Xiao Chun Dan stares at the stats window. As usual, there's not a single change in the digit. Someone hacked the connection between him and Huang Qiuyan. He needs to talk to Huang Qiuyan. If he can go back inside her mind, he might be able to find out what went wrong. 

If he had done his research well, this wouldn't be happening to his host. 

He is going to save his host. He would do anything to save his host. He only needs to get into his host's mind again.

He hears the sound of footsteps. He looks up and sees the door opening. The woman with vivid green eyes lets out a curse when she feels the repulsion from the invisible wall, stepping backwards. She rubs her forehead. When she notices Xiao Chun Dan, she gives him a dazzling smile. "Xiao Chun Dan, I missed you a lot."

The face is the same. The body is also the same. But this is not his host. "You are the woman from that empty place."

"It was meant to happen after the merging." Li Dai Yu smirks at him, "Xiao Chun Dan, nobody can save your host if her body is gone. Drinking Fu Sheng's blood won't save her. It will heal her body, but the decaying will resume as soon as the blood is consumed by the magic inside this body. Sooner or later, she will die with me. You will also die with us. You also won't get what you want."

Xiao Chun Dan knits his brows. He's not an idiot. This person wants something from him. Otherwise, why would she speak to her like this?

Li Dai Yu sighs softly. "Huang Qiuyan was always weak. She didn't have the ambition that you wanted her to have. You want to become the best system to make your developer regret abandoning you back then. Huang Qiuyan also doesn't feel like she's good enough for Fu Sheng. Xiao Chun Dan steps closer to the invisible wall between them. "What do you want to say?"

"You want to break the bond." Xiao Chun Dan scowls at her.

"She had two more wishes before she fell asleep. She didn't want Fu Sheng and you to die along with her." Li Dai Yu grins at him. "One way or another, this bond is quite a hassle. Why must I die if Fu Sheng also dies someday?"

Why is he thinking about an annoying human child before his host? Xiao Chun Dan lets out an exasperated sigh. His host's feelings have also affected him.

Fu Mian fills the blue colour in the background of the picture, thinking hard about her mother and father. Even if Uncle Dan had told her that it wasn't her fault, she can't forget how her mother looked like at that moment. If her mother also becomes like the vampires who become crazy because of her, would her father also kill her mother? 

She looks at the door when she hears it opening. Her father steps inside. She blinks her eyes and whispers, "Daddy…?"

"I am here." Fu Sheng sprints to her and takes her in his arms before she could burst into tears. He strokes her back and mumbles, "Your father is here."

"Don't kill Mommy," She begs while bawling her eyes out. "She's sick because of me."

"No, it wasn't your fault." Fu Sheng tells her with a quiet voice, "Your Mother didn't get sick because of you. Don't ever think that."

"But she was…" 

"Believe your father's words." Fu Sheng cleans his daughter's face. He speaks with unwavering voice, "It didn't happen because of you."

Fu Mian's heart calms down a little after hearing her father's words. "Will she get better?"

He can't promise something that he's not sure about. He kisses her forehead and says, "I need to go back to your mother. Be a good girl and sleep. I can't read to you tonight."

"It's okay." Fu Mian nods her little head. "Mommy needs you more than me. You should be with her. I want to see her become better. I won't cause trouble."

His daughter is growing up. Fu Sheng smiles at her. "It will be fine soon. I will make this world a better place for you and your mother."

"I don't want this world." Fu Mian clutches the fabric of her dress. "I want my daddy and mommy to be with me. That's all."

Fu Sheng feels helpless. He can't tell her that her parents will be with her in the future. He covers her with a blanket and gives her a good night kiss. He will do whatever it takes to bring Huang Qiuyan back.
