Chapter 103: A husband can not go back!

"It was a good decision to rest."

"Yes, husband!"

"I agree."

The current party members of Kyoya's team were his wife and Josef. At this point, the husband doesn't care about the party's composition but just wishes to become friends with people similar to him.

The raw strength was always an important aspect, but similarities to him and his path were as important.

In a small circle, Kyoya took the party leader's role and asked the necessary questions to Josef whether he had taken all his stuff with himself and was ready to go to the Grooma Kingdom.

Although Josef was from a different Kingdom and was affiliated to another Adventurer Guild, he didn't mind going to another kingdom as the goal was not to get a mission but prepare information and form some connections for equipment.

First of all, the husband and Josef have to sell their loot from Bha Mountain's adventures. The new party member also had some more ores to sell, so a powerful kingdom visit was necessary.

Then, the husband had to ask about the information on particular floors whose names appeared in his quest log.

Those floor's names were from the quest to find the useful to Xaya's equipment resources per the Sixth Death God's grace. The husband had a list of those floors and just had to get a little stronger to visit the first destination.

This was perfect as the goal was still to find the right soil for the fire origin and end the bathroom's first project. However, the equipment was essential, not only for Xaya!

Kyoya wanted to get at least one pair of knives that would allow him to keep going forward with all his divine energies in its peak form. The knives that would make close combat long and possible.

"Let's go to the Grooma Kingdom then! Ah, there is that half-blood idiot."

"Ah, husband! You have to kill the filth!"

"Eh? Do you have an enemy in such a prestigious kingdom?"

"No, no. It's one of the stupid adventurers who only know how to drink and fuck. Nothing significant."

The husband reassured his new party member while packing the house straight into his inventory. All his stuff was within his game system, and this yet again shocked Josef as this was one of the greatest treasures that would make top adventurers put aside their pride and status to get it from Kyoya!

As the house disappeared, the slight breeze passed through the party.

It was so serene and calm that the teleportation to the special floor, The Grooma Kingdom, should have long ago enveloped their bodies! Yet to their surprise, nothing happened, which meant that someone has been directing their killing intent at them!

'Since when?'

The question arose within Kyoya's heart. If they had been targeted secretly ever since the beginning, then this was a disaster. Not only the party had been unaware of it, but the enemy was also so strong that they had no way of feeling it!

"A filth?"

Only Xaya didn't display any worry on her face, her breath tickling Kyoya's cold cheek. It was cold from the tension! The house had long disappeared, yet the signs of the enemy weren't seen!

"Husband? Just kill the filth if he comes!"

"Miss Chloe! We have found Rosa and Plutos from that Bitch Marcia's party!"

"Is this the reason you didn't want to kill him all this time?"

She was one of the adventurers from the Aria Kingdom. This kingdom and their adventurer guild have been suspicious all this time, their names shrouded in various evil rumors that were mostly surrounded around the newbies.

Their goal was to weaken other kingdoms and adventurers by killing the future seeds whose chances of soaring to the highest floors were high.

So the adventurers usually never called themselves 'Adventurers from X Guild', but just adventurers of a certain party. The ones at the top had their favorites, but it will take a while for the husband to meet them.

As of now, Kyoya knew a little about the Aria Kingdom and that they have been recruiting and marking the useful newbies with some special techniques.

It was as if they were aiming to create that special banner 'Adventurers from Aria Guild' or something similar to this!

Regardless of that, Aria Kingdom's Adventurer Guild has been doing some nasty things on a larger scale. They were the first ones to begin this, but who knows if the other kingdoms and their influential people don't possess the same or similar plans in their mind?

It began with the Nine Kingdoms that had been victorious in the past. Things were bound to change at some point, as nothing lasts forever when people continue to pursue strength and greatness.

"W-why am I bait?"

It wasn't the answer he was looking for.

He was one of the direct adventurers affiliated deeply with Aria Kingdom's Adventurer Guild. Since his mission was on this low floor, it meant that his strength was not that influential, though.

Still, the adventurer on the mission to get rid of Kyoya was facing a woman whose influence reached the roots of the aforementioned adventurer guild.

Miss Chloe was a powerful adventurer, but her family's influence comes from operating this very guild. She was one of the descendants that couldn't be called granddaughter, though.

This just shows the roots that have been dominating this world pillar even before the changes happened!

"We are strong enough to stomp freely on the 20th floor. Why would we even use one of the precious resources to trap weaker adventurer? You three will be enough."

"Miss… But weren't those meant to trap Rosa and Plutos?"

"Ah… You can add two more people to your bait plan."

The adventurer felt like shedding some tears. His face sunk with sadness, then he lowered his head to wait for the next orders. Some time passed, yet Miss Chloe just enjoyed the nap on the tree's branch.

She had been enjoying this mission outside her kingdom and family's eyes because no one was bugging her here. Her voice was the strongest, and no one dared to refuse her. Furthermore, Kyoya had been the man she also took a liking to.

He was enjoying rest time in his house most of the time as well!

He was probably training or preparing for another adventure, but this rest was already lasting some time, so Miss Chloe could only develop favorable feelings toward him. Though in the beginning, she felt worried as he would leave his house to do something from time to time.

It was the quest from the Sixth Death God, but Miss Chloe couldn't really tell it.

Nonetheless, she had her free time and could recollect her thoughts after all her ancestors' nagging and other direct descendants.

That was the reason why Kyoya hadn't been disturbed all this time!
