The body of a child at the age of 3 years and a half was still growing. Kids around this age usually had early bedtimes, and should usually be drifting into dreamland around 7 p.m.

It was now 9.30 p.m. after the whole ruckus from earlier on settled down.

It wasn’t long before Lu Li had become so sleepy that she started rubbing her eyes and yawning as Lu Junhan held her in his arms. Her crystal clear eyes were getting wetter underneath those long eyelashes, but she was trying her best to stay awake.

She wanted to stay with her daddy for a little longer.

Her little head would drop down onto Lu Junhan’s shoulder like a chick trying to peck food off the ground. There would also be moments when she snored lightly like a pig.

The noises around her weren’t able to wake her up, perhaps because of how comfortable it was, sleeping in daddy’s arms.

To fall asleep in his arms, this little thing certainly had the guts.

Hearing her daddy’s voice assured her that he was still there. Relieved, she rested on his shoulder, allowing herself to fall into a deep sleep.

Her warm breath on his skin felt like he was being brushed by a feather. She blushed as she slept—the scene was both beautiful and cute at the same time.

Lu Junhan’s cold and calm expression had subconsciously become softer.

Lu Junhan still had Lu Li in his arms when he appeared in the hall, and many of his guests gasped audibly when they saw the scene. Their eyes were filled with disbelief as if they were unable to comprehend what they had just seen.
