Chapter 262 - Nobody Would Save You Even If You Screamed Until Your Voice Was Hoarse

Chapter 262 Nobody Would Save You Even If You Screamed Until Your Voice Was Hoarse

Once the hidden Legendary BOSSES joined the battle, they easily cut through the fighting crowd and proceeded towards the cave.

Within just three seconds, the few Trolls who were guarding the cave entrance succumbed to the BOSSES’ attacks.

These Legendary NPCs were collaborating with each other.

William was sharp. He noticed Adolf fighting in the crowd and quickly said, “Alec, hide yourself, while everyone else enters the cave, and then bury yourselves at the cave entrance. I think that this is an ambush.”

Violent Dragon and his companions entered the cave and buried themselves in haste.

The blowing of the horn was heard.

The quaking of the ground became more intense. Deafening roars were heard from all directions.

The professionals who were at the boundary of the battle fearfully shouted, “Dark creatures, lots of dark creatures. We’re being ambushed!”

The mercenaries and Troll hunters did not care about the Blood Fruits anymore. Their goal had changed to escaping before the dark creatures formed a siege.

But before they could, a group of darkness soldiers appeared and charged towards them. They were riding on skeleton warhorses that were engulfed by dark flames.

“Oh my God, they are Hades Skeleton War Horses. We are being sieged.”

What were the Hades Skeleton War Horses?

They were creatures who could ignore gravity. Wherever these warhorses went, they would leave trails of black flames. The flames were highly contagious.

These darkness soldiers were the real Dark Knights. They were the elite cavalry of the Dark World.

The fleeing professionals were stopped by the darkness soldiers whose steeds galloped on the trees.

It was as fascinating as pigs flying up a tree.

Some Advanced professionals attempted to fly up the sky, but they had been stopped by these strange flying horses.

Nobody expected the dark creatures to form a siege.

Many of the professionals decided to retreat and inform their comrades to stop fighting. It was more crucial to deal with the dark creatures.

But the combatants were in a battle rage. They did not care about the sheer number of dark creatures.

The Legendary NPCs were very selfish. They were genius professionals of different factions. Even though the other low-level professionals could not flee, they could easily escape.

They were going to find an opportunity to steal the Blood Fruits and kill their way out.

They were Legendary professionals, after all…

Many Legendary NPCs had experience fighting in battles that were above their current levels. Hence, they were confident and ignored the Grandmaster Troll while charging into the cave.

But then, Adolf, who was supposedly fighting for the Blood Fruit, changed his tack. He unsheathed a dark flaming sword and stabbed the butthole of a genius professional!

Twenty bounty hunters dashed out and started beating the Legendary NPCs!

Nobody expected that the Trolls inside the caves were subordinates of the dark creatures. Crazy Groome let out a fierce bellow, and most of the Trolls charged out. The professionals were attacked from both sides.

“D*mn, are the bounty hunters tired of living? Have they become the dogs of the dark creatures?”

“Don’t let us escape. Otherwise, you won’t have a peaceful day from now on,” shouted a genius professional who had a serious butthole injury.

He felt he was losing his bowels…

The players realized they had been ambushed. According to logic, the dark creatures were ambushing the NPCs, and it had nothing to do with the players. They were here for just the Blood Fruits. But unfortunately, all of them might perish here.

“Gosh, the battle is too intense. We can’t fight our way out. We may have to die once and revive at another revival point. This is a great loss!”

“Hold steady. Let the NPCs fend off the dark creatures. Let’s see if we can find Prince William. If we can find him, we’ll follow him closely. If not, we’ll be dead…” The players knew that they would be treated as cannon fodders by Prince William.

But there was no choice.

The players could revive.

The players hoped that once they revived in the City of Dawn, Prince William could give them generous rewards to cover for the loss of equipment.

William was observing the situation from Alec’s perspective. He inhaled a gust of cold air. The Lord of the Dark City was smart. It was an ambush to kill the genius professionals. That was a prelude to the Darkness Invasion!

William recognized a Legendary NPC whose butthole had been injured by Adolf. He was the son of a Marquis in the ‘Red Fire Kingdom’ and was very powerful.

In William’s previous life, this Legendary NPC was not supposed to die this early, but now, he would most likely be killed here.

This indicated that there was a butterfly effect.

William had caused Adolf to escape and take refuge here. The current ambush was the repercussion of the butterfly effect.

William did not know how this ambush would end!

“The Blood Fruits are about to ripen in two to three minutes. But the Troll leader had not gone out. If I break through the ground, the Troll leader will be alarmed. Wells, be prepared.” William started digging once he finished speaking.

The ground underneath the Troll leader started to crumble.

The Troll leader cautiously backed up. He frowned and muttered to himself, “What’s that? Ankhegs from the Dark World? Yucks, it’s disgusting…”

“Stop the digging.” Once William heard the words, he immediately broke out from the ground and thrust his sword at the Troll leader.

Swish. A long narrow thunder sword energy shot towards the head of the Troll leader.

Bang!

The cautious Troll leader parried with his mace. The dispersed lightning arcs did not inflict any damage on him.

Wells had readied his shield and sword as he charged out. A powerful force crashed into Crazy Groome’s belly and made the Troll leader retreat by five steps. His belly had a small cut made by Wells.

“Shorty, you’re tired of living.” Groome discovered the wound on his belly. Even though the bleeding was not much, he was infuriated and started cursing in an unintelligible language.

Within a few seconds, the skin surface of the Troll leader became dark. He pounded his chest using his mace, not causing any harm. Instead, sounds of metal clanking were heard.

Burned Cinder and Diablo managed to fend off the other Trolls.

Wells and Violent Dragon looked at each other. If the Troll leader was a meat shield, what were they?

Meatballs?

William did not care about anything else except the ripening Blood Fruits.

The Troll leader roared and started beating up Wells and Violent Dragon.

In the meantime, William plucked all the nine Blood Fruits.

Then he used his Thunder God’s left hand to dig out the entire tree complete with the roots.

He glanced at his subordinates, who had been beaten until blue-black bruises were showing. And then, he said, “Let’s go. Don’t stay here any longer.”

William leaped into the tunnel without turning back.

The Troll leader could not stand it. The Blood Fruit tree had been given to them by the Lord of the Dark City as a bait. Now that the tree was stolen, he would be severely punished even if he survived the battle.

He bashed through the defensive postures of both Wells and Violent Dragon before leaping into the tunnel.

At this instance, Wells and his companions made use of all their skills to collapse the cave entrance.

After that, they also leaped into the tunnel.

Crazy Groome looked at the collapsed cave entrance and then at Wells and his companions who were surrounding him. He swallowed hard. He roared wildly as he swung the mace at them to prevent them from advancing.

They smiled and nonchalantly advanced towards Groome. Even if Groome shouted until he became hoarse, nobody would be saving him…

What could a Grandmaster-level Troll do?

After all, four Legendary and one Epic warriors surrounded him.
