The aftermath of the collision affected the surroundings.

“Ugh!” Yelena’s body rolled backward to a full circle and intense pain surged from her sprained ankle, causing her to groan through her clenched teeth.

“Wife.”

“Do you have the luxury to be distracted?”  Trezef stuck to Kaywhin without giving him a moment to breathe and swung his claws.

*THUD! THUD!*

With each clash, a continuous boom resonated. The ground vibrated, and shards of rubble fell from the crumbling ceiling. Yelena was pushed to the side, watching her husband and  Trezef’s clash. Soon, a shadow of dark despair clouded her eyes.

‘No.’ Her husband was being pushed back. It was subtle, but with every clash, it seemed like her husband was being pushed back slightly more than his opponent. Her insides chilled as if filled with ice. Her mouth went dry from anxiety, and the nails of her clenched fist dug into her palm, causing slight pain. At that moment, the holy sword called out to Yelena. [Hey, human!] Lost in the battle and unable to respond immediately, Yelena heard the holy sword continue its urgent cry.

[You with the sprained ankle! You who can hear my voice, right?]

‘The Holy Sword?’

[Now you’re pretending to listen. Listen well. While I was fighting, I noticed something. It seems the Demon King has a weakness.]

At the mention of a weakness, Yelena suddenly snapped back to attention.

‘A weakness?’

[I once cut off one of his wings about a thousand years ago.]

‘And then?’

[It seems the wound from back then hasn’t completely healed. Just a bit, a very slight bit, but the movement of his left-wing seems off.]

Upon hearing this, Yelena’s eyes involuntarily turned towards  Trezef’s wings. Of course, even if she looked, it wasn’t something she could discern.

‘So, should I relay this to my husband now?’

[No need. The Duke must have already realized this much.]

The holy sword and  Trezef’s claws clashed without pause. The voice of the holy sword continued in Elena’s mind.

[A direct assault from the front is meaningless. It’ll only make him aware and cautious about his weakness.]

‘Then? What should we do then?’

[Surprise attack.]

Thud!

Kaywhin, who had blocked  Trezef’s attack, left a deep footprint on the ground as he was pushed back. The words of the holy sword accelerated.

[Attack the upper part of his left wing membrane, without him noticing, just once. Only once. The Duke won’t miss that opening for sure.]

But…’

Although she heard the method, Elena’s feelings of uncertainty remained unchanged. A surprise attack, with what means? Thomas, Colin, and Max had all lost consciousness. The same went for Andydn. Among the others present, they were either injured by the demons, trembling in a corner, or paralyzed by fear.

[Find a way somehow. Can you do it? If you want to defeat that Demon King, this is the only way!]

Yelena gritted her teeth. Easier said than done! But she was the one now who wanted this ‘somehow’ more than anyone else. She had to find a way. Then, a large stone from the ceiling above Yelena’s head suddenly fell.

“…!”

It all happened in the blink of an eye. Kaywhin embraced Yelena to move her out of the way and in the process, his left arm was deeply cut by  Trezef’s nails. “Kaywhin!”

“Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, but you———”

There was no time to finish speaking.  Trezef attacked Kaywhin once again, and the fight continued. However, due to his injured arm, Kaywhin was noticeably being pushed back more than before. Yelena’s complexion turned pale. This was the worst. Of all times, during such a moment. Just when her husband was trying to save her. Self-blame and frustration filled Yelena’s heart, turning it pitch-black. But then, at that moment, Yelena suddenly felt her body becoming lighter. A familiar energy gently enveloped her body. ‘Divine power!’ Her frail body was filled with divine power. It wasn’t a large amount, but it was undoubtedly divine power. ‘How did this happen?’ Now wasn’t the time to investigate the cause. She was surprised, yes, but there was something more urgent at hand. Yelena crawled slowly and cautiously, grabbing the relic in her hand. Then, she took in the sight of  Trezef pressing her husband. Precisely, she focused her gaze on the upper part of his left wing membrane. ‘I can do it.’ Her heart raced, and her palms became sweaty. Yelena repeated to herself. ‘I can do it. It’s possible.’ A short while ago,  Trezef had witnessed Elena’s helplessness firsthand. Having seen her powerlessness, he surely wouldn’t be on guard. So, just this once. Just once! Yelena grabbed the relic, the spear, and managed to partially rise to her feet. “Now!” Seizing the opportunity as she moved out of  Trezef’s line of sight, she infused the spear with divine power and hurled it. The spear flew towards  Trezef at a terrifying speed. However, it narrowly missed its mark by a hair’s breadth. “…!”  Trezef, with astonishing reflexes, deftly evaded the spear, his gaze shifting to fixate on Yelena. His crimson irises emitted a sinister gleam. “So you’re playing tricks. Were you hiding your strength? Let’s see—” And then. The spear, having circled back behind  Trezef, grazed the upper part of his left-wing membrane accurately. His body stiffened momentarily. And true to the words of the holy sword, Kaywhin didn’t miss the opportunity.

SNAP*

The holy sword pierced through  Trezef’s left chest without the slightest error.
