Chapter 23 Liu Yi’s Anger
Seeing that the sky was getting darker and darker, Chen Geng and Ye Yan hurriedly packed up and went down the mountain. On the other side, Brother Scar Liu Yi’s family lived in the corner of the village. He did not live in the same direction as the others, so he parted ways with the rest after they descended the
mountain.
He didn’t know why, but his mood was particularly chaotic today. He kept feeling that something was going to happen.
“Slush, slush!” His feet stepped on the mud, making a disgusting sound, which made Liu Yi, who was already anxious, even more impatient, and he quickened his pace.
Soon, he could already see the lights and would arrive home soon. When he arrived at a place not far from his family’s courtyard, he
panicked the moment he saw the lights. How could his mother, who was usually reluctant to even light an oil lamp, decorate the house so brightly today?
“Let me go!” Suddenly, there was a call from home, followed by a low whimper. Mother! Younger sister! Liu Yi’s heart skipped a beat. He quickened his pace and rushed toward his house.
“Bang!”
As soon as he reached the door, he saw a scene that made his eyes almost pop out of their sockets. His mother, Widow Lin, and his younger sister Lin Qian were surrounded by a group of people in a corner!
“Move!” He shouted. At this moment, Liu Yi was infuriated. He strode forward and pushed the crowd aside. Then, he stood in front of his mother and sister, “What do you mean?”
Liu Yi’s frail figure was out of proportion to his imposing manner. His sharp eyes swept over the few people around, including his grandfather and his two uncles.
Old Liu was unhappy to see his grandson standing up for his mother. He said fiercely, “Get out of the way, Yi. I’m trying to help you. Your mother doesn’t want us to send Xiao Qian to a rich family for work. What’s wrong with that? It’s better to live well and be decent than to suffer in this small place, right?”
Before Liu Yi could refute this, his second uncle also came out to help, “Yi, you have to understand us, this is for your good. We’ve found a good way to earn money. You only need to pay ten taels of silver, and you can make a hundred taels! See? You were the first one we thought of when we got this good deal. Although you can’t take out ten taels, we just happened to see a job recruitment notice. There’s a rich family in town looking for
female workers and don’t you have Xiao Qian around? It’s just right. Isn’t it a good thing?”
“That’s right. Think about it. A hundred taels of silver are enough to last you a lifetime!” His little uncle licked his lips and also launched an attack of persuasion on Liu Yi.
The three of them took turns to persuade Liu Yi, hoping that he would hand over his sister. However, Liu Yi wasn’t a muddleheaded person. Under the cannonballs of the three
elders, he finally understood. They were simply
a bunch of bastards!
“Brother, I don’t want to go…” Just as he was about to lose his temper, Lin Qian’s weak plea
came from behind.
“Girl, shut up!” Old Master Liu rebuked angrily, “What do you know? What’s wrong with going and thus living well there? If you
go, you can even earn some money for your family! What’s not good about that?”
Liu Yi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and
his anger was about to erupt. He patted Lin Qian’s head and stared at the three elders. He opened his mouth and slowly said, “Where is my cousin brother?”
“Your cousin brother? Your cousin isn’t needed
for this matter. As long as you agree, we can
take Xiao Qian to sign the contract, and the deal will be done,” His second uncle said
without a care.
The other party fell into the trap! Liu Yi sneered and continued to ask, “Then where is my cousin sister?”
This time, it was the second uncle’s turn to be stunned. He felt that this nephew of his was setting him up, but he still said, “Your sister is already at the age of marriage. Isn’t it inappropriate to talk about this?”
“Very good!” Liu Yi’s expression froze as he said coldly, “How could you possibly think of my family when there’s anything good?”
He closed his eyes and made up his mind. With
one hand on his waist, he took a deep breath. A will in his body seemed to be constantly smashing against his body. No one noticed that Liu Yi’s body was wrapped in countless gaseous
objects.
“Yi, what do you think? It’s a good idea, isn’t
it… Ah!” His second uncle still wanted to say something, but in the next moment, he saw a fist rapidly expanding in his eyes.
“Bang!”
Along with a muffled sound, Liu Yi’s heavy
punch landed on his face, instantly causing all his teeth to fly out! His second uncle smashed
into the ground, blood flowing out of his mouth and nostrils.
He howled miserably and covered his face as he
struggled to get up. His eyes were fixed on Liu Yi, and his heart was filled with horror. He never thought that his young nephew would be so powerful!
“You little rascal! To think you dared to make a
move? Do you still have any respect for your elders? I’ll teach you a lesson!” Seeing Liu Yi attack, his youngest uncle rolled up his sleeves
and rushed toward Liu Yi without even looking at the eldest uncle’s outcome. “Don’t!” Widow Liu cried out in alarm when
she saw the youngest uncle attack Liu Yi. Her heart was in her mouth.
Liu Yi snorted coldly. He no longer cared about the goddamned manners as he grabbed his uncle’s arm and threw him to the ground as
well. Then, he raised his leg and kicked his little uncle.
“Bang!” A heavy kick landed on the little
uncle’s stomach, causing him to fall to the ground.
A sharp pain came, and the little uncle’s body curled up like a prawn. He held his stomach with both hands and wailed on the ground. He
wanted to get up, but his limbs were soft and he could not exert any strength at all. After he finally got up with great difficulty, he unexpectedly still wouldn’t give up and was determined to hit Liu Yi. He came forward and gave the latter another punch. Liu Yi squinted.
His right hand flashed, and he caught his little uncle’s fist.
Then, he abruptly exerted strength and lifted his little uncle. Following this, he threw his little uncle out with both hands like he was
throwing garbage, who then landed in the
corner.
Boom! The little uncle’s body crashed onto the ground, making a cloud of sand rise. Powerful and unreasonable! This scene was imprinted in Widow Liu’s eyes, causing her to be incomparably shocked.
She had never thought that her son would be
so powerful that he could defeat his two uncles
who had been doing farm work all year round and were physically strong.
She felt more gratified for her son. Her son, who had always been indifferent to her, had stood up today and stood in front of her. Liu Yi’s body was constantly emitting a terrifying aura. His fierce face was completely disproportionate to his body size. He clenched his fists and slowly turned to Old Liu like an
Asura.
At this moment, Old Liu’s mind was completely blank. He didn’t understand how his two sons had fallen in the blink of an eye when they were just trying to negotiate. And the person
who had done all of this was his grandson, Liu
Yi!
“Da, da, da!”
Liu Yi’s footsteps were firm and strong, knocking heavily on everyone’s hearts. Old Liu finally came to his senses. When he saw his
grandson walking toward him fiercely, he panicked.
“Yi, don’t come over! I’m your grandfather!” Old Liu screamed and backed away in fear. His
legs were shaking, “You can’t hit me. That’s disgraceful!” At this time, he didn’t even care about his dignity.
