66 Are you happy?

She had heard that the positions to work in the criminal department were limited and many people had to try for more than ten years to get the position of even a trainee. With her academic excellence and her subject of thesis she thought it might be a little easy for her but, she was rejected by two private firms without a reason and was waiting on the update from the department.

Though she had her father's company to take care of but, she wanted to put her knowledge to use and learn more about different peopple's thought process.

Thanking the senior for his help Zhi Ruo went back. Looking at her till she disappeared, Senior Xu took the bottle he offered her and drank the remaining water from it while murmuring 'Still so naive'

Coming back, Zhi Ruo was called by Mother Zhi to take a walk in the garden.

While they were walking mother Zhi asked her if Qing Shan was considerate of her.

Though this question cannot be answered with just a day or two days of living with someone but mostly, the time is good enough to judge a person based on observation. Rest, people can also hide their true colours the whole life....

Taking a deep breath, Zhi Ruo nodded.

Though she was not sure about anything else, but her husband sure considered her.

"Lets sit on the bench" pointing towards the bench near the water fountain said mother Zhi

"You are almost graduated, what do you plan on doing next? Do you want to study further?"

Hesitating for a couple of seconds she said thst she wanted to gain experience..and might eb joining the department as a trainee or intern.

"Did you speak to Qing Shan about it?"

"Why?" asked Zhi Ruo

Smiling gently on her daughter's question Mother Zhi explained her

"Ruoruo, a marriage is built on communication as well. You have to talk with your husband about your decisions, your plans and your ideas. This is the best way to reduce the distance between a husband and wife.

I know you already have an idea about everything, so I will not say much. But Zhi Ruo, once a step is taken you cannot go back....the only way would be to go forward."

Surprised Zhi Ruo asked in a shaking voice

"So you mean...."

"There are so many things I am unaware of, and the one who knows about it...

I can only help you till here, further, you have to figure out..." Dropping this sentence Mother Zhi left

After spending some time in the garden thinking about what mother Zhi's words implied, Zhi Ruo decided to go forward instead of being stagnant.

Coming back, Qing Shan noticed Zhi Ruo was unusually quiet and was lost in her own world. Though they would not talk much but she would be quite attentive about everything while right now she was completely lost.
