Chapter 160 - Bandit Hunting!

On the 6th day after the match with Verxal, things are starting to go back to normal. Or should I say, becoming a new normal?

Ellena was getting used to being called or decided to get used to it. She's rather hateful towards those name-callings.

It's not a bad thing though... I just can't comprehend why she hates that. It's cool and amazing that others' hard work gets noticed by other people.

Well, this one is to be recognized but not actually to be in the good picture. Since the Fear System basically focuses on getting fear points from people's fear of Ellena.

This day, Ellena and others planned to go bandit hunting..

We went to an information broker, but heck, the price was too expensive. So, we decided to leave the information behind and have me gather it on my own.

It's not like we needed any significant or particular information. We just need to know the location, number, power, and ratio.

However, I can't assess them all. I can only get the location and the number of people inside their hideouts if ever we got lucky to find one.

Well, if we can't find a hideout, then we'll go there by ourselves, and it's called baiting.

When I say baiting, they will use their own as baits and get attacked by bandits intentionally. In that case, we got a chance to apprehend them and extract information.

But hell yeah, we can't go there by their words alone. We still have to make a plan on how to infiltrate and escape if things get worse.

It's not that bad though. What can we expect from bandits?

We won't underestimate them, but still, we will estimate accurately as possible.

Being practical sometimes doesn't hurt. It's not like we are going to fight head-on. This time, we'll need a plan.

I stretched my limbs as we left the premises of Phlabian City.

All over their faces, a sign of excitement was painted. They seem to be anticipating this event.

Though it's not like an official quest from the guild, things will be easier after capturing them.

I just hope that there will be a record of the bandit group we'll be capturing in the authorities' criminal records.

"Let's go!!!" Rosellete excitedly marched.

Ellena snickered as she saw Rosellete acting like a kid for a short time. When Rosellete realized it, she went back into a poised expression.

"I apologize, Master," she said with a small bow after it.

"For what?" Ellena snickered again in between her words.

"Well... I was acting like a kid despite my age of being the oldest among us."

Ellena chuckled again and the rest followed her. Rosellete was struck and frozen, looking at them in a confused face.

"W-What?"

"You are the oldest, but you have the youngest personality among us," Ellena said, and eventually, Selena followed her words.

"Yup. What Ellena said was true."

Thalia, who was silent, just nodded without moving her lips. And as Selena saw how she acted, she could only shake her head in disbelief.

"I can't help it. I like fighting and looking for a stronger opponent! Yesterday, we fought with bandits!" she retorted, seemingly reluctant with her words.

"How are you excited?" Ellena asked as she was also excited about fighting. Well, I can just guess that she at least wanted to fight, but not the desire to look for stronger foes

"Well... it's also because this will be my first quest with you, Master."

"But we aren't on a quest though."

"I know. But this will be our first fight together and I am just honored, Master."

Ellena sighed as the pressure and affection of Rosellete rendered her breathless for a brief moment.

I can understand her. Rosellete had kind of a jolly personality and also acted immaturely.

I also noticed it when she asked Ellena to become her master and how she persuaded Ellena to let her call her her master.

Well, I have nothing against it. I also see it as funny too. And also... beautiful, since this is not a normal scene to see, especially for someone like me, who in my past life just stayed in one position for the whole time, with a pile of books at my side.

This is new to me but appears to be what I long for.

"So... what's the plan?" Thalia cut in between Rosellete's excitement.

Rosellete just rolled her eyes in a joking manner and crossed her arms intentionally.

"This kid is really a serious person," she remarked, pointing out Thalia's personality.

"What about it?" Thalia asked, unaffected by what Rosellete said.

"Well, aren't you a kid? Why don't you act like one for a short time?"

"I can't."

"Why?"

As the conversation got more intriguing, Ellena and Selena started to anticipate Thalia's next words.

Though Ellena knew slightly, she didn't consider her thoughts as the real reason why Thalia's personality was like this.

But for me, I think that Thalia was kind of acting like she knew what she was supposed to do after getting betrayed by her family. The reason for having the type of her rune was a prominent reason for her life being dragged like this. I can just guess why her personality is like this.

"I don't know. But can we go to the plan? We are at least walking for an hour straight but still have no goal, " she said.

"What an impatient kid." Selena joked and Thalia was just silent after that.

Ellena moved in between them and started to reveal the plan. Though it was already distributed earlier, it is still better to smoothen the plan as it was only rough earlier.

"We'll wear normal clothes, and we shouldn't have any weapons on our waist. With this, we can trick bandits to attack us. But the only problem was where the bandits would be located, " she said.

"How about we go to the location where we were attacked? Maybe in that place, we can find a group of bandits. We have Aaron, right? Can we ask for assistance, Aaron?" Rosellete looked at a random location as she was saying it.

Ellena looked at me and I nodded to her.

"He's okay with it. Then, let's go?"

"Let's go," they said in unison as they also wore their black masks to cover their faces. Their gears also turned black, more similar to Ellena's, ignoring the initial plan.
