Chapter 0 - prologue

Here was a warm, heavenly paradise with anything you could possibly wish for. A place void of problems.

Although if a problem must be named, it would be the male protagonist and I, the daughter of a villain. But I had been abandoned by my family, thrown off a cliff and left to die, deprived of the right to live. It was the father of the male protagonist, who saved me that day.

Of course, I would have most likely been killed on the spot if they discovered I had the notorious

Delde blood running through my veins. Fortunately, the truth behind my origins had not been found out yet.

Ah, seriously, my biological father just couldn’t peacefully leave me alone somewhere. He just had to abandon me in a field in the middle of a raging snowstorm. If it weren’t for my savior, I would have most likely perished.

Now I’m lying here next to his son, swaddled in a blanket. Ah, I really want to run away right now. But alas, I am still a newborn baby. I cannot do anything in this pitiful state of mine.

Hmm, perhaps it would be a good idea to stay here for now. In this house, I can eat and sleep luxuriously without lifting a finger. When I grow up a little bit more, I will run away.

What else can I do? I have no one to rely on right now. I guess, I can’t help it. Until I become an adult and am able to survive alone, I will happily enjoy this comfortable life.

When I finally came to this conclusion, a loud cry sounded once again in the room.

“Uwaa! Uwaaa!”

The male lead, that guy, he’s so noisy!

I reached out and tickled his cheeks. It was evident he was not happy with my tickling, as tears began to pool in his pretty blue eyes. Before long, he burst into a crying fit again.

“Uwaaah!”

I gazed at his plump cheeks, patting him gently. Sorry, I’ll be borrowing your dad~

There was a reason for my apology: I had stolen his father from him. The way his father treated us was evidently different. He would only show his kind side to me.

The reason for this kind of discrimination was simple. I appeared as a fragile and delicate girl, as if I would shatter like ceramics if I wasn’t handled properly. The male lead, on the other hand, resembled his father.

That’s why you should call papa’s name too, I thought. Maybe he’ll be kinder to you.

Somehow, I began to feel pity for him. I took the pacifier out of my mouth and put it in his.

“Uhng?”

Good, chew on that quietly. I rolled over, turning away from the male lead. Hmm, perhaps I’ve saved my father a little bit of annoyance?
