88 Chapter 88: Military Scouts V

When in a separate room I took a seat and in a calm voice I told him before he got a chance to sit.

"I already know the purpose of your visit."

The captain looked at me calmly not showing a hint of surprise.

"You're here to look for someone right? Someone from wall street?"

However the moment I said those words there was a slight reaction from his face.

After a moment of silence.

"I have no idea what you mean."

I smile at him.

"He must be really important for 500 military soldiers to be traveling here in a group to fetch him."

"..."

I looked at him cooly and then took a sip of tea.

By showing him I knew why he was here and the purpose of his visit I can more easily bait information out of him whilst also making him wonder where the information leaked from.

I look at him in silence with a smile on my face waiting for him to talk.

The man still has a confused look on his face.

"How..."

"How did I know?"

"Yes..."

"What if I told you that you told me just now?"

His eyes twitch and then he became quiet.

"Haha, I'm only joking. Why so serious."

The man had a look on his face that said as I'll believe you.

"In truth, I already knew about your arrival for 5 days prior."

"???"

"Yeah, I know you are confused, in truth even I am shocked by this situation. Who would believe that a Zombie Apocalypse would suddenly happen right?"

"You have a perception type ability which lets you see and sense that mana in your surroundings right?"

His eyes narrow.

"Don't be so surprised in fact I'm similar to you. Just unlike you, I don't sense mana. I can in fact sense the future."

"Look at this town. Walls as high as several meters high all the buildings in the surrounding mile radius from here cleared of Zombies and thousands of survivors. Would you believe this was all made possible in the short span of 5 days?"

While he was busy thinking.

"I predicted this Apocalypse from the start and prepared accordingly."

"You mean you foresaw us coming as well?"

"Of course, for the military is one of the strongest forces right now right? For you have plenty of Ammunition and Firearms. Wouldn't it be foolish of me to miss such a big group of people charging towards here?

"Then..."

I pointed at the window towards the Manhattan Bridge.

"Naturally I blocked off Manhattan Bridge."

"!!!"

"I'm not about to just let you military come barging into the middle of my territory with a group of 500 strong-armed men. I mean come on, I'm not that stupid."

I turn my face looking out the window.

It was at this moment the captain of the soldiers stealthily reached for his gun.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you."

Just before he touched his gun I told him in a calm matter.

I turn my head around.

In my hands was a well-maintained handgun. Seeming to be of the same type as the one the guy was keeping concealed within his pants.

I took the gun and placed it smoothly on the marble table.

"You know it isn't really polite reaching for your gun."

"What do you want. Seeing as you aren't killing me, I don't expect you to just want to chit chat with me."

I look at me and think to myself, this guy catches on real fast.

"I'm glad we're on the same page."

"..."

"What I want is cooperation."

"Cooperation?"

"Yes, your the military so naturally you should have some information which would prove useful to me."

"Information?"

"Correct, to be precise I want the location of the Nuclear Bombs hidden in America."

"!!!"

I look at his face and with a chuckle gave him an I'm just joking smirk.

"I'd like to buy some military-grade weapons. Preferably Firearms, grenades, and body armor."

"Buy?"

"Yes, I'd like to purchase it. For those items which I listed I'll help you guys find the guy your looking for as well as give you some information about this apocalypse."

"..."

"This information which I'll give you will include how to awaken. You probably know that you have awakened by now right, so I'll teach you about the status system, how to awaken as well as some crucial information about the Zombies."

The guys by now seemed to constantly hold onto his straight poker face but I could read right through him. The information above is the crucial info that the military needs right now. If they had this info in my previous life they would most likely not have disbanded.

The info which I was going to give them could easily help them create a solid foundation to stay in the game until the end.

The military is the strongest force in the state of New York at the start. However, in my previous life, they followed military orders and eventually dispersed.

If I was to build them a foundation then they who had more trained people would have easier time-saving people outside of the borough of Manhattan giving me more time to take over Manhattan.

As long as I have control over Manhattan Bridge they can't come into Manhattan for now which would require them to take a long detour to the other bridges to crossover or to wadge war on us which also requires to force there way through the bridge. However, I have an upper ground advantage which is the fact that I have control over the bridge currently so if they were to want to wadge war they'll lose more people then me.

Plus their target to save this time resides in Wall street and they most probably want to save him as soon as possible. Thus since they can't save him themself there only chance at saving him is calling upon us to do so, if they don't ask of us to help save him and instead wadge war I'll bomb out wall street. If they ask me to save the guy an make an alliance with me then the military will stay outside of Manhattan. Plus if I save him and hand him over I could trade the guy over for some things I want.
