingly little. Of course there were definitely little details about the world but she always found stuff like that hard to remember.

There was no school on Whale Island, the children were sent work to complete. Yuuki hadn't started yet, but she was pretty sure she would start later this year. That wouldn't be enough though. Yuuki already knew basic knowledge, what she needed to learn was knowledge of the language, the world and the creatures that inhabited it.

Yuuki was so excited to find out about the magical things that inhabited the Hunter x Hunter world. It was hardly learning at all. There was no way she would get work on those, however. She would need to ask her mum about them.

She should also try to learn some of the stuff she neglected in her previous life, art, music etc. Yuuki had really slacked off in her previous life, but this was her second chance. There was no way she would die alone and forgotten again.

"Yuuki, it's time for dinner" she heard her mother yell from downstairs.

Yuuki ran down the stairs to the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"Hey mum, I need to ask you something." She said.

She was going to become an amazing hunter and live her life to her absolute best.
