“So many men in black? Are they filming a movie?” Ye Shu saw ten men in black walking over from afar.

She continued looking at the group of people curiously, wanting to see what the person behind them looked like.

The man in black quickly attracted the attention of many other people. There were also many onlookers surrounding them.

“Is a big star here?”

“I don’t know! From the looks of it, she’s either rich or noble!”

“I heard she’s from a wealthy family!”

Ye Shu listened to the group of people chatting and looked in through the gaps.

A graceful figure appeared and disappeared under the cover of the man in black.

Ye Shu strained to get a better look but she was still unable to see that person’s face clearly.

The group gradually walked towards her.

Just then, her phone rang.

Ye Shu did not even look at the phone number. Her eyes were still fixed on the group of men in black. “Hello, who is this?”

“Ye Shu!” The other party’s voice sounded a little cold.

“Manager?” Ye Shu looked at his phone in surprise and asked, “May I know what’s the matter?”

“How dare you ask me!”

“It’s all because of you!”

“If not for you, I wouldn’t have ended up like this!”

“Ye Shu! I won’t let you off!”

“I… Manager, listen to me…” Ye Shu panicked and wanted to explain.

Her gaze swept towards the man in black from time to time, but she was stunned in the next instant.

The person the men in black were protecting was none other than her half-sister, Ye Lan!

After not seeing her for five years, Ye Lan had become even more charming and her figure seemed to have become even more outstanding!

Ye Shu stared blankly as the group of men in black escorted Ye Lan past. For a moment, she had forgotten that she was still on the phone.

Ye Shu’s sudden silence made the department manager even angrier.

“Ye Shu! You will pay for everything you’ve done!”

Ye Shu finally came back to her senses. She wanted to say something but the other party had already hung up.

Ye Shu frowned. She wanted to call him again but realized that he had already switched off his phone. She sighed and put the phone away.

Ye Lan was someone who could disrupt her life the moment she appeared!

Finally, Lu Fen’s plane landed.

Ye Shu woke Ye Xun up and the two of them rushed to the arrival gate and waited anxiously.

Ye Xun saw Lu Fen pushing her luggage out next to the nanny they hired overseas.

Ye Shu walked forward and took the luggage from Lu Fen. She greeted the nanny and walked towards the parking lot.

In order to fetch Lu Fen, Ye Shu had borrowed a car from Mu Xiao.

Although Ye Shu did not live a luxurious life overseas, she still hired a nanny on Lu Fen’s insistence. While Lu Fen was overseas alone, Ye Shu left the nanny to take care of her mother.

Before coming back, Lu Fen insisted on bringing the nanny back. She said that domestic nannies were not as good as those overseas. Ye Shu was helpless and could only agree to her mother’s request.

After all, with their current financial situation, she wasn’t sure if they could afford to keep the nanny!

That night, Ye Shu brought his mother to a restaurant she had booked for dinner.

“Your father used to bring me here often,” Lu Fen said as she looked around at the furnishings.

“After so many years, it’s still the same…”

Ye Shu looked at Ye Xun’s tired expression and passed the menu to Lu Fen. “Mom, order the dishes first!”

Lu Fen nodded and took the menu.

Ye Xun hadn’t eaten outside for a long time, so he ate happily and contentedly. Ye Shu smiled when he saw his son’s happy expression.

“Did you visit your father after you came back?” Lu Fen suddenly asked, causing Ye Shu’s smile to freeze.

She turned to Lu Fen and shook her head. “No.”

Lu Fen frowned, obviously dissatisfied with Ye Shu’s answer.

“Why don’t you go and see him? How sad your father must have been when he was in prison alone! Is this how you should behave as a daughter? Do you still have a heart!?”

Facing Lu Fen’s accusation, Ye Shu accepted it all.

She didn’t want to tell Lu Fen that she had wanted to visit her father in prison the day after she returned to China. However, she was not allowed to visit because they were not registered relatives.

She did not want to tell her mother that the Ye family had pulled strings to ensure that no lawyer was willing to process her request to visit her father!

Hers was simply an existence that was not recognized by the Ye Family!
