A few hundred kilometers away, a teleportation portal appeared, and two figures walked out.
The mage was heavily panting and warily looking at the back. Only after he became sure that nobody had followed them, did he heave a sigh of relief.
Old Band rolled his eyes and asked William, “The nations don’t have such powerful warriors. They must be warriors of the empires. If I’m not mistaken, this must be the archipelago continent.”
“Yes,” William answered like an obedient child.
“What have you done?”
William shook his head and looked blankly at Old Band. He explained. “I didn’t do anything.”
“Your Royal Highness, let’s be frank. If you antagonize the empires, even if we flee to the Legendary continent, they will not stop pursuing us.” Old Band earnestly said. He wanted William to be aware of this fact.
The fact that William controlled the two Human nations from behind the scenes was a secret to everybody. But Old Band was one of the few people who knew about it!
Still, Old Band did not expect William to be a top-notch trouble-maker!
He thought that William did not cause any trouble previously because he did not have the capability. Since William was now an Advanced professional, he was getting complacent…
“No, I didn’t antagonize both empires.” William knew he was lying, so his tone was weak.
The sea area around the archipelago continent had become a war zone. It was a disaster…
“Let me take a look at your ring…” Old Band was not convinced.
“No way!”
“D*mn!”
“Are you scolding me…”
Old Band was in a daze. Even though he had given it to William, he had a way to look inside the ring. What he saw almost blinded him…
Old Band immediately entered several teleportation portals with William. They traveled thousands of kilometers before they stopped in mid-air. Then Old Band asked William, “Are you sure you didn’t pilfer the treasuries of the empires?”
“I didn’t… I merely passed by some nations and picked up some things along the way.” William was feeling uneasy. He was the Lord of the City of Dawn. Why was Old Band suspecting him?
William examined Old Band’s information panel that was full of question marks. He was disappointed that Old Band did not have any loyalty.
William was a neutral Lord. It was important for him to be powerful…
“Pfff, if only Momo was around. If he was, he would’ve taught you a lesson. You’re only a Space Enchanter. Don’t you know that Momo is an all-rounded Enchanter?” William muttered to himself softly. He was defiant.
Old Band glanced at William and felt helpless. They could not possibly return the things that William had pilfered. The Elves did not have such a tradition!
But the rational Old Band sighed and said, “Prince William, I’ll promise you that if Princess Annie doesn’t leave the City of Dawn, I’ll also definitely not leave the City of Dawn.
“You have to understand that if the princess is in trouble and Legendary warriors came for us, and I’m unable to fend them off, the Moonlight Elves will be able to help her.
“But if you get in trouble, besides the mysterious Moses and myself, who is able to help you?”
William was mum. He pondered for a few seconds before he said, “What if my father is a sage?”
Old Band was quiet. He contemplated and replied after two seconds. “Only a living sage can help you.”
“Forget it. I won’t bother again. But you have to be careful in the future. I don’t know how you managed to pilfer the treasuries and the military warehouses. You have to understand that it is a crime.
“If everyone acted like you, won’t the small nations be bullied by the stronger empires?
“You have to remember that in this era, Human empires make the laws. Human empires are the strongest support for Humans.
“If you break the laws, the Human empires will punish you. And nobody will be willing to help you!”
After Old Band finished explaining, he felt like crying.
The previous era was the Elven era, but he had not experienced it.
He encountered some old folks in his clan, and they described history to him. Hence, old Band was fond of historical times.
So, he learned…
The Elves were extremely powerful in the second era…
The Gods’ continent was controlled by the Elves…
The Great Dragons yielded…
While the Dwarfs were allies…
Even if the Seraphkin’s sky city was far up the sky, their altitude would never exceed the limit of the World Tree.
When the Humans were at their peak, they had only constructed two empires in a desolate region…
That era was the age of the Elves.
It lasted until the invasion of Darkness…
It was a bloody war that lasted thousands of years and crippled the Elves.
It was the first time William saw Old Band like this. He patted Old Band’s shoulder and optimistically smiled as he said, “Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. If the dimension vortex had not exploded, we might not have been pursued by those warriors!”
Old Band frowned. “Are you blaming me?”
William did not bother with old Band anymore. He said, “So follow my pace. I’ll make the City of Dawn the most powerful city!”
“Remember, it will be the most powerful!”
William emphasized the word powerful, and his voice spread far and loud.
Numerous huge sea beasts leaped from the ocean as if they were in agreement with William.
William turned to look at the befuddled Old Band. As William was about to speak…
“Slap!”
William rubbed his head and scolded inside his heart, “I’m unable to defeat you. Once I’m able to do it, I’ll beat you to death!”
“Thinking of revenge? Wait till you catch up with me!” Old Band knew what William was thinking
After all, Old Band was a Space Enchanter.
Even a great enchanter was unable to pursue Old Band. How could a tiny Advanced professional do that?
“Let’s go. Don’t waste any more time. If we don’t return, someone will create trouble in our land!” Old Band grabbed William and hopped into a teleportation portal.
It was not a few hundred kilometers.
They traveled for thousands of kilometers!
It had to be emphasized.
The capability of a Space Enchanter was incredibly strong!
That was the reason why Space Enchanters were very hard to find.
It could be said that whoever had Space Mages or Warlocks would have a strategic advantage.
It could be seen how important Princess Annie was to her father!
On Stormy Island, Lord William had disappeared for more than a month.
Fortunately, a Space Archmage was with him, so his subordinates were not very worried.
Did Old Band not fear that trouble would erupt in William’s territory?
This was absolutely impossible.
Old Band knew that William was reckless, but he was not aware of William’s powerful charisma. All of William’s subordinates were extremely loyal. As long as William was alive, they would not betray him.
The population in Stormy Town had reached tens of thousands of people.
Five legions were permanently stationed here, but they were not here to protect the town. They were here to train.
Besides the Breaking Wave legion, the other four legions would take turns to swap duties!
In the City of Dawn, there were 500,000 citizens, excluding the chosen ones. There were five major regions that had lots of Humans. Elves, Half-Elves, and Dwarfs.
There were only 12 regular legions that had 36,000 soldiers.
The 6 reserve legions had 18,000 soldiers.
The City of Dawn was able to conscript a lot of soldiers because of the abundance of resources and rations. It was now plausible to follow William’s plan to create elite legions!
The effect was outstanding.
Half of the regular legions had become Intermediate professionals.
Even those who were not Intermediate professionals, they were close to leveling up.
The 6 reserve legions had Beginner-level professionals. The purpose of the legions was to train instead of fighting wars. Once their levels were upgraded, they would be stationed at Stormy Island for intense training!
Besides the regular army, the Dawn Mercenary Team had the most number of members.
There were 110,000 chosen ones and more than 8,000 NPCs.
They flocked to the grass plain and the orichalcum mine area to fight. They had more battle experiences than the regular army.
But their battles were not as brutal as in a regular war.
They were mercenaries after all. When they were unable to win a fight, they would flee…
When they were sure they were winning, then they would charge and hack at the enemies wildly.
Of course, that was happening when the captain was absent, and the deputy captain could not be bothered.
However, when William was on the battlefield, very few mercenaries would dare to flee.
William had instilled discipline in the mercenaries in one and a half years!
“Oh my god, do you know? The City of Dawn has a cavalry!” A player shouted in excitement in Stormy Town.
“Yes, I already knew about it. Fatty broadcasted it live!”
“It’s a huge leap. We don’t have normal cavalry. Instead, we have magical beasts as warhorses. I wonder whose idea it is.”
Changli Jiuge laughed when he heard the words. He said, “Who else besides Prince William? Dawn Vessel was built by him, and he was the captain when they sailed for Stormy Island. Only Prince William will know what kind of magical beasts exist on this mysterious island.”
“How did Prince William know that the island has rich resources?”
“I don’t know. That is something beyond us.” Changli Jiuge shook his head. He was organizing his members to hunt for magical beasts.
It had to be emphasized.
The Advanced BOSSES Burned Cinder and Lautner were generous. They allocated a few regions for the chosen ones to hunt for magical beasts. The players only had to pay a small amount of money to keep the loot.
The first hundred players who arrived here were unfortunate, but they fared better when things normalized.
These hundred players managed to earn some profit with their hard work!
The hide and flesh of the magical beasts were very valuable!
The players knew that the NPCs needed to eat the flesh of the magical beasts to train. If they harvested the magical beasts’ flesh, they would be able to earn quite a good profit!
The players managed to upgrade their equipment to half silver and half Gold-quality. They were very close to level 40, and soon they could change occupations!
Under William’s arrangement, the experience level of the players of the City of Dawn was about two to three levels higher than the other players!
William understood that the players had to gain higher levels in order to be effective against the Darkness invasion!
