It's been a whole week now since I got reincarnated.
Every day is just a repeated routine, if I'm lucky enough, the Duchess wouldn't be home to abuse me. Amy is always there to help me. I've also haven't seen the Duke yet. Although we all live in the same house, we rarely see each other. One reason is that the house is huge, but the main reason is that it's always been like this – they always ignored Aksia.
"A book about the Kingdom..." I whispered to myself while checking all the books I could.
I'm in our private library right now. I'm alone because I told Amy to rest for a while.
I stopped when I saw a book with an interesting title.
"Basics of Magic." I read out loud. To others, the title might seem plain, but to me who is obsessed with magic, it wasn't. For a while now, I've been holding my dėsɨrė to know about magic. In Aksia's memory, I discovered that the Duke and Duchess prohibited her to use any magic. However, it seems like Aksia has been secretly practicing it without the knowledge of anyone.
She has no teacher so she relied on books she could find in their private library.
She probably learned magic 'officially' when the Duke and Duchess allowed her to enter Royal Academy. Although they don't like it, they still allowed her because they want her to make some useful connections while in there, and also because the Crown Prince and her fiance, Deor, is also studying at Royal Academy.
Now that I think about it, Aksia probably spends most of her time reading books whenever she's not doing anything. She loves learning and having new knowledge. If I was already living in this world from the very start, I would also spend my time learning about this world with magic even if I had to spend an entire day in the library.
Now, I have all Aksia's knowledge and I'll make sure to use it.
After a while of looking, I decided to read some books about the Kingdom of Lansera, the neighboring Kingdoms, the nobles, the adventurers guild, and such.
In the Lansera Kingdom, it was said that there are adventurers guild. To become an adventurer, it doesn't matter whether you're a noble or not, the most important thing is your skill. It was said that there is a total of 5 ranks. S, A, B, C, and D with S being the highest and D as the lowest. Age also doesn't matter, as long as you pass the requirement, you can become an adventurer.
If anything goes wrong, I guess I could just run away. I can register as an adventurer and live a peaceful life. I can also buy some potions to change my hair and eye color. I think there's also a magic spell I can learn to change my appearance.
I could also try to ignore and not bother the heroine and the 4 capture targets but... what if they accused me even though I didn't do anything? There's also that possibility. Besides, even though I did say that I'll ignore them, that's probably impossible.
And what if the heroine is actually a scheming fox?
At this point, the best option is to really run away and maybe fake my death.
But... I really don't want to just run away. The original Aksia also wouldn't want that. I'll run away once I'm finally left with no option other than that. But for now, I'll find some alternative solutions.
Well, I've seen some protagonist try to seduce the capture targets, maybe I should try that? But If I would try that, who will be my target? This would also be a risky move since I might not succeed in 'seducing'. In the first place, I haven't tried seducing anyone before.
The Crown Prince is out of the options, I wouldn't like to become known as the Crown Prince fiance, that might attract a lot of troubles. The Second Prince is also excluded for the same reason. That leaves me with the Knight and the 1st placer of the Academy.
But the 1st placer might be hard to win over. Percival Roques, the 1st placer, is a tsundere. In the game, he keeps saying that he and Anastasia are rivals but deep down, he loves her to death. The playboy Second Prince, Anakin Lansera might even be a better option than him.
On the other hand, Franco Louis is a naive and rather dumb guy. His physical appearance might give you an idea that he's a cool and cold knight, but it's actually the opposite. In the game, he's a friend of the Crown Prince, Deor, which really amazed me because unlike Franco, Deor is always calm, serious, and cold.
There was never an ending where Aksia wasn't executed. In every route, she became a villainess who got executed after doing evil deeds and harming Anastasia. The 4 capture targets would always work together in the end to expose her wrongdoings.
I stopped.
"Accused of harming the heroine?"
There is also that option, isn't it?
It's risky but worth a try. I don't need to seduce anyone, I can just become the heroine's friend. In that way, there's less chance of anyone accusing me. And once I succeeded in earning Anastasia's trust, she will defend me.
This will do for now.
If anything goes wrong, I'll just use another plan or if it comes down to worst and I'm left with no other more options, I'll run away.
