When Dlamini became seriously ill and went to the Eco Science City for treatment, the operations under him could still just about function. However, when those people heard the rumors that the ownership of certain shares in Tara Private Security Company had been transferred, their hearts were instantly swayed.
Using this as an excuse, the other shareholders seized this chance to wrestle over the authority Dlamini once had when he controlled the company.
However, before a decisive victor could emerge, they stopped their fighting.
This was because the company that had acquired Dlamini’s shares had sent someone over.
Faced with an external opponent, these shareholders, through a discussion with the board of directors, decided to stop their current rivalry for now. They would concentrate their efforts on facing this outsider and defeat this new enemy before anything else.
“Is the news true?”
One day later, in a conference room in Tara Company, three black men could not help frowning in their seats upon hearing the news.
Just then, a middle-aged black man suddenly laughed. “They dare to send someone to take over?”
“Yes, the representatives of the other company are waiting downstairs.”
“And who are they?”
By one side, an older black man picked up a cigar. The waiter on the side stepped forward and gently lit it.
“Blackwatch is the company that recently opened the Eco Science City in Namibia,” the subordinate at the door quickly explained.
“D*mn it, trouble has arrived on our doorstep!
The middle-aged black man banged the table fiercely at once. “What are you waiting for then? Since Dlamini has withdrawn, this company will naturally fall under our control. If outsiders dare to intervene, why, they can forget about walking out of here!”
“Don’t be rash, Colmore.”
The older black man said hurriedly, “We can first meet them and see what they have in mind. After all, they won’t be unaware of who we are. Since they still dare to cross the border to take over Tara Company, I’m afraid they won’t be beaten off so easily.”
“Plus, among the representatives they’ve sent are the two top mercenaries, Brando and Sara.” The older black man added.
“Those two traitors are here too?”
The middle-aged black man called Colmore snorted coldly. “They’re just two killers. It’s not like we don’t have some of those ourselves.”
“Forget about Brando and Sara. What about that company?”
The older black man shook his head and said earnestly, “This Blackwatch Corporation is very mysterious. They’re supported by a few major financial groups in North America and Europe. It won’t be wise to provoke them.”
“In that case, we’ll go with your plan, Botu.”
The middle-aged black man turned up his palms unwillingly. “Even if they’re influential on an international level, don’t forget that we won’t put up with b*stards like them…”
As they all agreed unanimously, the old man Botu strode to the door and ordered, “Bring in the representatives of the Blackwatch Corporation.”
One of his staff nodded, turned, and walked out of the conference room. After a while, about a dozen men and women filed in from outside.
However, upon meeting these people, the three men who were puffing away in the top seats could not help but raise their eyebrows.
“Look who’s here. Isn’t that Brando? And Ms. Sara. To think that Dlamini was telling the truth — both of you have run off to another company.”
The middle-aged man narrowed his eyes at Sara and let out a long whistle.
“Mr. Colmore, we now represent the Blackwatch Corporation.”
Brando coolly and fearlessly sat down opposite the shareholders. “I believe you’re all acquainted with Sara and myself. Now, let me introduce the rest. This is our company’s negotiating expert, Anthony, our legal counsel, Jennifer, and their team.”
After that, Brando said to Anthony and the rest, “Before us are the shareholders of Tara Private Security Company. This is Mr. Colmore, that’s Mr. Botu, and that’s Mr. Papari…”
After introducing the three of them, Brando suddenly asked, “Where’s Mr. Prak? I remember that he holds a six percent stake in Tara Company.”
“The three of us can represent him.” Botu waved his hand indifferently.
Colmore suddenly laughed viciously and mocked. “Brando, are you going to give up your previous career and become a white-collar worker?”
“I’m only in charge of the security of this negotiation, not the negotiation itself.” Brando withdrew his smile and resumed his usual stern demeanor.
“Alright, Colmore, let’s talk business.”
Botu cut off their little tiff and turned to face the negotiating team from Blackwatch. “Now, can you tell us what your intentions are in coming here?”
Anthony looked at the bodyguards positioned around the conference room and gulped secretly. “Mr. Botu, on behalf of Blackwatch Corporation, we want to acquire your shares of Tara Company. This is our plan. Please take a look…”
While talking, he looked to the assistant on his side. The assistant took out a few sheets with trembling hands and handed them to the people across the conference table.
Botu opened the plan and looked at it, then frowned. “A twenty percent premium?”
“Yes, our company is willing to purchase the shares you own at a premium of twenty percent.”
Anthony said in as calm a tone as possible, “We value Tara Private Security Company to be at one billion USD. You all hold twenty-four percent of the shares in Tara Company, so our company is willing to buy your part of the shares for three hundred million USD.”
“Your calculations are inaccurate.”
Botu calmly said, “Tara has a very impressive reputation throughout Africa. It receives more than three hundred orders every year and its net profit is close to a hundred million USD. We think that Tara Private Security Company is worth at least two billion.”
“Yeah, two billion at least, maybe even two and a half!” Colmore swiftly chimed in.
“That… We can discuss this.” Anthony hesitated.
“There’s nothing to discuss.”
Colmore started to raise his voice. “Either you buy our shares at the valuation of two billion USD or you can scram back to Namibia for we don’t welcome you here!”
Anthony and the rest instantly looked troubled.
“And the other two agree with this?”
Brando’s face darkened as he looked at Botu and Papari.
They both nodded. Botu said matter-of-factly, “In fact, we can discuss this, but the valuation cannot be less than two billion.”
“In that case, then there’s nothing to talk about.”
Sara’s face turned icy as she stood up. “I hope that you’ll remain this self-assured a few days later.”
With that, she turned to leave the conference room.
Brando could only shake his head as he looked at everyone with a trace of pity. “Mr. Botu, I hope you’ll reconsider. To get this sum of money by letting go of those insignificant shares — isn’t that a wonderful thing for everyone?”
When Botu heard this, he took a puff of his cigar and his expression turned grave. “Brando, are you threatening us?”
“No, please believe me, it’s just a piece of advice.”
Brando shook his head and said soberly, “A piece of kind advice.”
