Stella took a deep breath before greeting the lady.
"Good afternoon, Baroness Luxford… Thank you for meeting us even though we didn't set up an appointment."
She felt a bit awkward as she doesn't know how to greet a noble lady of the house. The two behind her were also unsure as they lack education about etiquette and manners on how to present themselves in front of a noble.
"I do not mind such things… Especially when I heard that you friend with my son, Diether, is that right?" The baroness smiled as she gestured for them to sit down in front of her.
"Right, you must have just arrived in the town… Maggy, serve them some snacks…" She added.
Her maids then quickly served the girls some freshly baked cookies and tea. None of them know how to appreciate a tea but they still decided to praise it after having a sip…
"Baroness Lux—"
"Just call me Madam Luna…" The baroness corrected Stella before she let her continue.
"I understand, Madam Luna. Then allow us to introduce ourselves again. I'm Stella, and this is my friend from our Mercenary Squad, Lyrei… This is Yasmin, one of Diether's friends that we met on our search for him…"
"Ohh… I didn't know that he was acquainted with such beautiful ladies… Unfortunately, Diether hasn't returned home for years now and was only sending letters. May I know why you're looking for him?"
Finally, they could already see themselves finding the man himself!
If he's sending letters, then they could just trace back his location. It is even better if his mother already knows his whereabouts.
Stella then cleared her throat before explaining her reason.
She told Luna that she and Diether have the same Master and they are practicing similar sword techniques. Right now, she wanted to find her master and her only clue is her son, Diether, since he was mentioned by his master before.
Though Reiji didn't really say that his other student in Farahn Village was Diether, all clues are truly pointing at him and even Yasmin confirmed it.
At this point, she's sure that the person she's looking for is really that person.
"I see… A disciple of the same Master! I knew it… He wouldn't have become so strong without someone else's help! I remember that he was so sickly and weak before. But now, he even becomes one of the strongest Knights in his batch. It's incredible…"
Luna appears to be really happy after learning about the existence of her son's master.
If possible, she would also like to thank that master for healing and taking care of her son, and even making him a strong Knight Arcanist.
"Ahh… He became a Knight? May I know which Knights Order he joined in?" Stella excitedly asked.
If he manages to get Knighted, it only means that he's really a capable person as expected of someone that his master would choose as a student.
"Yes… He managed to do it about a year now. The last time he wrote us a letter was about him being a Knight-Captain… He's incredible." Luna smiled as she couldn't help being proud when talking about her son.
"Right, the name of the Knights Order is the Sun Fire Knights. I heard that the Order is respectable and had done numerous humanitarian actions to help those people in need. Most of the missions he's getting were the elimination of Evil Beasts that causes huge troubles to small villages and towns."
Luna explained as she was really happy that Diether applied to the Sun Fire Knights instead.
Stella and Yasmin nodded at this.
They know that the Chaos Knights were mostly used for exploration missions; Royal Knights for the protection of the Royal Family and their castles; while the Sun Fire Knights were for these kinds of missions that target the Evil Beasts as long as it is within the territory of the Kingdom.
As for the mysterious Order called Shadow Weave Knights, they barely know anything about them as these knights were only small in number and they wouldn't normally appear in public unless it is a matter of a national-level threat.
In the war between the Erliente Dukedom and the Chodora Kingdom that was ended by the appearance of the Crown Prince, the Shadow Weave Knights were actually mobilized.
The prince didn't just negotiate using his oratory skills but because of the pressure made by the mysterious knights.
As far as Stella knows, not even the citizens of the kingdom know that they have been mobilized at all.
Only the citizens of the largest city in the Dukedom had known about it.
That's right, they have been secretly sent to antagonize the Dukedom's territory.
If her Mercenary Squad was just a normal group, she would probably be unaware of this as well.
They continued chatting for a while as Yasmin and Stella shared their stories.
On the other hand, Lyrei was just enjoying the finest quality of snacks that were served to them.
After some time when they confirmed Diether's possible whereabouts at this time, they heard someone enter the room.
Yasmin immediately recognized that she's Diether's sibling or due to their semblance. Her guess was correct as Madam Luna called for her.
"Aria… I thought that you won't be having dinner here. You returned so early."
The young lady with similar gray-blue eyes and ponytailed long black hair smiled at her mother.
"Well, I've set up an array here and noticed that some strong individuals entered our house… So I hurried here."
"Oh my… I forgot about that. Anyway, it seems that they're Diether's friends. You guys seem to be around the same age so I hope you could entertain them a bit. I will be resting for now."
Luna then gave a meaningful glance to her daughter before leaving the room. Aria understood what she meant as she greeted the three familiar ladies and not letting them take more of her mother's time.
Apparently, Luna allowed them to meet her even though they are fully equipped with dangerous Arcana not because she's clueless.
As a matter of fact, she wouldn't mind if they decided to attack her with hostility.
She knows very well that these three have experienced killing people already just by the aura they exude.
Nevertheless, her daughter spent years providing protection array within this mansion and to their manor at their fief so she wasn't worried at all!
Now, it was all up to her daughter whether these three would be able to get out of here alive.
