Chapter 137 - Binding Light

Just after Ellena launched a lightning strike toward the commander, everyone was baffled. The men that were supposed to kill them cried in agony. They cringed at all of the sufferings their comrades experienced.

Their eyes started to twist 180. As they started to be confident in their mission, now they are scared like children who have lost their mothers in the park.

Ellena can finally understand some of the human emotions. Even though it was vague, she at least knew how things worked.

Aaron just shook his head. It was absurd. As crazy as it sounds, Aaron thought that Ellena was starting to overwhelm the continent's power standards. 40 plus people versus 4 females? What are the chances?

Rosellete defeated 5 men. Selena did 3 while Thalia only had one. However, they won't succeed in such a feat if not for Ellena's weakening ability.

"Master…" Rosellete's voice resounded.

"Ellena…" Selena mumbled.

"Big Sister." Thalia cried.

Aaron rolled his eyes, seeing the cringey sight. The three girls were cheering for Ellena. Even though it was supposed to be sweet, he felt his stomach turning upside down.

'Are they shooting a drama?' he thought. 'Ah! Forget about it! Can't I even be thoughtful that they were just rooting for Ellena?'

Sooner, the commander growled and pounced towards Ellena. But before an attack could connect, Ellena made a swift move, performing one of the forms of the technique.

Ellena thrust her sword with her feet, moving backward. There were small steps, but plenty of fast movements.

The commander landed without touching Ellena's hair. And just as Ellena saw the men's eyes starting to become hopeless, she changed her hair back to black.

The black hair brushed Ellena's shoulder. Even with her hair slightly blown by the air, her picture was spread towards the men's eyes. As they saw it, everyone was frozen except the three girls, and the berserker remained unaffected.

"Her hair…"

"Yes. Big Sister is a cursed child. But she has plenty of abilities that contradict the idea." Thalia said.

Selena was left speechless. The fight started to calm down and their enemies started to space out. Even before that, their enemies' attention was all over Ellena.

Points started to emerge. Growing from 5 to 10, it quickly rose to 50 and then hundreds.

Aaron's eyes flickered with excitement. He just saw another jackpot, even greater than before. Even though the men were left with just 15 people, a tremendous number of points still emerged.

And despite activating her title, all of her attention was all over the commander. Evading, and detouring the attacks so that they wouldn't hit her, the commander could just growl in irritation.

Ellena flipped backward and launched another fire attack loaded with lightning inside.

Bang!

The commander took a halt, and a burnt spot could be seen on his chest. And just a few seconds later, it healed and they fought again.

2 minutes later, everyone started moving again. And just after that, Ellena asked Aaron about the total of points they gathered.

"We got 120 points!"

It's at least 10 points per person!

Ellena felt excited even though she was moving continuously.

"What do you suggest to exchange for this fight?" she asked.

"I suggest… What about thinking of it for yourself?" Aaron said. He felt that this situation wouldn't get out of their hands since the commander was starting to weaken.

"I think… binding ability? How about it?"

"That's smart! How about the strongest ability you can have at your current skills?"

"I'm okay with it too. Tell me what is it?"

"Binding Light. 60 points. It binds any physical and close-combat rune owners." Aaron explained. "And use 10% of your current stamina."

"Get it for me. That ability is just ridiculously beneficial for me."

Aaron chuckled then proceeded with the plan. He opened the book and installed the ability to Ellena.

And just after feeling the ability added to her body, she immediately used it when the commander attacked again like a beast.

Brim!

A bright circle entangled the commander, making him struggle to break it. But despite his efforts, all he could do was squirm and his arms were limited as well as his legs.

The three girls were never used to being surprised. Ellena showcased another ability that is different from the rest she showcased. And if Ellena has even close-combat ability, they would drop their jaw from being excessively surprised.

One after another, Ellena launched different attacks, hitting the commander viciously. He could just squirm, quiver in agony, and depend on the healing ability of his berserker ability.

A minute after another, Ellena tired out the commander until he gave in and deactivated his ability with his consciousness out.

Ellena sighed. "This is good… It is amazing that my stamina has depleted so much."

Aaron took a glance at Ellena after hearing it. He forgot to watch over her stamina as he was absorbed with collecting some excess points.

"Oh… You were amazed by it? I commend you. You're such a maniac despite depleting all your stamina." Aaron sarcastically said, with his eyes glaring at Ellena.

Ellena just smiled jokingly. She even made a peace sign to lighten the heavy mood.

"Sorry… But you can't deny it! It was a great fight! I tested all of the forms of the technique and all of them swiftly killed my targets. Do you think I can defeat Verxal now?"

"Ah… You're still thinking about that? Can't you see that there are still remnants you have to manage?" Aaron scolded and looked at the other men who regained their consciousness.

"I nearly forgot about that. Don't worry, I will catch them!"

And just after Ellena declared it, everyone ran away from her. They even saw their commander caught and, seeing it, left them in despair as if they had just targeted the wrong creature.

'Yeah! Don't ever come back again! And if you do, be sure to bring all of the cowards so that points will not stop appearing!' Aaron made a smug face as he rested on Ellena's shoulder.

The three girls rushed to her with a smile and worry on their faces. Both expressions were in conflict with each other, but they could just feel the messy expression. Filled with joy and worry, they all approach Ellena.

"Big Sister."

"Ellena."

"Master."

All of them called her out. Ellena just looked at them with a profound look.

"Did you see that? That's what I mentioned that you'll see what I am.." Then she smiled sweetly, with a hint of a snicker in her voice.
