Chapter 167: A husband wants to hone his abilities!

Kyoya's body was only twenty years old. He himself was more than two hundred thanks to the time spent within the death god's castle, though. There was no way for this assassin to see through this, but it wasn't like he was wrong too.

There was also no teacher for Kyoya who would teach him about knives and he worked more on his instincts alone. It would be great to have a teacher, but Kyoya was rather in a hurry. He wanted to buy enough items for a fire adventure and prepare sufficiently…

However, the assassin spoke more.

"I want to pass The Assassin Craft to people worthy of it! For now, I have been using one of my precious treasures to scout for potential individuals throughout the nine ascended kingdoms."

"So you want a lot of disciples."

"Just four. You will be the last one if you accept."

"Then, could you exactly tell me what happened and how I got chosen?"

"I have to explain about my precious treasure then. Look at this, young man."

Kyoya was aware that his fighting was far from perfect, so he was willing to ask a few questions regardless of his current situation. He looked at the man's hands that brought up the masterpiece out of the thin air.

The fact that he possessed spatial item made things more believable. There was no way for Kyoya to look at this man the way he kept doing so! He was more careful and ready for any silent attacks!

His one foot went behind and he put a more cautious posture on display.

This made the man smile, then he finally showed off his precious treasure for Kyoya's eyes. It was a masterpiece that unveiled beauty that truly went beyond mortal realms, but hadn't Kyoya seen the goddess already?

He was still impressed, but not so much.

Besides, Kyoya was sealed, so it couldn't impress him!

"It's said that this woman is The Goddess Of Beauty. More precisely, it's one of her bodies."

"One of her bodies?"

"Interested? The rumors say that The Goddess Of Beauty has many bodies and all of these can strike every kind of man's fascinations."

"If there is a goddess of beauty, then there is also god, right? I mean, there should be several…"

"That's one of the mysteries, young man. At least in our world pillar, the rumors about other goddesses of beauty have yet to reach us. The same goes for the god of beauty, but we are too minor to even think about it."

There was nothing Kyoya could say to keep the conversation about the masterpiece ongoing. It also felt like there was more to this masterpiece, but there was no reason for the assassin to tell it.

This left Kyoya perplexed.

His desire to just cure himself was immeasurable, but he also needed to practice his skills. This Assassin Craft felt also alluring and even more after Kyoya got reminded about Akaro's quest.

Every quest was always dangerous as Kyoya aimed for the greatest peak possible. So he will do his utmost best on the quest for his and Xiaoxiao's future! Such a quest will bring many challenges and rivals, so Kyoya felt like just doing some training before it would be the best.

Of course, this thought appeared after the assassin's appearance.

"How long will it take for me to inherit the Assassin Craft?"

"It depends on you and your potential."

"Then, I will do my best to get it."

Kyoya also made sure to ask the assassin about his motives for a second time. This time, he went all out with his divine abilities to see through the assassin's emotions. It was hard, but Kyoya barely could feel anything, so he didn't really believe in his own ability.

For now, the husband could only try his luck.

"I have to come back to this kingdom by the evening."

"Hmm… I can come to pick you up here every day."

"That's fine."

As the assassin agreed, Kyoya asked for a name, but nothing came out from the man's face other than a smile. He also didn't ask Kyoya for the name and so both of them began their adventure. Their stroll through the city didn't grab anyone's attention and soon they reached the main gates.

This was an area where newcomers appeared.

If someone 'teleported' to the Grooma Kingdom, one would find oneself here. Kyoya was the same and he even spotted the familiar guard. He didn't say anything out to him as both of them just talked in the past.

'He surely forgot us already.'

But Kyoya was curious as to why the assassin brought him here.

It was known that the adventurers slept outside, but it was for the poor. Of course, it was also a nice cover for many, but Kyoya felt like this man tried to do something way more reckless.

And as they began going further and further down the road, Kyoya's thoughts got confirmed…

"It's forbidden to explore this special floor… This is an area exclusive to the nobles that formed the Grooma Kingdom… Isn't that right?"

"It is, but doesn't it mean that this area is one of the safest?"

"I wonder how many people have thought like that."

"Oh, I can assure you that there are a few of them. Haha~~"

As the man laughed gleefully, Kyoya's forehead got some lines on it as he was kinda skeptical here. If someone were to come here for a safe place, then it would be only the strongest adventurers from the guild or any noble families that control the floor.

Maybe some enemies from other floors would also visit this land, but if Kyoya could think of that, then the others also could.

There were certainly some guards from the Grooma Kingdom and as the friend of one of their top parties, Kyoya didn't want to get on their bad side. However, the husband was sure that the assassin was using some kind of ability to hide him and himself from the surroundings.

It was because no one truly raised a voice at them from the capital all the way to this unknown area that was currently seeming like a normal forest around the city…

"I use a knife as my main weapon, what about you, young man?"

"I also use a knife."

"Good. Let's spar then."
