The news of William creating Dragon’s blood warriors on a large scale spread to the entirety of the City of Dawn within just a day.
It was welcome news, and it created huge waves within the Human and Half-Elves legions.
But most of the Elves were not that excited by the news. They did not register to become a Dragon’s blood warrior.
Elves were more concerned about their appearance the best rather than obtaining additional power.
It was simple.
Being strong or not was a problem of the game version, but being handsome or not was a lifetime matter.
Elves believed that looking appealing was the most important.
The Dragon Scales of the Dragon Followers and Speakers could be hidden underneath the skin. But when the Dragon’s blood was activated, the Dragon scales would surface from the skin.
The really unfortunate ones were the Dragon Followers as their Dragon scales would grow all over the body. So, they looked like monsters…
William had made it known that all Dragon Followers would have Dragon scales on their body, but he did not divulge that Moses was an all-rounded Enchanter. Hence, most of the Elves were not interested in becoming a Dragon Follower.
William could not be bothered with the Elves, who were concerned about their looks. He selected 200 Humans and 100 Half-Elves, whose loyalties were 900+. Their bloodlines were inferior, but they were young warriors who were willing to sacrifice their lives.
But there was an essential requirement!
They had to possess the fire attribute in order to make full use of the Dragon’s blood potential.
So then why did William not choose those with superior bloodlines?
It was because the Dragon’s blood had a limited effect on those with superior bloodlines.
NPCs with inferior bloodlines could become high-level professionals, and they even had a certain chance to attain the master or the epic level.
This was the reason why fresh Dragon’s blood was so precious.
Whether it was a Dragon Follower or a Dragon Speaker, when they transformed, they got a drastic increase in power.
During the battle at the snowy mountains of the East Sea, the three Dragon Speakers had exhibited the power of a hundred warriors even before transforming.
If William had not killed the Fire Dragon in a single blow.
They would have continued rampaging, and everyone would have witnessed the true capability of the Dragon Speakers!
However, the Dragon’s blood warriors also had their weaknesses.
After the period of transformation was over, a vulnerability period would follow. In such a state, their combat power was drastically reduced. Hence, if the battle had not ended by then, they would be in a precarious situation.
It was not worth mentioning the weaknesses of the Dragon’s blood.
The military fortress, the one that Iron Nation had painstakingly built, had now become an important military stronghold of the City of Dawn.
Of course, the Iron Nation made protests and demands, asking for the military fortress to be returned. The City of Dawn would face repercussions otherwise, as Iron Nation would launch an attack to take back the military fortress by force.
But the City of Dawn rebuked by saying that the Iron Nation had not gained the approval of the City of Dawn before constructing the military fortress. Hence, the City of Dawn had no choice left but to occupy the military fortress.
However, no battle would take place between the City of Dawn and Iron Nation.
After the Dragon-slaying battle, Iron Nation had lost its powerful commanders and legions. Moreover, its enemy, Black Lava Nation, was about to launch an attack. So Iron Nation could not spare its attention towards the City of Dawn…
William made simple arrangements for the military fortress.
He named it the Light Fortress and ordered Christian to defend the fortress with the Fearless Legion. The legions guarding the fortress would be rotated every month.
The 60,000 slaves who had constructed the fortress had been freed by William. Most of them returned to the City of Dawn.
William announced another soldier recruitment order. He had the intention to create a new Human legion.
Their instructors would be 500 of William’s Elfin guards. All of the other legions, too, had been receiving their guidance for the past half a year.
William also deployed 100 of his personal guards to defend Light Fortress and train the 3,000 new soldiers that he had selected.
In general,
The quality of the legions in the nations, kingdoms, and empires of [Gods] was very good. A small percentage of the legions had a fearless quality.
But when compared to the Elves, the difference was too great.
What was the reason?
It depended on the warrior’s training quality, the armor and weapon quality, and whether the legion commander was superior. If all the criteria were met, the soldiers would be able to defeat the enemy during battle.
In this situation, if the legion had good discipline and culture, it could even inflict greater damage.
And no matter what,
The military discipline and culture of Human legions were much inferior to the Elves.
If a Human legion were to be trained by Elves, the Elves would infuse their training methods into the Human legion.
Moreover, the instructors were William’s personal guards. They would also spread William’s good qualities such as greatness, glory, and righteousness to everyone.
Odom made use of William’s dragon-slaying feat to implement the policy of “Learn from the Lord to become a hero.”
The policy was to allow the commoners to learn the good qualities and noble character of the Lord, such as not yielding to powerful enemies and taking advantage of the weak and vulnerable…
“Odom… good job.” William was extremely pleased with the fawning of Odom.
The Dragon Followers’ ceremony was located at the central plaza. Plenty of fresh flowers could be found, and one could spot a small bridge crossing over a stream.
300 chosen warriors, dressed in briefs, neatly stood in a military formation as they looked forward solemnly.
The Dragon Followers’ ceremony attracted a lot of commoners. The streets, the nearby houses, and even the roofs were filled with curious spectators.
It was the first time that Moses appeared before the crowd. Most people recognized him as a fortune-teller, but they did not expect him to know such magic. They were curious about Moses.
The Space Archmage, Old Band, was also stealthily watching the scene. He was also curious as he had not expected William to seek the help of other people instead of him.
Old Band was indignant. He wanted to see how capable Moses was.
Then,
Moses lazily yawned and pointed his finger forward.
A stream of blue-colored, complex, and mysterious magic elements engulfed the bodies of the 300 warriors!
At that moment!
The magic formation seeped into their bodies and imprinted on firmly on the ground.
Meanwhile,
Moses waved his hand lightly, and six oak barrels of Dragon’s blood opened up, revealing the crimson blood. The blood gathered and flew into the sky like a blood Dragon.
When the commoners saw this sight.
They simply became dazed.
The Blood Dragon looked like someone had revived the Fire Dragon. It was tens of meters long, and its wings were twenty meters wide. The Blood Dragon possessed the same dominance as the Fire Dragon had and gave an oppressive feeling.
Moses took out the dragon crystal and threw it into the mouth of the Blood Dragon.
The crowd heard a deafening bellow.
The blood Dragon opened its golden pupils and lowered its head before charging at the 300 soldiers!
But just then,
The Dragon vanished into the air.
And the 300 soldiers were left drenched in blood…
Old Band looked at the scene and swallowed hard. He turned his body and teleported to a new region. Then he reported what he saw to Annie. William had recruited an enchanter…
