Cheonma then held the child, flew to the air and looked down at the assassins. Some of those  grunts were crushed by his mere presence and died while vomiting up blood.

Cheonma stretched out his hand. His elegantly stretched-out hand then bent like the claws of an eagle.

Suddenly, the man, as if he were caught with an invisible fishing line, was sucked towards  Cheonma’s hands.

Cheonma grabbed the man’s neck and tilted his head.

“Who sent you?”

“Huk, ple.. Please…”

The man who had been toying with the children previously, could not even squeak before Cheonma.

“I asked you. Who sent you?”

“i..if I answer, will you let me live?”

“No, you all still have to die .”

“P-p-please let us live! We were only commissioned by the North Sea Ice Palace! I-i-if you could spare me, I’ll even reveal all the Black Wolf arts to your organization.”

“So you are from the Black Wolf group.”

When he had heard everything he needed to, Cheonma dug the tip of his hand deeper into the man’s neck.

“Huuaaackccck!”

The man’s skin began to wrinkle as if it had lost its vitality.  His body slowly shrunk and soon afterwards, it turned into gray dust and scattered into the air.

“Absorption Arts!”

It was evil magic that could absorb your opponent’s energy.

The reason behind Cheonma’s choice to use his absorption powers, not his other destructive powers, was clear.

“For you guys, there won’t be even a dead body left behind to find after I’m done.”

The eyes and lips of Cheonma were stained with deep blood.

Laughing loudly, Cheonma slowly approached the frozen assassins.

Whiiiing!

The wind blew like crazy. The atmosphere vibrated and the ground rumbled.

Even though certain death was opening its maw in front of them, the assassins could not move.

They couldn’t even blink.  This is because they were crushed by absolute fear and overwhelming pressure.

“Huh? Ugh… Argh!”

The bodies of the assassins near Cheonma turned black and disintegrated.

“Keeeuakk!”

“No! Aaaak!”

Screams broke out everywhere.

The scene of each person turning into a pile of ashes was so horrible that it seemed like hell.

Only a few moments had passed, but the grunts in the radius of 30 meters around Cheonma disappeared without a trace.

Like Cheonma said not even a dead body would be left.

Tok, tok.

Cheonma lightly dusted the black dust that landed on the child’s body. The gesture was so casual that it was as if he had merely taken a stroll with the child.

“Ru-run!”

Only then did someone finally scream.

The assassins, who were outside the range of the Absorption Arts, belatedly came to their senses and began to flee.

While watching the rapidly fleeing assassins, Cheonma turned around to head for the palace.

****

He laid the child on the bed and carefully undressed her. The blood from the child’s thin shoulders spread, coloring the mattress.

Cheonma could not touch the child’s wounds and grabbed the red-colored mattress instead.

How many times had he been through this type of situation?

Death was a familiar thing to Cheonma. All those close to him had always died a miserable death. Cheonma was sure that he was cursed. So he could only turn a blind eye towards his child.

He believed the further away the child lived from the magic sects, the more she would be safe.

He didn’t even announce the existence of the child to the outside world. He pretended not to acknowledge her as if she were nothing to him. And because of his lack of attention, the Murim League thought little of the child as the result.

Then, his persistent curse would not be able to hurt the child.

So if these recent events were dealt with quietly, his enemies shouldn’t be interested in his child.

The child would be safer if he faked his own death and was to be raised far away from the sects.

But what if he was wrong?

The child still continued to be in danger even though he was forced to stay away.

Then what’s the point of all this?

Wouldn’t it be better to keep her close?

If he risked his own life to protect her, maybe the child would be safe.

At the very least he could’ve directly taken on the threat instead of the child.

“Divine Spirit.”

At the call of Cheonma, a silver spirit came down from the ceiling.

“Raise the Black Moon.”

The Black Moon, a flag that pictured a black moon.

It was a sign that an enemy had appeared for the sect, and it was also a sign to call in all the men.

Starting from the palace of Cheonma, the only ones that could enter within 300m were the servants, the Young Sect Master (TL note: decided to localize sogyogu to Young Sect Master from now on), the elders, and the families of the elders.

It was because the minimum safety distance was 300m in the case of when the elders were consumed by black magic.

The masters of black magic spread widely throughout the 100,000 Mountain established their territory and trained freely.

The signal that made them move was the Black Moon.

After the Divine Spirit disappeared, the center symbol of black magic, the Black Moon, went up.

The elders, who were scattered on 100,000 Mountain, gathered at once after seeing the Black Moon. The elders who had lured the North Sea Ice Palace members away also returned.

Once they saw the child’s condition, they did not ask. They were in quiet rage instead.

The medical-savvy king looked at the child’s shoulders and said.

“The wound treatment is over. It’s a matter of internal qi, but it might not be good for her if we inject her with our qi. Even if it’s slow, it is better to wait until she recovers naturally.”

“How long?”

“Her internal qi was excessively used, and she lost a lot of blood. She needs at least a month to recover.

“One month.”

Cheonma, who echoed his words softly, raised his lips gently. It was such a bewitching smile that one could hardly take one’s eyes off from it. The elders held their breath as they felt his deep conviction buried deep inside.

Cheonma faced the elders who were full of expectations.

“It’s enough time to destroy the North Sea Ice Palace.”

“We will follow Sect Master!”

No one opposed the declaration of completely eliminating a faction, not even a word of caution.

An eye for an eye. Extermination of the whole family line wasn’t enough to pay for the crime of touching the child.

Chun-ma looked at one of the elders standing quietly.

“Shaman King.”

“Yes, Sect Master.”

“Find and exterminate all of the Black Wolf members that work in the central district.”

“…..I also have a lot of grievances piled up with the North Sea Ice Palace.”

The Shaman King expression seemed calm, but he wasn’t calm inside.

How dare they hurt our child?

They were an odd bunch of old men with bent backs that had casually received kisses on their cheeks from that flower-like child.

The Shaman King who was as angry as Cheonma wanted to tear everything apart.

Cheonma smirked as if he had noticed the Shaman King’s thoughts.

“They’ve directly hurt my daughter.”

The intense look in the Shaman King’s blue eyes disappeared at once. He bowed his head with a gracious smile like an old man that lived next door.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve used blood magic. I’ll do that.”

When Cheonma rose from his seat, the elders, who were looking at the Shaman king with envious eyes, stepped aside. Before leaving the room, Cheonma brushed the child’s cold cheek with his hand and pursed his lips.

“Divine Spirit.”

“Build a defense around this room. I won’t let anyone in except the child’s nanny.”

Cheonma left without listening to the answer of the spirit.

There were already hundreds of masters of magic in the front yard. They knelt in unison when the heavenly horse appeared.

Cheonma leapt about halfway through the open space. As if he was climbing the invisible stairs, he stepped up into the air.

Extraordinary air magic!

The expressions of the masters turned into ones of admiration. It was inevitable because they had just seen the highest level of air magic of creating a staircase step by step.

Cheonma stood upright in the air and looked down.

“In the next month, the North Sea Ice Palace will disappear.”

Cheonma’s voice filled the empty space. Some men who were weak against intense auras began to throw up blood.

“There’s no need to hide the traces. Kill them as cruelly as you can.”

The wind began to blow hard as if to herald a terrible future.

Cheonma fluttered his long hair and gave an alluring smile.

“Every living person on this earth will know what terrible price they have to pay for touching my daughter.”

There was no need for an answer. Under orders from Cheonma, the magicians used their flight magic to leave the sect.

Cheonma looked down coldly at the suddenly empty space and then turned around.

Nine elders followed behind him in silence.
