Chapter 20

TL-Mechatronic

A necessity for all knights.

Why are they called Knights?

Because of horses.

That is what a knight needs to be a knight.

The direction and method of cultivating knight’s mounts were completely different from those who use combat military horses and ceremonies.

If you’re a seedling driver, you should have at least those two, but both of them were very expensive.

It was a price that could not be paid unless it were an aristocratic nobleman.

However, the Dark Knights didn’t often move on horseback, so she forgot that fact.

Unicorns live in the Violet forest.

The horseshoe of this black horse with horns on its head was so hard that it did not need a horseshoe and it shone like obsidians. The muscles of the whole body were like steel, so it could run lightly like a deer, and it was strong like a leopard.

Moreover, from the neck to the back, scales sprouted rather than mane hair, so it made the creature sparkle with steel light.

‘The heroine finds it in droves.’

Huge herds of unicorns running like goats on rough terrain deep in the Violet forest.

The number found in the forest alone is between 3 and 40, so you can even build a squad of mounted knights.

“Uh-hum, good.’

She should find them before she recruits more knights.

‘Aren’t they growing wheat?’

There were various useful plants in her garden, and one of them was wheat. In the Violet forest, there was no land nor time for farming, so it was raised only for seed storage.

The wheat found in the Violet Forest was a little shorter than normal wheat, but the yield was much higher than that of ordinary wheat.

Even if the farmland was small, it would have been possible to rotate the wheat found in the Violet forest and normal wheat.

“So why is the diet like this?’

A diet mainly made of potatoes.

She can’t let her Young Master only eat potatoes!

Nina knew he had a very sensitive sense of palate. As things were, Adrian was only putting up with the situation and eating with patience.

“There could be more than what the heroine originally found. Let’s look for more things.

She was going to squeeze as much as she can from whatever she could find from the Violet Forest.

“Now that I think about it, there is a mine.’

She has to make a lot of money. What shall they do next with this money?

“We also need people.

In her head, the names of people who are now unknown underdogs but who will be famous in the future passed by.

‘Let’s do our best.’

At first glance, neither the Royal family nor the Temple seemed to be on the Duke’s side.

If so, they had to have enough strength to stand up without relying on them.

‘The bastards.

Nina grinned while grinding her teeth.

For her, this situation wasn’t so bad.

‘In fact, I didn’t know the relationship with the Temple would get worse. Originally, we were quite close.’

In the original, the priests were sacrificed many times trying to make a barrier in the crack.

The Duke of Luverne was friendly to the temple, because he consoled Priest Ryon.

Isn’t that’s the reason why, in the end, he took command and caused some Chaos.

Considering the fact that the final boss is hiding in the temple, it’s better to have a bad relationship now.

“About the imperial family ****, Well, the Imperial Family is the Imperial Family, once the Duke’s power gets stronger, they’ll get closer by themselves.

Nina thought so, thinking of Louis, Jean, and Kirill in turn. It was lucky that she was able to save them from the Knights extinction scenario.

Nina closed her eyes after a small yawn. I’m going to organize my thoughts and leave in a little while. Is what she thought so, but as soon as she closed her eyes, Nina fell asleep.

When she woke up, she was already in her master’s bed. Though the seat next to it was empty.

Nina came down from the bed and came back to her bedroom because she felt awkward about oversleeping.

After having potato pancakes and potato soup for breakfast, Nina looked around the castle.

She had never been here before, even when she was first appointed in the Order of the Dark Knights.

The thick black stoned castle resembled a defensive fort.

From the gate to the drawbridge, to the moat. Less than twenty attendants were walking around.

“In addition, they are all maids and servants. Is he not picking an aide?”

While thinking that Louis holding a pen looked like a picture, Nina asked. Louis answered with his eyes off the paper.

“It’s because no one passes the Lord’s approval.”

“I see…..”

Nina said with a sigh.

“It doesn’t need to be someone who sticks to him all the time. But apart from that, we will need more

people.”

“I think so, too. It’s been about two years since we made some cleaning with the staff. It’s time to fill in with new people.”

At Louis’ words, Nina’s golden eyes opened wide.

“Vice-commander. Ah, no, Sir Louis, is there a candidate that you thought of?”

She’s still having a hard time calling him the title of “Vice-Commander”. That’s why she changed her mind and called him Lord Louis.

Louis didn’t point out Nina’s way of calling his title but continued the conversation smoothly.

“There is.”

“Please tell me who it is, Sir Louis.”

Nina pulled the stool and sat down, Louis smiled and put down the pen.

“The Imperial Academy is thriving and expanding. Not only people from the empire but also people from other kingdoms could be admitted to the academy.”

“Ah, I also heard it. They were said to have 14 towers, 22 bridges, and a river of wisdom, right?”

Louis nodded at Nina’s words.

“It’s called The City of Towers, or The City of Waterways. The problem is the letter of recommendation.”

“What’s wrong with the recommendation?”

“In the Empire, it is impossible for a person to work without a letter of recommendation. However, there are some categories that the Academy does need recommendations for. They are people with no title or nobles and foreigners with weak families.”

“Then what about those people?”

“It is almost impossible to get a job from anywhere. Or they’ll get something illegal or a job for a very low salary.”

“Is Sir Louis aiming for those people?”

“That’s right. If the peasants say that we received someone without a letter of recommendation, it may be a matter of prestige of the Duke, but…..”

“Our Young Master doesn’t care about that.”

“The only problem is how to trust a person’s skills without a letter of recommendation.”

“Does Sir Louis have a candidate?”

“Yes, but.”

Louis stopped talking and looked at Nina. She noticed Louis’s intention and she laughed.

“I will talk with the Young Master and check him out for you.”

“Thank you.”

Louis picked up the pen and added.

“Now that Nina is back, I feel like everything will be back to normal.”

Nina laughed at his words and said, “I’m everyone’s Nina after all.”

He laughed out loud while thinking that it’s been a long time since he laughed without a care in the world.

Heading to the kitchen, she clicked her tongue at the working chef and took over the oven.

The chef looked at her with interest, as she made a potato omelet.

Nina, who transferred the hot omelet to a plate, and prepared cold tea with the power of the spirits, headed to Adrian

Adrian barely had breakfast, so this omelet was his brunch.

He laughed when she put down the tray in front of him, who was working in the study.

It’s been a long time since she cooked. Normally, she doesn’t care if the food is cold or bland, but it’s different for her Young Master.

She’s sure he already ate, but Adrian grabbed his fork and knife and started trying the food.

The still-hot omelet was simply delicious.

Potatoes, onions, eggs, olive oil.

The combination of simple ingredients is crude but honest. Adrian asked as he emptied the plate and sipped the cold tea slowly.

“So?”

“I talked to Sir Louis……”

Adrian nodded before Nina’s words were over.

“It’s okay to do whatever Nina wants to do.”

“Do you know what I was going to talk about?”

“I told you I believe in you.”

Adrian added after examining Nina’s expression

“You said you talked to Louis. It should be the aide and adding new staffs. Whether you call people to talk

or do anything else with them, you can do whatever you want.”

“You already knew, but why didn’t you do anything about it?”

“Because I don’t need it.”

It was purely to protect Jean and Louis, that the internal strife was quickly and coldly subdued.

Because, someday, if he meets Nina again, she would wonder how they were doing.

If Adrian had been alone, he would have killed everyone at that conference hall.

‘A family like that was useless.’

He looked at Nina in front of him and thought so. It was hard to imagine if she did not appear in his life again, with her long silvery hair in pigtails.

Nina shook her head.

“I knew it. But I want to feed my Young Master delicious food and dress you up in fine clothes. So now I have to work hard.”

Adrian nodded when he saw her with both hands on her waist.

I agree.

“So you can do anything to your heart’s contents.”
