29 Chapter 29: Somewhat Apprenticeship

Robert, on the other hand, was tired, injured, and pretty annoyed at how nothing he did worked. He did things that could make a protagonist of a wuxia novel in their early phase blush in shame. Robert quick casted so many damned spells at the same time, depleting his mana supply to its absolute lowest. Any more, and he'd probably pass out. If it wasn't due to his baptism from the world tree and his genes as the demon king's son, then he wouldn't even be able to do 10% of what he had just done. Despite all that, nothing proved to be effective however to the gothic lolita.

Yue sneezed as she patted the dust of her clothes. She looked at Robert that was lying on the ground with an amused gaze. She then proceeded to slowly walk towards Robert, picked up a stick that was lying around, and then crouched down.

\"Hey, that was actually a bit fun. It's not everyday I can see someone as young as you pull off an expert ranked spell even after throwing out so many other spells beforehand.\" Yue said as she poked Robert's aching body with the stick.

'I'd be damned if you could see someone like that everyday!'Robert cursed in this mind.

\"Thank you for the compliment, Miss Yue, but if it's possible, then please do stop poking my body. I am not really in a very good condition right now.\" Robert said weakly.

Yue touched her chin with her index finger and thumb, and she pondered for a second before poking harder with the stick unto Robert's body.

\"Nopeeee.\"Yue said.

Robert groaned in pain.

The surrounding students were starting to feel sorry for the poor kid. They wanted to help, but they didn't want to risk the possibility of being the next one to be beat down. Even Ray wasn't moving to help Robert.

\"Hey, Miss Yue.\" Robert asked.

\"What is it weak pipsqueak?\" Yue replied.

Robert winced at the nickname, but didn't dare complain.

\"I was wondering why you would make me primarily use spells when you're a hand-to-hand combat instructor.\" Robert replied.

\"I'll tell you that later. For now, you're allowed to become my little somewhat apprentice.\" Yue said.

Robert was happy, but then was puzzled by what Yue meant as a \"somewhat apprentice\". Before Robert could ask, Yue spoke up again.

\"You'll only be a somewhat apprentice, because I'll be sharing you with someone else for a bit. You'll know the reason why later, and you can't complain about being shared.\" Yue said with a firm tone.

\"Good, now that's sorted out. I'll be taking you somewhere nice.\" Yue said as she grabbed Robert, and put him on her shoulder as if he was a sack of rice to be carried away.

Robert was in immense pain. He was cursing profusely in his mind. He couldn't even heal himself as he exhausted his mana, and needed to rest to recover. He shouldn't have gone too damned far. He had to admit that he was showing off when he was using the absurd quick mulitcast spells.

[Spells aren't meant to be casted so many times in one instant! They are meant to be casted once, but end with a wonderful explosion! Only that can be considered a true spell!] Megumin commented in his mind.

Hearing this, Robert could only agree. Truth be told, the spells he quick casted varied in power, and quite a bit of them were weaker than when he usually casted the same spell. Mastering spells isn't simply learning how to cast them. It's about fine tuning and refining a spell. Two spells of the same kind may not necessarily be of the same strength.

Yue looked at the still somewhat dazed students, and told them to train what they usually train in. She didn't have time right now, and she needed to have a talk with this crazed kid that dared to do such risky things. She also had to get \"that guy\" to heal this kid.

Yue didn't care if it was Robert's last class. He was going to be staying where she was going to place him for tonight anyways. She took out a blue bead from somewhere and crushed it. She smirked and thought,

'It's going to get more interesting from here on.'
