Chapter 270 - I Am Iron Man

"Finally," Compass Carburettor sighed in relief, deciding on his abilities, selecting the Warrior Path first as a yellowish-white barrier formed around his body.

It was an extension of his physique radially, forming a thin layer over himself. Thinking of something, Compass Carburettor stretched his hand, watching the layer of light extend instantly and slam into the wall.

Its size was only a tad larger than his hand, its initial size when it layered over it. He then thought as the hand expanded in size.

It was hard to control it, as he lacked experience. But, it was still a great feeling, being able to freely wield the power that he had attained. He could finally put his Darlac to proper use.

After he shrunk his energy hand, the layer of energy on him expanded in size, turning into a three-metre-tall figure of himself. As Compass Carburettor expended more Darlac, the energy figure of himself further expanded in size.

Ratio-wise, it was an accurate depiction of himself.

This was his Warrior Path ability—Body Layer!

His Darlac would form a layer of energy blade over him, allowing him to expand and contract it as he pleased. It was versatile in that it allowed him to perform a variety of activities and was useful in all situations.

Moreover, it also served as a layer of shield for him, making him less prone to harm.

He then retracted the Body Layer, snapping his finger as a Spydragon manifested beside him. It already possessed all the abilities he needed. And since he had been using it from the start, he was used to controlling it, noticing that he had no issues with using it.

The Spydragon calmly flew around him when he willed it, watching it expand in size until reaching a length of three metres. From its flying mode, it switched to its serpentine mode, slithering on the ground.

Returning to the flying mode, its wings flapped as its figure took off into the air, lacking no effort. After all, it was a body of energy, having zero mass. So, flying for it was no issue.

This was his puppeteer ability—Spydragon!

The reason he had retracted Body Layer to condense his Spydragon was that he wasn't yet capable of multitasking them, still needing practice. Controlling the Spydragon wasn't a problem as he had enough experience with it.

But for Body Layer, he had just created it, definitely needing some practise before he would be able to use it in battle while also controlling a Spydragon.

"And now," He muttered, activating the ability that was a result of fusing both the Warrior and Puppeteer Paths, causing the traits of both to combine.

A suit of armour made of the energy blade covered him from head to toe, not even presenting any gaps. At first glance, it seemed no different to his Body Layer.

But, not only was it tougher but also mobile, as if each part was an individual unit. Compass Carburettor extended his hand before his face, noticing the parts on the armour flap and close shut, behaving like scales.

Each scale was similar in structure to the Spydragon's wings, but miniature in size. "Now, spin!"

As he proclaimed, the cluster of scale-like wings on the back of his hand combined to form a rotating fan, unleashing a powerful gust of wind. Compass Carburettor then switched it to the front of his hand, facing it to the ground, watching dust being blown away by the thrust.

He then condensed a similar fan in the other hand, slowly increasing the rotational speed of both, observing the thrust they generated continuing to increase steadily.

Soon his body began to tremble, hovering in and out of the stage where the generated lift slightly surpassed his weight before falling mildly below his weight.

Computational date wise, the average of it seemed as if the lift and weight were the same. But, the generated lift was oscillating by that point.

After taking in a deep breath, Compass Carburettor increased the speed of the fans, watching his figure slowly hover in the air, causing him to laugh as he began to cover the fans, turning them more and more into a turbofan.

Even though he couldn't inject any fuel to combust in the combustion chamber, he had other alternatives, using Darlac to rapidly raise the air temperature by creating a construct within that rapidly spiked the kinetic energy.

Though, this also consumed a lot of Darlac.

But, the moment he condensed one, Compass Carburettor faced the exhaust behind him, noticing his figure blasting off forward with rapid speed.

He retracted it and hurriedly opened his wings, using the drag that produced to slow him down. Thankfully, he had attempted it in a long enough tunnel, hence avoiding the fate of being turned into a flat cake.

He then leaned on the sidewall, extending his hand when a fan formed at the back of his hand, adjusting itself before turning into a rotating saw.

Krrrng!

The moment he placed it on the wall, a grating sound resounded as the rotating saw began to cut into the rock, "That's pretty powerful."

Thinking as such, he increased its radius, causing the grating sounds to intensify further while dust spilt out like a torrent, beginning to fill up the tunnel.

Fearing a dust explosion, he stopped, condensing a regular fan as he blew the dust away slowly.

"That's…your ability?" Grisha exited a nearby cave that she had been hiding at, protecting herself from the powerful gust of wind he generated.

"Indeed, pretty amazing right?" Compass Carburettor laughed, "In my combined form, my strength increases by leaps and bounds. But, its prime use is something else."

"What's that?" Grisha asked in surprise, "I thought you made it while keeping killing power in mind."

"Though it can do that as its primary function, that wasn't my intended use." He smiled, causing countless fans to form throughout his armour, creating a pathway for wind circulation as he slowly floated to the air, "It was to escape at supersonic speeds, like a jet. That way, irrespective of my enemy's power, I can escape from their range easily."

"And, my projectile abilities come in handy to use alongside." Compass Carburettor laughed, sporting an expression of arrogance, displaying child-like joy, proclaiming in all seriousness.

"I am Iron Man!"
