Kyomi's POV:

As I got home I could already tell that something was wrong, whenever I was in trouble both my parents were always already waiting in front of the entrance for me.

I quietly got out of the vehicle and braced myself for the worst.

My father's eyes were hard and cold as he all but glared at me, I flinched at his expression . "Good evening father." I greeted him before turning to look at my mother. "Good evening mother."

She also was looking at me like I'd made some grave mistake, they hadn't even spoken to Frederick as yet so what could I have possibly done wrong for them to act like this?

"Someone left an anonymous call for your father today." My mother started, this was normal, she was usually the one to relay whatever it is I'd done wrong to me while my father just stood and glared. "The person claimed to have seen you having a conversation with Dante Clarke today—"

Oh no!

If I admitted to this they would kill me, I wouldn't even live to see another day. I forced myself to keep a straight face.

"Dante Clarke? I don't even talk to any man, why would I have a conversation with Dante when I know how much our family doesn't like him or his family?"I asked giving them an incredulous look.

Their mood seemed to improve at my words. "I think someone is just trying to stir up trouble, I would never make the mistake of having anything to do with someone like Dante. You've both taught me better than that, he's someone I know to stay away from."

My father gave a small nod. "I'm happy to hear that it was just a rumor however Kyomi if I ever find out that you lied to me there would be serious repercussions. I've taught you and your sisters more than enough for you to know the kind of people the Clarkes' are , it would be a dent in my pride if my own daughter was seen hanging out with such a low life."

"I know that father, I've listened to everything you've told me thus far, I'm not going to disobey you in the worst way possible after everything you've taught me. You can trust me."

"Good." He responded ."We're hosting an event at home tomorrow night, your mother has a few outfits laid out for you to choose from. Choose wisely and you must be on your best behavior as everyone would be looking at you and waiting for you to make a mistake like they always do. "

I nodded. "Yes father."

I watched as they both walked off finally leaving me to myself. I let out a frustrated sigh, this was the first time I'd lied to my parents and I did it because of Dante! My father was right, I knew enough about Dante and his family to know the kind of people they were, to know how important it was for me to not have anything to do with them.

I had to stay away from Dante or find some way for him to leave me alone, for my life depended on it.
