"Father." I said as soon as I got down my bike. "How could you leave without getting him to agree to the marriage?" I asked as I stepped closer to where he stood near the fountain.

My father turned to me with a smug smile on his face, surprisingly this was the most relaxed I'd seen him in a while. "Because I know he has no choice in the matter, he's completely trapped son. He would try to come up with ways to save his daughter's reputation but he wouldn't find anything but what I've offered to him. He may look for potential suitors—"

I immediately stiffened at the mention of potential suitors.

"But no one would want to marry Kyomi after seeing those pictures on the internet, not even the Chadwicks would settle for her. Pride is everything for men like them, they would want a wife with a good reputation, unfortunately for all of them Kyomi is no longer one of them."

For the first time in my life I felt guilty, I'd purposely done this to Kyomi when I knew she didn't deserve it. After spending the little time I'd done with her I realized just how innocent and sweet she was. However, I didn't regret my actions, if she had married Ben her life would have been miserable... Not that it would be any better with me.

But this was something that had to be done, her father needed to be taught a lesson.

Either way, this was a request made by my father and I wasn't at liberty to disobey his orders.

"So what do we do now?" I asked.

He shrugged his shoulders. "All that's left for us to do now is wait."

"Wait?" I asked, impatient. "Why must we wait?"

"You've already done all the hard work son, by the end of the week Dominic would hand over his daughter to us, his pride is everything. When the people who's opinions he cares about the most starts approaching him and asking questions about your relationship with his daughter he will crack." My father ȧssured me. "So now, we wait."
