Led by the Leader of the Moonlight Tribe, Ning Fu, they violently make their way to the cave. Since it was said by Ning Fu that the only female Giant Evergreen Ape was here, no one questioned it as he was trusted by his people.
However, they are unaware of the prowess of that monster, even its size. They just know that it was the cause of the threat they are experiencing.
The men number up to fifty with minimal injury fiercely fought with the Evergreen Monkeys. They use Morning Club, a weapon with an enormous size club, carried by three and assisted by changing shifts to use it since it's heavy.
Hitting the chest of the monkey to lessen the slipperiness, they depend on the impact their weapon can make.
Up to five groups every line, they change positions once the line in front exhausts. However, these men are despising one of the members of this assault. It was Ellena, who they deem to see is useless.
Ellena wasn't doing anything since the beginning. However, little did they know, Ellena was studying the surrounding. Even marking an escape route in case they can't defeat their target.
'We don't know what kind of monster is that. Perhaps it's at least A-rank monster.' She talked with Aaron through her mind.
"Yeah. That geezer didn't even bother to study the target. Just nonchalantly try to eradicate it. That's fishy for someone who survives in the wilderness." Aaron commented, making Ellena question him a little.
'Aren't you being too paranoid? It's just a leader thinking of his people.' Ellena said.
However, Aaron was unconvinced of it. Even what attitude that leader will do, he will still doubt it and suspect it since everything seems too stupid for him.
Stupid might be a heavy word, however, it resembles it. No one would ever ask for someone to help them if they can even do it themselves They say it was annual, what's the difference now? More so, no one would ask a stranger, shameless enough, and be misleading.
Even Aaron barely contains his thoughts. He just tried to stay calm. Since he wants to think straightly, making a mistake is unacceptable.
"I hope I am wrong. But the danger I can feel isn't wrong. There are threats here obviously, and it targets you. Perhaps it was an A-rank monster." Aaron commented.
'So... what should I do? Do you think I can defeat A-rank monster myself?'
"That's impossible. You still lack power. Furthermore, you can't coordinate with these types of people. They hate you." Aaron released his troubles from the scene.
'I can tell it. Perhaps they are not fond of strangers?'
"That's not the case. There's something in it."
'What do you mean?'
Aaron noticed that those gazes aren't normal. More into glare, and throwing daggers through their eyes. He can feel the hatred from them, but together with it, he ponders why he felt it that way.
There's no way that he can see their aura right? Can it be another improvement from the effect of level up? It might be, however, even the vague information that has been added to his brain wasn't enough to conclude it.
"I think they're hating you because you can't help. Why don't you show them with some of your moves?" Aaron suggested.
'Is it okay? I mean, I leave them right after this so showing some of my abilities is nonrelevant to my future.'
"Yes. But, don't show too much, focus more on your CC abilities than the magic one."
'I see, I understand.'
Hours later, from their journey through the cave. Men are starting to hint at some fatigue. They are endlessly fighting monsters, even reaching a count of 100. And seems that the cave is unending.
They cussed, swore at the monsters. Even Ellena can't escape their stress.
However, since Ellena noticed it, she reaches out to one of the men.
"Are you tired? I can help you with that monster." She pointed out the monster.
The man she just asked showed some disbelief in his eyes. He inspected Ellena's demeanor, and wonder why she was asking to help just this time.
'There's no way she can help me. She's useless!' He exclaims in his mind, showing some visible vein on his forehead.
"Scram! Useless outside!" He sneered as he lifted the Morning Club once again.
However, moments later, his arms appeared to surrender. He thought inside himself, 'This can't be. We haven't even reached that monster.'
Ellena noticing it, unsheathed her sword, making a metallic whistle in the air. It took some of the men's attention, wondering why is the useless girl they call was pulling out her sword.
Seconds later, Ellena disappeared in her position, appearing next to a monkey with her sword gleaming in blue and faint red.
Crisp! Slash!
Sounds of the sword hitting the leg of the monster emerged. With the help of the lighting, she penetrated through the slippery fur by burning it, evaporating some of the liquid in it.
Everyone's eyes widen. Surprised by that abrupt reinforcement of a girl.
'How can this happen? She's just useless earlier?!' The man screamed inwardly.
Everyone also lost their minds from the scene Ellena made. It was an awing moment, as this lady slew a monkey that is resistant to physical attacks using a sword.
'It can't be? She was just watching us from the beginning to tire us out!'
'How could this be? No way she was that strong in the beginning!'
'Holy crap! That's cool!'
Continuing with their mesmerizing, Aaron flew next to the leader, to inspect it's the situation.
Ning Fu was also wearing the same vest, however, his weapon is different from theirs. It was spiky, enough to resist the slippery texture of the furs.
Aaron was impressed by that idea, but he eventually remembered his cause from approaching Ning Fu.
'What's this geezer doing?' He wondered as he saw a strange expression emerging from his face.
'That's hella creepy gaze.' As he located the direction where Ning Fu was looking at.
He followed the direction and was surprised by what he saw.
Gleaming red eyes of a monster emerged from the darkness, only reflected by a small amount of light from luminant stone.
Aaron started to be anxious, as he presumed the size of that monster. He measures it, surprised that it even heights up to 15 meters.
'What the hell is this monster!' He cursed inwardly as he rushedly went back to Ellena's side.
"Ellena, prepare to be blessed. This monster isn't simple as we think! It's 15 meters tall!"
"What?!" Ellena can't resist to blurted out as she hears Aaron's words.
The Giant Evergreen Ape lives up to its name.
