Which request should we take?

I muttered to myself as I stared at the bulletin board where there were a bunch of papers with the detail of the request written on it. By the way, we were the only ones standing near the bulletin board. Adventurers couldnt read so they had to go to the receptionist and confirm the details of each request verbally.

.. I wonder whats the purpose of them putting this bulletin board here.

Even though it was impossible for adventurers, who consisted of commoners and poor people, to be able to read.

Hmm. As I thought, I think its better to take on a request that can allow us to leave this country.

Alaine-san pointed to a request for escorting a merchant. The request was intended for several parties. Was Alaine-san fine with it? I thought she was trying to make it like we were going to go on a date with just the two of us?

Im not a particularly dense person. Im aware that Alaine-san is fond of me. Or rather, she told me she likes me herself.. I dont think Alaine-san wants to be with someone who can disappear all of a sudden.

We decided to take the request. In the paper for the request, it was written down that we had to meet up at the meeting place tomorrow morning. It seemed Id need to spend the night here.

.. It had been a year since I first came to this world but except when I needed to camp outdoors, thisd be the first time I actually stayed at an inn that was not the one provided for the members of the knight.

Alaine-san put her hand on her chin, looking troubled.

I guess she doesnt have anything she particularly wants to eat.

Then Thats right. How about if we eat at that place?

I pointed to a restaurant that Alaine-san seemed to like.

Even though Alaine-san heard me, she still remained silent.

On top of all that, her feet stopped moving. She stopped dead on her track.

I wonder just what in the world is going on? Maybe theres something shes upset about?

Alaine-san started speaking hesitantly.

Wo-Would you like to try some of my home cooking?

Huh..

At Alaine-sans unexpected suggestion, I also stopped walking. My mouth was hanging open dumbfoundedly.
