166 Free of shackles

A small part of Zhi Ruo's heart was happy, dancing, feeling elated. After so many years she met someone who knew her mother. Someone who she can ask about her mother. Since her mother died, she became a forbidden topic in their home. To show that she had come out of the trauma of losing her mother Zhi Ruo never talked about her mother. All the questions everything she kept it buried in her heart.

"I know you have so many questions. I have the answer to all those questions. I know the past, present, and future as well. But, I don't have the ability to tell you. This has to be done by only the one who is involved in this." Grandma Qing explained, making Zhi Ruo's happy heart fall back into sadness.

"Can you not answer any of my questions?" Zhi Ruo asked in a choked-up voice. Her eyes were filled with tears while her heart was beating wildly with the hope of hearing a yes.

Zhi Ruo's pitiful appearance shook Grandma Qing's strong determination. Eventually, Grandma Qing compromised, "Dear, you can ask me what you want to ask. But, I am not sure if I will be able to answer it?"

Zhi Ruo quickly rubbed her eyes and asked, "I am confused. On one side, the mother said not to believe your husband, while on the other side dad wants me to start a family before I turn 20. How do I solve this?"

"When you were born, many people wanted to make you their daughter in law, including me. But, your mom decided to let you live free of such shackles and choose a man who you would fall in love with later in your life. She was scared that you might end up falling for someone not worthy of you. Thus she explained it to you. The reason your dad wants you to start a family is a little complicated. But, if you want to get the permission of your mother. Ask her and I am sure she will answer." Grandma Qing answered with a smile which was gentle but held a lot of surprises.

"Will she?" Zhi Ruo asked with a confused and unbelievable face.

Nodding her head Grandma Qing looked at the sky and smiled gently as if she was communicating with the sky.

"You said all my answers will be given by the person involved with it, but the person involved in it is no more. Then, how will I get my answers?" Zhi aterruo asked.

"Do you believe in magic?" Grandma Qing asked to which Zhi Ruo shook her head.

"Then, do you trust me?" Grandma Qing asked again to which Zhi Ruo nodded.

"Then trust me. You will start getting the answers soon. If you have any other questions then you can ask me. I will always have the answers. But, Zhi Ruo remember don't push the limits. Everything has a time, if things are rushed they might not be beneficial for you." Grandma Qing explained as well as warned Zhi Ruo before both went back inside the house.
