Chapter 282 - Release The Slayer

Name:I Hate Systems Author:
[Beast Form (Level 9): Night Ranger is dead]

[Power Punch (Level 4): When the heck did this happen? Shika was still fine while fighting my Host. And, she became even stronger than that after the fight]

[Fractional Disguise (Level 10): I cannot believe Night Ranger died just like that. It had already amassed enough Mental Energy to reach Level 11. If something happened, it should have said something to us. Taking it out in an instant before it could alert us isn't possible. Instant-kill abilities are useless before us]

[Beast Form (Level 9): Boss Destiny Luck, did Coincidental Luck take action personally? Otherwise, this doesn't make sense]

[Destiny Luck (Level 92): I've been keeping an eye on Coincidental Luck. It began to release a lot of Luck recently, and the target was Compass Carburettor]

[Beast Form (Level 9): Impossible! I've personally ensured that he was dead back then. How is he alive again?]

[Destiny Luck (Level 92): I'm gazing at him right now. And, he's perfectly alright. It's not someone else disguised as him. It's the same individual that killed Directional Misalignment, Remembrance, and Night Ranger]

[Fractional Disguise (Level 10): Boss, what do we do now? If he's capable of killing even Level 10 Systems, then it means he's able to kill all of us. Is he a True System Slayer?]

[Happy-Go-Lucky (Level 88): He's not…]

[Fractional Disguise (Level 10): Boss, I'm already risking myself by turning into Chenger. I feel like Rhizen's luck has wholly locked onto me. The moment I take action, it would destroy me]

[Lucky Bastard (Level 86): Destiny Luck, there's only one choice in this situation]

[Destiny Luck (Level 92): That's too risky. He's already killed Rhizen a couple of times. So, Coincidental Luck would target him first and ignore everything else]

[Happy-Go-Lucky (Level 88): Destiny Luck, we have no other choice. Don't worry though, I'll equip everyone with my Luck. That'll offset Coincidental Luck's actions to a great extent. And with you atop that, we don't need to worry about anything. Also, I just checked the Luck values of Compass Carburettor. It's abysmal. It seems he has expended every ounce of it recently for some reason.]

[Lucky Bastard (Level 86): So, as long as we tie down the luck that Coincidental Luck is supplying him, killing him is easy]

[Happy-Go-Lucky (Level 88): Destiny Luck, release the Slayer]

[Power Punch (Level 4): Your Majesty, please release the Slayer]

[Beast Form (Level 9): Grandpa Boss, please release the Slayer]

"These shits!" Seated in the System World, the Destiny Luck System cursed at the group members that fawned over it. They were just relying on its accumulations while trying to save their skins and accumulations as much as possible.

"What happened?" A humanoid entity asked, seated nearby. Spanning a height of three metres, sporting a lean frame, thin limbs, long legs, and flexible muscles that actuated in such a way the body moved like a dancing leaf.

A pristine face that was attractive to any member of any humanoid race, irrespective of their age, gender, and even disposition. And the most distinct traits were the emerald eyes and hair that waved in the air, despite the lack of wind, resembling snakes from time to time.

Elf!

The Elf's long ears were five times the length of a human's, twitching as it captured all the sounds from the surroundings, even able to hear a System moving far away.

Due to the characteristic of their race, it was hard to determine whether they were a man or a woman, with everyone sporting an androgynous face and body.

Seated near the Elf was a fawn, looking cute, fragile even. But, that was only its exterior appearance. As, even though it was just seated atop a boulder, the Elf's body trembled from time to time whenever its presence was released.

Destiny Luck System!

The Destiny Luck System's body only spanned a height of a metre, looking weak. But, if anyone underestimated it, they would be in for a world of despair.

"Let me show you," It stood up all of a sudden when its body expanded rapidly, turning the size of a hill as it tapped the ground once, causing Mental Energy to swirl out from it and condense into a portal.

The portal showed the figure of Compass Carburettor as it spoke, "He's Compass Carburettor. At first, we thought he was just a weakling as he's not even a True System Slayer. But, within two months, he managed to kill three Systems, one of which almost reached Level 11."

"That's impressive," The Elf nodded, "Maybe he's been through countless worlds to strengthen himself to a frightening degree. Even if they aren't True System Slayers, they can still become frightening if their source world is pretty powerful."

"Have you heard about Earth?" The Destine Luck System returned to its initial size, saying, "He's from there."

"Earth?" The Elf was surprised, "I've heard about that place. Isn't that a technological world with impressive information-gathering capabilities? How come he's from there?"

The Elf then thought, saying, "Does his Personal Fragment consist of a Nuclear Bomb? Surviving that is impossible for a Hatchling System."

"No, his Personal Fragment is just a gun." The Destiny Luck System grunted, "I've already pulled out all information related to him from an information-based System that's on Earth. And, the most shocking thing of all is the fact that he hasn't been away from Earth for more than two years."

"Two years?" The Elf's eyes widened, asking, "Then, this should be his second world at most?"

"Right?" The Destiny Luck System nodded, "It doesn't make sense when I think about it. How strong were you two years after becoming a System Slayer?"

"I was pretty strong, alright." The Elf nodded, snorting in response, "But, I had only killed one System in the first world I entered. And after that, I killed my second System only in the fourth world."

"Well, you were primarily chasing after your origin System. But still," The Destiny Luck System said, "He's pretty strong, right? What do you say? Is he a good prey for you?"

"Hmm, he hasn't become a True System Slayer yet. So, it's useless even if I kill him. But…" The Elf smirked, "He's interesting. I'll kill him."

The Elf then gazed at Destiny Luck System, "And, all the spoils from him belong to me, alright?"

"Sure, go ahead.." It smiled, watching the Elf touch the portal and appear beside Compass Carburettor, startling him.
