Chapter 330 - Face-Beating or Hacking?

Chapter 330 Face-Beating or Hacking?

William planned to go to Dark Night City alone.

But Lautner caught up with William. He was worried that William would get into trouble in Dark Night City.

Autumn had arrived.

The rain had become sparse in the Blackleaf Forest.

The merchant’s path to Blue Moon Town was very sturdy and spacious. The duo had to ride the Thunder Warhorses to Blue Moon Town. Then, they had to walk on a long, winding mountainous road before heading towards the Dark Night City.

It could not be helped.

The City of Dawn was a neutral faction under the protection of the Blackleaf Elves. But ironically, it was not connected to the Dark Night City via a Teleportation Portal.

The foliage above their heads was very dense. When golden light shone through the leaves, the road appeared to be scattered with golden orbs.

Lautner slowly followed behind on his horse. He was very pleased with William.

It had nothing to do with William having grown to be healthy and safe, nor it anything to do with the fact that William had become outstanding and developed the City of Dawn to become powerful.

The reason he was pleased was because William had risked his life to obtain the Fruits of Life in Fantasy Continent. After returning to the City of Dawn, he had hurried to Dark Night City so that he could personally hand the fruits to his mother.

“William is a mature adult who is starting to take care of his mother.” Lautner sighed deeply.

Because whether it came to the Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, or the animals, when a mother conceived a new life, she would have to give a lot of care to the newborn.

The newborn would have to depend on the mother for all his needs…

They progressed from babies, who were waiting to be fed, to children, youths, and even adults. Most parents would still take care of their adult children.

How many people would give the best things they owned to their parents, when they had barely reached adulthood?

Lautner gradually understood this truth when he was in his thirties. (Elves became adults at a later age!)

William was only a 19-year-old kid currently.

Lautner did not expect William to mature so many years ahead of him.

“Once we arrive at Dark Night City, if something happens, it’s best to…”

William waved his hand without turning the head. “I’ll not kill anyone. I’ll restrain from beating up people.”

Lautner almost choked on William’s words, as the latter was right. He was an Elven prince. As long as he did not commit murder, then no one could touch him.

“Are you ready?” Lautner asked.

William glanced at his message panel. “What can I do if I’m not ready? Many people dislike me.”

He had finally attained the critical Level 100.

The mission for his upgrade was thankfully not very difficult.

The mission did not ask him to kill a Grandmaster professional. Instead, he was supposed to survive for 10 minutes in the duel with a Grandmaster professional who hated him.

William could not restrain his smile. “It’s only for 10 minutes. It’s too simple considering my current capability.”

It would be a duel between Advanced and Grandmaster professionals.

William had only learned how to levitate, while the Grandmaster professional had the Jedi warrior title.

The gap between the two of them was huge.

For most professionals, it was impossible to challenge a professional having a level higher than their own.

Of course…

William had some chances against opponents such as the Grandmaster mermen. However, such an opponent was very rare and could only be found in large mermen tribes. It was impossible to seek them under normal circumstances.

The duo chatted with each other while they rode on the fast Thunder Warhorses. They soon arrived at the new Blue Moon Town.

They did not meet any acquaintances. After a short break, William began his life’s first journey into the Blackleaf Forest.

The deeper they ventured into the forest, the greater were the challenges they encountered.

There were many kinds of trees and flowers in the outer periphery of the forest. After entering the Blackleaf forest, 80 percent of the trees they came across were Blackiron Trees.

The entire body of this tree was dark. Although the young leaves were green, when they fully matured, they would become as dark as ink.

“The seedlings of the Blackiron Tree are Blue materials. The highest quality is Legendary, and all the Blackiron wood belongs to the Blackleaf Elves!” William grinned. The Blackleaf Elves were wealthy!

The Blackleaf Elves, they did not have this name originally.

Their predecessors were called the ‘Dawn Elves’, which represented the light of dawn, the newborn sun, and the light of hope.

But after the Humans dominated the large continent, the Dawn Elves changed their names in shame. They lost the large continent to the Humans. They had to remain in hiding in the Blackleaf Forest.

To the Blackleaf royal family, the Blackleaf name was not auspicious.

Instead, it was a shameful past!

Hence, the Blackleaf royal family had started using the Blackleaf name. It indicated the Elven King’s resolve and courage to venture out of the Blackleaf forest at a later time.

Although the Blackleaf Elves continued to thrive and grow, they were not involved in a lot of wars. So, they lost their aggressiveness. They had become peace-loving like the Moonlight Elves…

Well, only the Snow Elves were more aggressive in the Legendary continent.

Some royal members of the Blackleaf Elves were still immersed in the glory of their ancestors.

These young princes and princesses had noble blood flowing in their bodies.

They possessed an innate endowment for becoming Legendary and Epic professionals.

They did not have to worry about equipment, money, food, or even anything related to materials.

They only focused on instruments that were more elegant and more fitting for themselves.

They would imbibe the most precious magical spring water every day to warm their throats in a bid to sing better.

They were well versed in musical instruments, chess, calligraphy, and painting.

Even their battle energy and magic skills were the most outstanding. However, they lacked combat experience and killing intent.

They were the most elegant, noble, and almost perfect models as praised by the wandering bards in the Human empire…

That was right.

They were the perfect Elves in the eyes of the Humans.

These royal bloodlines could not tolerate William, who was the child of a Human and an Elf.

The royal and elderly Elves did not care about William’s bloodline, because they were wiser.

But many of the princes and princesses who were of comparable age to William, were full of contempt for him.

Many royal Elves even believed that he should not exist in this world at all. William should have been killed at the beginning so that the bloodline of the Blackleaf royal clan would not have been contaminated.

It was a complicated situation for William and might even be an embarrassment for him.

This was also the main reason why Lautner had asked to accompany William. He had been worried that the powerful William would kill a royal prince in a fit of anger…

That would be disastrous.

In this clan infighting, William could only depend on himself.

He was doing more than just sending the Fruits of Life to his mother

William had to re-establish his reputation and uphold the name of his mother, who had suffered complaints, scorn, and humiliation.

He contemplated a lot.

Along the way, William was pondering on how to solve these troubles.

Could he make use of his charm?

According to reason, it was possible.

But if everything depended on his endowment, would the Left Hand of the Thunder God become a white elephant?

William wondered if he should put up with the Elves, even though they had not been wiser.

It was simpler to resolve everything with brute force!

If the princes and princesses of his generation dared to insult him, William would give them a good beating!

That was William’s solution.

For the next seven to eight days’ journey, both of them never spoke a word.

They were immersed in their thinking.

And along the way, they also met many Elves

The majority of the Blackleaf Elves had a good impression of William!

As the City of Dawn had not done anything to disgrace the Blackleaf Elves.

Many Blackleaf Elves were ecstatic when William had accomplished many glorious feats!

During the Magic Conference, William had activated the Thunder Realm that was exclusive to Epic professionals, and he had defeated the Viscount of Darkness.

He was suspected to be the reincarnation of Thunder God, and it became a hot topic of discussion among the local Elves.

When they were about to reach Dark Night City, they encountered a team of blood-stained Elven cavalry. There were more than 100 Elves. The leader was a Grandmaster Elf, while the rest were Advanced Elves.

The cavalry sized up William and Lautner, but they decided to leave them alone.

But Lautner could not resist whipping the horse to catch up. He stopped the dejected Grandmaster Elf. “Legion commander, how did you become the captain of the cavalry?”

The other Elven riders did not stop Lautner. Instead, they formed small teams and orderly dispersed to the sides to patrol the area.

The bewildered Grandmaster Elf lifted his head and said in surprise, “Lautner, I’m not a legion commander. I’m only a deputy…”

Lautner did not care about this. He took the commander by the arm and asked, “Faramir, the deputy commander is also the commander of the legion. Aren’t you the personal guard of her Highness, Princess Alice. Why did you take off your previous armor? Have you reneged your original oath?”.

“I didn’t!” Faramir coldly replied, tightly clenching his fists.

He was about to ignore Lautner when he saw William on a warhorse…

Faramir’s eyes suddenly became extremely gentle, and he shouted with a trembling voice, “Are… are you, Prince William?”

“Yes.” William nodded calmly. He did not ask Faramir why he had become a cavalry captain instead of being his mother’s guard.

But even though William did not ask, Faramir had to explain himself.

After the explanation, William’s expressionless gaze became extremely cold.

“Prince William, we are useless and can’t protect Princess Alice, but you must not be impulsive.” Faramir quickly dismounted after seeing William’s grave expression. He almost knelt in front of William.

William quickly stopped Faramir from kneeling. “Don’t worry! I won’t go too far in the Dark Night City!”

“That’s good, that’s good… If other princes and princesses say something unpleasant, please ignore them.” Faramir heaved a sigh of relief, thinking that William’s ruffled feathers had been soothed.

But Lautner rolled his eyes.

MD!

Faramir did not understand the temperament of the powerful Prince William.

When William said he would not go too far, he meant that he was going to teach those Elves who insulted his mother a good lesson.

William suddenly asked, “Are there any Epic professionals in my generation?”

Faramir did not know what was going on, so he bitterly smiled and said, “It’s not easy to become an Epic professional. Even the most talented princes and princesses could only attain the Grandmaster level.”

“Okay, Faramir, go and complete your assigned task!” William patted his shoulder and remained silent.

Faramir gave William a deep gaze, before riding into Dark Night City to complete his task.

He had to race against time to find his disbanded brothers to protect Prince William.

William narrowed his eyes.

It was not just a matter of beating up the offenders.

It was choosing between using the Sword of Hegni or the Left Hand of the Thunder God!
