‘But what can I do? I have to write this to get out of here.‘
‘It was never premeditated or a planned crime, it was just an accident. I never contacted Yulem, and it seems that there was a conflict in the process of approaching them first, knowing I had imprinted the dragon… And now, I’m doing this…’
“Why should I write it?”
Noah flinched at the look in Kyle’s eyes when she tried to throw away her sixteenth letter of apology.
“Miss Noah, how many nights did I tell you I was working overnight to reduce your sentence?”
“…Four days.”
“So, how should people behave when they’ve received help?”
Kyle asked in a nice yet intimidating way. Noah gave up and continued after three seconds of silence.
“I’ll write it down….”
Noah sulked and her pen moved in a depressing way that reflected her mood.
‘If you forgive me this once, I will really be reborn as a new person…’

‘I am a little tired’, Kyle thought.
He blinked slowly and read Noah’s letter of apology. The first copy was well written, but as Kyle looked at the other copies, the writing became more difficult to read. The last copy was almost impossible to read.
However the emperor wouldn’t read them one by one anyway, so instead of nagging Noah to write it correctly, Kyle placed the fifteenth apology letter into a folder.
Whilst Noah wrote her sixteenth letter of apology, Kyle took out an incident log and checked the list of things he still had to deal with.
‘There’s still so much to do.’
Once Noah’s trial was over, the dragon’s egg disappearance case would officially end. However, the real culprit was someone else, so Kyle must follow Lenia’s tail and catch the forces that were backing her.
In the meantime, something serious was happening in Noviscocia, so Kyle had to go on a business trip, as he could not be in two places at one, Kyle couldn’t deal with Tezeva and Noviscocia at the same time.
Fortunately, Penelope and Paul had reviewed the recordings of the terrorist attacks on the train to the Edmans and the Angelic ship, but he was unhappy if he didn’t check it himself…
Ring
After a moment of silence, the pager on the desk rang. Surprised, Kyle pressed the button on his pager and winked at Noah to continue.
-Boss, I have something to tell you.
“Penelope?”
Kyle’s body became tense and he snatched the pager and answered.
“Why? Is there something wrong?”
– No. It’s not like that, but… Are you still interrogating the Baroness?
“What’s going on?”
Kyle’s voice was low. Once he entered the interrogation room, his men rarely called him out. They knew he didn’t like to be disturbed, but the fact that they disturbed him meant something had happened.
Kyle spat out sharply.
“I’ll come up. Wait.”
– Oh no… Captain. It’s not urgent, so I’ll report it to you later. I’m sorry to disturb you.
“What? Penelope, are you kidding me?”
Kyle was about to reply with fatigue and irritation in his voice but stopped when he saw Noah.
‘She can’t be surprised and start to cry again.‘
“…..I see, Let me know later.”
In the end, Kyle answered Penelope in a friendly manner and then turned off his pager.
“Oh, are you leaving?”
Noah’s face was filled with anxiety. Kyle noticed Noahs’s eyes watched him and she appeared to hate the idea of being left alone in the interrogation room.
“Are you going to go?”
“I have something to do…”
“I’m nearly finished writing. Wait, then let’s go together…”
Noah reached over the table and took Kyle’s hand. Kyle looked down at her hand on his hand and felt a little embarrassed. The last time Noah treated the wound on his face, he thought it, but Noah was quite friendly with him.
“No?”
“……”
It was hard for Kyle to refuse when he saw her expression.
Noah stared at Kyle and pouted. How could I leave her when she was like this?
Kyle realised what he was doing, and realised Noah was like a cat.
On a sunny day, a cat lies on its stomach by the window and sleeps in the sun. It comes only when it is in a good mood or needs its owner, and then it fled and went back to its place when the business was over and it went to sleep.
“….Then do it quickly.”
Kyle couldn’t believe it, why was he accepting everything. As soon as Kyle gave a positive answer, Noah’s face lit up.
Kyle was pleased as he watched Noah move her pen diligently, unlike before, and eventually, he sat across from her.
