Chapter 25

TL-Mechatronic

Nina handed the medicinal herbs Kirill asked for, and asked about the plants she picked as well.

It was difficult to ask for a regular gardener, and the only person who she could ask was Kirill, who had experience in growing herbs of the Violet forest.

Kirill looked into the collecting bags saying, “Oh, dear.”

“Where did you pick up something like this?”

“I picked it up here and there.”

Nina raised her little finger, saying, “I’m counting on

you.”

In the other world, it was considered a sign of ‘promise.’ but here, this gesture means ‘please.’ It is said that if a young child uses it, it means asking politely.

I had a hard time using this because I was confused.’

Nina shook her head inwardly thinking about her childhood.

Kirill asked with sparkling eyes.

“I heard you brought in a herd of unicorns.”

“Yes. It happens.”

“How does something like this just happen? Is there any weak or injured one? You don’t need those, so let me have them.”

When asked by Kirill whether she could have some to experiment with, Nina said with a serious face. “Kirill, don’t go near the unicorns. I’m afraid you’ll feed them something weird.”

“I have that much level of discernment.”

“I hope so.”

When Nina answered in a doubtful voice, Kirill grinned.

“Don’t worry, I’m not touching them. You brought what I asked for, If I had left it to Jean, he would have picked the wrong ones.”

“Ah, Jean doesn’t have a sharp eye. Even though he is the second son of a merchant family.”

“I think so too. If he somehow stayed in the family business, with such bad sight for things, it would spell doom for the family.”

While Kirill shook her head, she asked Nina.

“Is your body okay?”

“Yes, there is nothing particularly strange.”

Kirill grinned and put the pipe down as she tried to light it.

“When you die, I want to dissect your body.”

“I also want you to do it, too.”

“Then I don’t think the Duke will let my neck stick to my body.”

“Too bad, it would be possible if I could live with them separated,” Kirill said with a look of regret on her face

As soon as Kirill became bored she waved to Nina to get out.

It was in the evening when I had a meal with Jean, the vice-commander, and talked about replenishing the Dark Knights. Jean said with a tired face, “I should go to bed early today.” Nina replied, “See you at dawn tomorrow,” and foretold the beginning of the training.

“Yes.”

Jean, who answered with a face full of will, left the room. Nina, who was left alone, carefully reviewed what the two talked about.

“Even though I was given full authority…….’

I should still report the rough stuff, right? I should also ask Lord Louis more about the exchange meeting. Now that I have become the Commander of the Dark Knights, why don’t I try to increase the reputation of the Order?

“Well. Come to think of it, wasn’t there one more Knight Order in the Duchy?’

The Dark Knights are only active in the Violet Forest (?), so there must be other knights who went to the exchange meeting

‘What happened to them?’

It hasn’t been long since I came back, but I haven’t seen them.

‘Don’t tell me it was disbanded.’

I think that it could be possible if we consider the nature of the Young Master.

“He brandishes his claws gently, but if someone or something annoys him, he straight out cuts off necks.’

Then we might have to hire more people than we thought.

Nina got up from her seat

I’ll go get the award I didn’t get during the day.

As she walked proudly into Adrian’s bedroom, she found him sitting on the sofa and looking at a note,

“Young Master?”

“Come in.”

“Can I run from here and hug you?”

“What?”

Adrian looked up and turned to her, and Nina kicked the floor. Adrian’s body fell into a long chair when she flew at him without stepping on the floor. The fall left little impact thanks to her suddenly grabbing him and falling down like that.

Laughing and pressing his shoulders tightly, Nina looked down at him.

“Because the sofa looks fluffy.”

Adrian replied, “It is soft,” to Nina.

His hand was wrapped around her waist to keep her from falling, but he stopped trying to get up since she squeezed him with her strength.

Adrian, lying back trying to get up, stared up at her. He often found Nina crossing the line. Whenever she did, Adrian only looked at her with a look of indifference, he didn’t get angry or annoyed.

He is a friendly but delicate person. Even the average person will get angry if she does this. Of course, people who knew her are used to her antics.

So, Nina often felt an impulse to go further.

Hey, Adrian. How much longer can you hold it? Until where can you tolerate it?

“Adrian.”

Nina laughed.

“I really like this.”

Adrian opened his eyes wide and laughed.

“I like it too.”

Nina smiled and gracefully rolled down from the sofa to the floor.

While Adrian was lifting himself up and organizing his collar, she quickly put her arm on his lap and put her head on it.

“I talked to Jean, and we decided to quickly replenish the number of people. If possible, I want to pick them up this month.”

“Again.”

Adrian said this posture was not good, but his hand began to stroke her head. Nina went on, enjoying it with ease.

“But isn’t there another knight’s order? What happened?”

“They were attached to the Duchess.”

“I see. No wonder.”

Nina looked up at him and asked.

“So should we increase the Dark Knights? Or are you going to make a new Order of Knights?”

“Whatever you want. As long as the troubles don’t linger around me.”

Only Adrian could say with a soft voice that the escorts and servants were “annoying”.

“T’ll be careful.”

Nina said so, and raised her upper body, rubbed her head and cheek in his hand, and pulled out.

“I’ll discuss the budget with Sir Louis.”

“Yes.”

Nina glanced at the note still in his hand.

“What is that?”

“Information sent by spies.”

“Oh, do we have spies?”

“Because the Guards Knights disappeared, we had a budget left.”

No, I don’t think there’s any budget left. You bought Kirill some herbs and even built her a greenhouse. Infighting messed up your finances, and you’re in debt to other provinces!

“It’s uncomfortable without eyes and ears.”

“Our Young Master is really a piece of work.’

Others would think that they could just reach out to their subjects and make them groan because of taxes. But this man eats potatoes and squeezes his budget to have enough for the spies.

‘Normally no aristocrat goes to such lengths…..

Who would have imagined that the Duke of Luverne would have created an intelligence network in the Empire over the past two years?

“Is that good news?”

“There’s no good news or bad news. News is just news.”

He folded the note, adding that it was just a matter of how to use it.

Nina nodded and asked.

“The crops we grew. We have to sell it through the merchant guild. Why don’t we set up one for ourselves?”

“To sell it directly?”

“Yes. I can set up an agent, so I think it would be better to distribute it directly.”

I’m sure we’ll be selling exclusive items.

“Do you have a candidate in mind?”

“Well, not yet.”

“Let’s think about it.”

It was a provisional permit. Nina rose from her seat with a satisfactory smile.

“Then I’ll be on my way. I’m going to roll Jean around from early tomorrow……. No, I mean, I’m going to train with him.”

Nina’s voice seemed excited for some reason.

After Nina left the room, Adrian shook his head at Nina’s empty seat, she was like a whole storm. The fact that she comes when she wants to and then leaves when she wants to, resembles a cat.

He opened the note again.

[A-class Bellac appeared in the capital.]

Adrian’s mouth stiffened.
