3 days later, D-day.
In the city whose name hasn't been known by Ellena and Aaron, a number of people in soldier's gear march towards the street. They were soldiers coming from the nearby city, and as it was known that this city was run by thugs, they couldn't handle the imprudence of the local government.
The squad was led by a certain captain, and as they confidently marched down the street, they were halted by a group led by the landlord himself. And just behind him was Walter, who was smiling viciously.
"What business do we owe you?" the landlord asked, looking at the eyes of the captain of the squad.
The captain just faced his men and then signaled, moving his hands forward.
"Catch him."
And as the captain said it, the landlord widened his eyes in surprise.. The soldiers moved hastily and immediately put a shackle and choker on the landlord.
Before he could even react, he became powerless in the hands of the soldiers. And as Walter looked at the scene, there was nothing but a baffled expression on his face.
"W-What are you doing to me?!"
"Don't touch him!"
Walter tried to stop them, but as the soldiers were already done with shackling the landlord, they just pushed Walter, making him lose his balance and touch the ground.
The landlord was enraged. Nothing but a particular rage. He tried to resist and shouted at them. However, the soldiers were fixed on capturing them.
"Why are you capturing me?!" the landlord exclaimed, his veins appearing on his forehead.
The captain looked at him with disdain, despite the fact that they were capturing a noble.
"Don't try to talk with us. Your crime is at the limit. Where's the confidence you had when you ran this city in chaos and tyranny?" the captain said. However, it was just vague enough that the landlord himself couldn't understand.
As the citizens who were in the street watching them became shocked, they could only feel happier as time went on. They were just doing their own business, but when they saw this inevitable joyful scene, they cheered for the soldiers.
Their reason? They'd enough. The unjust ruling of the landlord was so unacceptable that they could only feel alive for a short time.
Just as the landlord witnessed how his people were cheering for the soldiers, he looked at everyone with exasperation.
"You dare... YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH FAMILY WE ARE?! WE ARE A VASSAL FAMILY OF MARQUIS PHOBIOUS!"
But, just as he was about to continue threatening, the captain cut him off.
"You don't talk in that manner when you are in front of us. You are a vassal? Cut the bullshit. The vassal was your father. We've had enough of your traps. Drag him."
"No! I will kill you! No!"
Walter just watched the scene, and even though at the beginning he was surprised and enraged, a smile slowly curled on his lips.
"Does this mean that the city will be mine?" he mumbled.
"No, you don't. I will take over the city."
Walter's eyes widened and slowly faced at the man who spoke just behind him. As he was still sitting on the ground, he could only look above at the man he loathed.
An uncharismatic young man was standing behind Walter. Perhaps the reason that he didn't become a rightful heir was because of his demeanor. However, his mind was sharp enough to be called a leader.
That was the reason why Aaron picked him. The only brother and also the rightful successor of the family name.
Standing still, the next in line to the governorship of the city was the firstborn son of the previous landlord.
"You... What are you doing here?! You are supposed to be insane! How could you-!"
He was cut when he noticed the appearance of the man. He was wearing proper formal garments, as well as his face was fixed.
'It was wrong to keep him alive. I had already killed the elders, but how could I make a mistake because of my stupidity. I only want him to live in despair...'
The man just looked at Walter with his eyes wide, loathing him. He wasn't insane, nor near stupid. He was just laying low until someone approached him with the pretext of fixing the city.

'The nearby city cares less about the affairs of a neighboring city. However, it would be different if someone reported it, right? Greed... Controlling people with greed will be the way...'
3 days ago... The night that Aaron ordered Cules to eat the thugs, just after them killing everyone, someone appeared.
'A spy?'
He wasn't wearing any particular suspicious garments. But just his aura was enough to be called a spy.
How? Because he saw everything from the start. When everyone was finally dead, he had this delighted aura covering him.
Ah... that was just the reason, but it gave Aaron an idea.
As he knew that it was someone who was delighted in seeing the thugs dead, he followed the man just in case.
Of course, the man was surprised when Cules suddenly disappeared and even thought of it as a divine punishment.
'It was a Divine Punishment!'
Of course, Aaron was unaware of this as his only goal was to follow the man. And as his efforts bore fruit, he became more excited about the future.
The man went out of the city and used his ability to make his movement fast. And Aaron was as fast as him. After 30 minutes, they arrived at a nearby city.
"My Lord! Finally! The thugs are dead because of Divine Punishment!"
The landlord of the nearby city was surprised and even confused at what his man said.
'I knew it. There was something with this man... Hahaha! A spy! My intuition is right!'
"There will be no stopping with this. We can finally bring that idiot who ruined our business with their city."
"Right... After the previous head died, the city's state became atrocious. We can finally continue the trade with their city if what you were saying was true."
'Why are they afraid of thugs? In particular, they aren't scared of them. I know that they could not just attack the city because of the thugs...'
As Aaron thought of a proper reason, he realized that the possibility that they couldn't move the thugs was because of the 'business' they were talking about. They aren't making business with the city, but with the people living there. So if they just kill the thugs, what will happen to the trust?
Right. The trust... But the citizens will be more delighted if they know this.
Well, not really in particular. The thugs also have families, and if the family learns that the neighboring city killed their family, the neighbor can't do business with them anymore.
For the reason that they killed someone that the local government should handle. And even if the other citizens will be happy because of eradicating the outlaws, the neighboring city will be more at a disadvantage because it was illegal to handle other citizens' affairs without the permission of the local government.
And what did Aaron think of this? It was after he heard what the neighboring city's landlord said.
"Finally... I can fulfill the promise that our family is indebted to the Fillian Family. That bastard dare to soil the Fillian Family? I will not let it happen now."
And thus, Aaron continued to make an investigation, but now it was in a neighboring city.
