~KYOMI~
It was my first day back to school after the wedding. Dante didn't come home last night as far as I knew. I woke until two in the morning, anxiously waiting for him but he never showed. Violetta had shown me to his room, the one I remembered since our last encounter. Only this time some changes had been made to it to accommodate me. I'd laid in that bed, inhaling his scent for comfort the entire night. For some reason it helped to calm my nerves.
It also helped me to finally fall asleep. When I had awoken the next morning, he still wasn't there. I knew he had classes on evenings, so I expected to at least see him when I was leaving school later today.
My mind was still having a hard time accepting all of this.
It felt like he was avoiding me. Why couldn't he just face me! I didn't understand his actions at all. How could someone change completely in the matter of a few days?
I took a deep breath. I couldn't allow this to upset my day. I would attend my classes like normal while hopefully at the same time getting him out of my mind. Something that was proving to be impossible as of lately.
As I walked into the school compound I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with all the stares directed my way. It's not like I wasn't expecting it. However, that did nothing to stop my discomfort.
"Kyomi!"
My gaze followed the sound and I felt my body relax as my eyes rested on my friends.
They were waving excitedly at me with wide smiles on their faces.
"So." Mandy screeched. "Spill everything about your wedding night."
My mood immediately dampened at her words.
"Nothing happened." I confessed.
They all frowned at that. "You mean to tell me nothing happened between you and Dante Clarke, the freaking womanizer?"
I nodded, even I was finding a hard time to believe it. "He left on some family business according to his sister. Didn't even come home last night. I was all alone."
Bridgette's eyes softened at my words. "Oh poor Kyomi." She whispered.
"It's okay." I ȧssured her. "But can we just not talk about anything to do with Dante for the rest of the day. It would be nice to go a day without thinking or having to answer questions about him."
Mandy nodded. "We get it. No words are to be spoken about you know who." She replied with a wink.
I smiled, happy at her effort to cheer me up.
Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all.

It was time to go home. After a very long day of trying my best not to think about Dante, I couldn't wait to get home and rest myself.
However, home didn't feel like home anymore. For I felt unwanted there ever since Dante started giving me mixed signals.
I shook my head and started searching the parking lot for my driver, the one that had dropped me off earlier today.
Then something caught my eyes that sent chills up my spine.
I paused. Shock making its way into my body.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Dante stood near the his van with another girl's hands wrapped around his neck.
I couldn't move, my feet suddenly felt like they were glued to the ground. I didn't want to stand here and see anymore of this but my body refused to comply with my thoughts.
As if things couldn't get anymore worse, the girl turned and saw me standing to the side of them. Her eyes narrowed before she tightened her hold around his neck.
I felt my heart squeeze at the sight. This hurt a lot more than I ever expected it too.
I watched as she let go of him and whispered something in his ear. His eyes snapped in my direction at whatever she'd just told him. There was a flicker of surprise on his face for a quick second before he buried it.
I bit my lip and finally worked up the courage to approach them.
"Are you ready to leave now?" I asked him, trying my best to stay calm under the circumstances. I ȧssumed he was my transport for I couldn't spot the driver anywhere.
He eyed me cautiously. Probably waiting for me to snap at him.
"Why can't you find your own way home?" The girl asked.
"And what are you?" I asked her. "Experiment 689?"
Okay, where did that even come from? It was like I was experiencing jealousy for the first time and it brought out something totally new in me.
She smiled now. "At least I wasn't trapped into a marriage without knowing about it."
I froze, my mind suddenly dumbstruck. "What are you talking about?"
