Do not possess anything precious.
Do not have anything special.
Do not leave any traces that can be identified.
It was an item that broke all his three thumb rules, but Jack liked the dagger very much. He also cherished the engraved initials on the handle.
Jack somehow laughed at Nina who was looking away with her golden eyes.
As if she knows what he’s thinking inside.
Now, he belongs somewhere.
Now, there is someone who remembers him.
Now, there is someone that says he’s special.
All these three were things that he shouldn’t have, but what humans also need the most.
“Then please call for me when it’s time to depart. For the time being, I will proudly remain as a guest in the manor.”
“Okay.”
Jack greeted Adrian and proudly walked out the door. Nina looked at his back and looked back at Adrian.
“Are you mad?”
At the sound of her inquiring voice, while tilting her head, Adrian unfolded his arms and approached Nina slowly. As he stood in front of her, Nina had to lift her head back as much as possible.
“Why do you think so?”
“Because I’m going to a dangerous place.”
“Do you think the Blue Stone Island idiots can touch even a single of your fingers?”
Adrian reached out his hand and pulled a cluster of her hair. Nina’s right pigtail untangled and fell off as it loosened. Even those common tie marks that usually appear didn’t surface.
“I think so too. But it will be a pain in the neck if we get caught.”
“Still, you’re going even with all those facts.”
He loosened the other side of her hair and swept it away with his hands. Nina closed her eyes and enjoyed his touch like a cat.
“Adrian.”
He did not answer. Nina squinted and smiled.
“Let’s go swimming.”

It was a full moon.
The bright moonlight was shining even more radiantly on the Silver Lake. In the moonlight, Adrian could clearly see the water droplets falling along her skin.
Nina laughed as she squeezed her wet shirt and her hair.
“The water is cool.”
“Yes.”
Nina looked at him and said.
“Let’s see who gets to the dock over there first.”
What Nina pointed to was the boat dock at the edge of the lake. The distance from the Lake Garden – or sometimes people also call Glass Lake – which is directly connected to the castle up to the edge of the dock is considerable.
“Good.”
However, it was not the case for both. Nina said to Adrian, who readily agreed.
“The winner gets a wish.”
“Anything?”
“Anything.”
Nina answered happily, laughed, and jumped into the water. Adrian then went into the water. The two still didn’t begin the race.
“Really, anything?”
“Oh, my God. Adrian.”
Nina laughed as she put her face close to his. Her golden eyes danced like the shadow of the moon reflected on the lake.
“I already gave my life for you, I don’t think there’s anything more to give?”
Adrian said, “Who knows,” and smiled.
He picked up a pebble on the edge of the lake.
“When it falls, it’s game on.”
“Yes, Yes.”
Adrian flicked the pebble up, and soon a small plop rang out in the still lake.
The two set off almost at the same time. The sound of swimming through the waters filled the lake at night. Adrian, who had been swimming for a long time, stopped.
It was quiet.
He was the only one swimming. He glanced at the dock, which was the destination, but Nina didn’t seem to have arrived first.
“Nina?”
An anxious voice came out without him noticing it.
He knows that Nina won’t drown in this lake, but he couldn’t help feeling uneasy.
“Nina!”
He raised his voice once more and someone jerked his ankle.
“!!”
Adrian knew who it was as he was dragged into the water. He squinted and saw Nina as she let go of his ankle. She approached him and pulled his hand down, guiding him below.
What are you going to do?
Adrian followed her a little further in wonder. When Nina laughed, bubbles came up. She pointed to the surface of the water and Adrian followed her finger, opening his eyes wide right the next second.
The moonlight reflected on the surface of the water was fluttering like chiffon curtains. The dim light in the bluish lake water was extremely beautiful.
After looking at it for a moment, Adrian turned his eyes at her.
There was a moon in her eyes too.
Inside the water, only silence remained. But in his ear, there was his heart ringing. Adrian listened to the pulsating sound of blood in his body.
He grabbed her arm and Nina was surprised that his hands were hot even though he was underwater. He pulled her close and the two bumped into each other. The body temperature felt beyond the cold water was too hot.
Or was her body temperature too cold because of the water?
Somehow embarrassed, Nina swallowed a breath, and that was her mistake.
Blublleumg.
Adrian was surprised to see Nina wheezing as she breathed in an instant and pulled her up to the surface, she started to take deep breaths and cough.
“Kek, kuh, cough, cough-.”
Because of her aching throat, a few tears even came out.
“Are you okay?”
When Adrian swept her back, she nodded and said.
“Water, Cough, I drank it, uh-.”
Nina washed her face a few times with water, sighed, and put her arm around his neck. His wet skin was firm and hot, it felt good.
Even though they have the same skin, Adrian’s skin is clearly warmer. Even if you scratch it, it is unlikely that marks will be left behind.
‘I feel like biting him, but it’ll be rude. Let’s hold it in.’
The smooth skin felt firm when pressed, indicating that his body was completely ripped. With her cheeks on his broad shoulders, Nina relaxed.
“I guess I’m cold.”
“Cold?”
“Because Adrian felt hot.”
Adrian was silent for a moment and then answered slowly.
“If I’m hot, and you’re feeling cold, you’re going to catch a cold, aren’t you?”
“Will the person who signed the contract with Winter catch a cold?”
“You still might.”
Nina stuttered and touched his back.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing, Adrian’s back, and shoulders are wide.”
“Not as much as Jean.”
“Do you want to be like Jean?”
“That’s.”
Every man, at least once, does······. Adrian murmured and Nina laughed.
“But I like Adrian just as you are.”
Even if Adrian just stood side by side with her now, she would be completely obscured from other people’s eyes.
“That’s such an honor.”
Nina released her arm from his neck with a playful smile. She looked at his pink eyes for a moment and soon grinned.
The moment he saw that smile, Adrian’s eyes shook, but he couldn’t resist Nina pushing his shoulders hard into the water.
He was afraid of hitting her just in case.
Using the rebound of Adrian into the water, Nina began to swim quickly toward the dock. After a while, there was a voice behind her, “Nina La Dell!” but Nina replied only with a laugh.
Adrian swept his wet hair with both hands and squinted.
He picked up speed as he began swimming again. He quickly caught up with her, and Nina with a surprised “uh-oh,” the next moment, her arm was grabbed and she was pulled back.
Adrian put his hand on the dock.
“I won.”
“No way! That’s cheating!”
“Nina, you pulled me down, too.”
“That’s, still-!”
Nina gave a pout. Adrian laughed aloud, and she sighed helplessly.
“Yes, yes, so what’s your wish? If you tried to win like this, are you going to make me do something weird?”
“Nina.”
Adrian smiled. He looked at the full moon while tilting his head for a moment and soon looked at Nina again.
“To you.” (Adrian)
Adrian swallowed his breath briefly and said again.
“If you have someone more special than me, or if you think you will have one, please tell me.”(Adrian)
