[5th Floor!]
[Four years later.]
In a rural village far away from the big cities, a certain family decided to settle. Their family wasn't big, just four of them. They took a small house for a cheap price near the river for themselves.
But there was something mysterious about them as the whole house changed into a wooden house that was a few times wider and bigger than the previous one.
Other than the house, one could also see wet clothes hanging on the wooden house's side, close to the river. There was also the family head not too far away from these.
A man with a neatly trimmed beard wore rough clothes, commonly manufactured in these rural areas. He also wore an old straw hat that hid his black-white hair. A few streaks still escaped a little, though.
Not disturbed by these streaks floating before his eyes, the man kept his faint smile and held his fishing rod tightly.
He didn't seem particularly strong nor muscular, but no one dared to threaten him or ask uncomfortable questions as his red eyes shone with deeper mystery.
It was the husband.
"How do you like fishing?" He asked his son next to him.
A small three years old Kuro turned his red eyes to his father, then returned to his smaller fishing rod, "It's boring." He answered, then his fishing rod trembled. It seemed like a fish finally got baited!
Kyoya exclaimed, "Oh, you are more lucky than me! Go for it, Kuro." He cheered his son and to answer his father's wishes the best, Small Kuro gathered every drop of his strength and pulled the fish with a huge force.
Boom!
A small explosion rang out in the water, then the boy rolled behind on the small grass.
His father caught the flying fish, and passed it to him, "It's yours. Good job."
"Thanks… father… I am not angry anymore… though…" Kuro felt happy with his catch, but he also knew that his father had been bothered by the incident that happened not too long ago.
This incident changed a lot in the Yamitora Family…
"I know, Kuro… But I still feel like we have to see more of the world. But tonight, we will go on the hunt," Kyoya whispered to his son and the boy instantly lit up in excitement! From all the things he had done so far, Kuro found the hunts the most exciting ones!
He then glanced behind his father.
His sister was here.
"Riley… Look, I got a fish! Why don't you try too?" He asked his twin sister who had been sitting curled up, her face hidden in her knees. She had a small plush toy made after her father hidden in between her knees and face.
Her wolf ears didn't react to her brother's words and small tail continued to lay on the grass.
Kyoya then also spoke, "Riley… Don't you like fish too? If you catch one on your own, then it will taste better. Your mom will prepare one for you."
"I hate mom!" Riley shouted. She turned around and exposed her saddened face. She kept biting her lips and looked dejected to the point where her wolf ears fell down a little!
Standing up, the three years old girl pointed her finger at the sun!
But before she could say something, Xaya's voice rang out from the house! "Dinner is ready!" Sounding like the happiest married woman in life, Xaya also felt the same as mother.
Even the small incident that happened not too long ago couldn't change her mood.
"I don't want mom's dinner!" Riley yet again shouted, then skipped on her small legs to the forest.
Kyoya just shook his head, "Kuro… Look after her."
"Okay," His son replied and rushed after his sister. Both of them were fast, but to not lose to her twin, Riley went all out and began to rush on her four.
Both of them ended up running a lot…
In the meantime, Kyoya entered the house and glanced at Xaya whose smile was nothing, but gleeful, "You haven't made the same mistake, have you?"
"I haven't, the husband! This time, I properly explained!" Xaya said, then wrapped her arm around the husband's arm. She led him to the table, then both of them ate dinner while their children ran around the forest…
In a silence, Kyoya remembered about the incident that began this stupid atmosphere…
-
"Father, I want to go to the sun!" Riley said.
"Father, me too!" Kuro added.
It was the beginning of the disaster. Unknowingly to what had been going through the mind of his children, Kyoya bluntly said, "That's impossible." He laughed and raised his eyes up to the sky.
But before he could even explain a little, Riley and Kuro parted their lips and looked at him in a disbelief.
A silence was all they could hear… The two small children couldn't believe their father!
Kyoya's words then reached them, "Sun is out of our reach! It's nature that we shouldn't seek as we are just humans and wolves. We excel in different concepts and should just enjoy its warmth and light, right?"
The father smiled broadly, then glanced below.
His twins were looking at him as if they had spotted a ghost. Their faces were pale, lips spread in disbelief and eyes even seemed lost… and dead!
Kyoya couldn't understand their reaction at all…
Small Riley then uttered, "But father created the sun? No?"
"W-what?" Kyoya stammered as he asked.
His daughter continued, "Mommy said… that the father created our house, bathroom, furniture. Mommy said that it's because of father we can live here, so father must have created everything…"
"..." It was Kyoya's turn to pale. All of them had the same expression now.
Kuro just nodded to his sister's words and kept his eyes on Kyoya. But seeing his father's reaction, he began to understand a few things more than his sister.
Contrary to him, Riley had been believing everything and she was a kinda naive girl.
"No?" She asked, her eyes pleading that her words were right…
But Kyoya couldn't possibly lie nor he had any proper explanation to this reasoning. He just smiled bitterly, then said, "No…"
Hearing his straight-forward answer, Riley sniffed, then burst out crying. She turned around and ran away to the forest, her twin brother immediately following her after.
Both of them were in a shock and utter disbelief, refusing to believe what his father just confirmed.
They were really smart for three years old kids, but there were things they couldn't just understand properly.
And it was Xaya's fault as she kept adding 'the father' to literally everything.
Was it really weird that his kids thought that everything belonged to their father? Kyoya strangely thought that it was not weird at all considering that his wife knew how to contribute him to even the tiniest deeds.
Kyoya knew that they wouldn't run for too long and he still had their locations on minimap, so he turned around and returned to the house…
"Xaya…" The husband's words were laced in threat…
"The husband! Welcome back!" Xaya left the bathroom and looked at the husband with her usual mesmerizing smile.
But the husband's countenance exuded anger and disbelief as well.
"Did something happen, the husband? Ah, filth! There must be filth!" Xaya shouted, thinking that some filth tried to kidnap her lovely children!
"No, there is an idiot wife… And an idiot husband who didn't notice anything." Kyoya blamed himself in half for this incident and decided to speak with his wife properly to broaden the view of the world for their children.
