~KYOMI~
"Father." I whispered, trying to find the courage to speak again. " I've heard from Dante that Ben is not who he says he is, he's done some bad things in the past, things he wasn't okay with telling me, things he doesn't want us to know. I went to the beach with Dante today in hopes of him telling me what Ben had done in the past that was so wrong. I just wanted to make sure that he wasn't a bad person before I went ahead and got married to him." I confessed.
"What do I do with you?" My father demanded. "Did you really believe the words coming out of Dante Clarke's mouth? Do you not know that they are liars? They're everything I've thought you to stay away from and now you want to tell me that you believed the nonsense coming out of that low life's mouth? I've known Ben and his father for a long time, they are good people. I've also known Dante's family for a long time and I could easily tell you who's good and bad between the Chadwick's and the Clarke's."
I winced at the rough tone of his voice, it seemed like anything I said from now on only angered him further, maybe it was best to remain quiet from here on out.
"Even if that were the case, that you went there to find out the truth about Ben. The pictures all over the internet states otherwise. I've never been this embarrassed in my entire life and my very own daughter is the reason for this sudden dent in my reputation!"
I felt the tears form in my eyes at his gruesome words. I've worked hard all my life to make my father proud of me, to never embarrass him, to ensure that he could always lift his head high wherever he went and within a few seconds I'd destroyed it all.
All because I couldn't control myself around Dante, the very man my father had warned me to stay away from.
What was going to happen to me now?
My father practically hated me, I could see it in the way he looked at me, felt it in the way he'd slapped me. I'm the family's embarrassment, the daughter who'd betrayed my father's trust.
I knew my father, he would never forgive me for this.
There was just one question on my mind now, what would be my punishment?
As the first tear rolled down my cheeks I felt the car pull to a sudden stop.
"What the hell is happening in front of my house!" My father roared. "Is this some sort of circus?"
I followed his gaze and felt my heart skip a beat.
No.
This couldn't be possible!
