~DANTE~
As I took one last look at myself in the mirror I couldn't bring myself to believe that today was actually happening.
I was actually getting married. The thought made me very uncomfortable. I still found myself to be way to young to be tied down in marriage.
At first, all I could think about was getting Kyomi to agree to the wedding. However, after her parents had actually come forward and proposed the whole thing, I realized how real this entire thing was.
I also realized something that bothered me. I had started to care for the girl. Somewhere between pretending to have a thing for her and trying to woo her for the sake of my father I'd actually begun to really care for Kyomi.
But I didn't want to.
After my first heart break a year ago, I'd promised myself never to care for another girl. Having feelings for someone only made you weak. Every minute, no, every second they were always on your mind.
Wondering if they got home safely, wondering what they were up to. Constantly checking up on them to make sure they were okay.
But nothing hurt more than getting up one day and finding out that person was gone . . . disappeared without a trace.
I didn't want to experience pain like that again. Once was enough, I was not about to do the same thing to myself twice.
Then there was also the fact that I knew she would hate me after finding out the truth. I needed to prepare myself for that, needed to distance myself from her before she found out and gave me a look that would completely shatter me for betraying her.
No good would come from me caring for her. So, I made a promise to myself that I would stop it while I can. Go back to my regular life and pretending that she didn't exist. Though, things would be a lot more difficult to do that now considering that we were getting married.
That means she would constantly be near my side. I'll be able to smell her sweet scent in the bathroom, in my room . . . All over my bed.
Fuck.
She had the ability to affect me even when she wasn't near, just the thought of her sent my body raging with ŀust.
I heard the door open and turned slightly to find two of my brothers at the doorway, all dressed and ready for the wedding.
"Are you ready bro?" Fabio asked with a grin.
"Yeah, are you?" Mateo asked as he punched my shoulder.
"I'm trying to be." I answered.
"Yeah well try harder, the ceremony is about to start." Hugo said poking his head through the door.
I swallowed, this was it.
I was about to get married to Kyomi Palmer.
