(One-year time skip - Harry is 10 years old)
During this year I've been trying to train Damon in swordsmanship, but he doesn't seem to have an interest in it. The only other form of combat I know is dueling with magic, but Damon doesn't have magic. Since Damon needs to learn some sort of fighting style, I used the resurrection stone to bring back a dead member of the SAS to train us. The SAS or The Special Air Service is a special forces unit of the British Army. The look on Damon's face when he saw a 'ghost' was going to train us was priceless. When Damon asked me how I got a ghost to train us, I lied explaining that ghosts aren't uncommon, and there were even ghosts at Hogwarts.
I can't have anyone I don't fully trust yet knowing about the stone. That thing is priceless, and I'd rather not have to watch my back more than I already have to. The ghost I summoned didn't want to train us, so I had to throw some orders at him. Our training consisted of a mix of Judo, Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate and a bit of Aikido. Damon took to the training like a fish to water and was far ahead of me after the first day. I would say he's as skilled at hand to hand as I am at swordsmanship. On that subject, my sword training is going smoothly, and I visit Ulkras for spars every now and then.
Another part of our training was how to use guns, and target practice. I had my elves steal two of every gun and some ammo from a British Army base. If Voldemort starts a war with muggles, then we are all screwed. There's more of them than us, and they would destroy us with these weapons. Let's not even get into nukes and other bombs. When I take over, I'm definitely investing funds into research on how to protect my country from nukes.
I've been keeping up with my telekinesis training. I've advanced to the point where I'm not sure how many coins I can control at once, but the weight I can lift is about five tons per coin. My Occlumency is already perfect, so I have no reason to do much to it. Because of my Legilimency training in large crowds, I no longer get headaches when I'm surrounded by a lot of people. My legilimency bubble now stretches thirty feet from my body in all directions. I've also been trying to keep the bubble extended at all times, so I can sense anyone in the area.
Adelle has been growing nicely and has reached an impressive 4 feet long. Since I'm going to Hogwarts soon, I may have to find a way to reduce her size and weight. A giant snake is cool, but when I'm not in a fight she'll just be in the way. Adelle still hasn't awoken her eye powers, but I'm not in a hurry. She, on the other hand, is very annoyed about it and has been sulking every time the subject is brought up.
I've also started the assassin training for my elves. The first part of their training was reading every book I have on poisons. Like I said before assassins aren't meant to get into fights, but kill their targets quickly and efficiently. Poisons will be their number one tool to get the job done. They already have stealth and infiltration down, so I don't have to train them in that. When I thought about it for a bit, I decided to also give them a small dagger. Some targets may check their food or drink for poison, but they would have to sleep sometime. That's when my elves will stab them in their sleep with daggers coated in poison.
Since it's a possibility that someone could use the Revelio charm to remove my elves' invisibility, I had them make their own outfits for assassination missions. They wear all black clothes covering every portion of their body's, and a black face mask that only shows their eyes. It's so funny how they all look like children that dressed up as ninjas for Halloween.
When I thought they were ready, I sent my elf assassins on a mission. The mission was simple, infiltrate a muggle trap house, and kill everyone inside. (A trap house is a place where illegal drugs are sold. In case anyone didn't know) The mission took two minutes, and when they came back I thought they failed or couldn't do it. When they told me that they finished already, I truthfully didn't believe them. It took them apparating me to the house and showing me their handiwork for me to believe them. Because of how fast and efficient they were, I couldn't help but reassure myself that elves are born to be assassins and spies.
My studies have advanced steadily, and I've finally started learning Alchemy and Rituals. Alchemy was confusing and annoying to learn, but once you get passed all that it's truly amazing. The first thing I learned was the law of Equivalent Exchange. Alchemy is a science and as such is subject to certain laws and limitations, all of which fall under the concept of Equivalent Exchange. Rowena would say "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed." Equivalent exchange is separated into two parts:
•The Law of Conservation of Mass - which states that energy and matter can neither be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence. In other words, to create an object weighing one kilogram, at least one kilogram of material is necessary and destroying an object weighing one kilogram would reduce it to a set of parts, the sum of which would weigh one kilogram.
•The Law of Natural Providence - which states that an object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material. In other words, an object or material made mostly of water can only be transmuted into another object with the attributes of water.
The next thing I learned was transmutation, and let me tell you this is where it gets hard. Transmutation is when you manipulate and alter matter using magic. The difference between transmutation and transfiguration is that transmutation is permanent and real. If you make a diamond with transmutation that diamond is real and permanent, but with transfiguration, you're making something else imitate the looks and properties of a diamond for a limited time. There are three sequences to transmutation:
•Deconstruction - Using magic to break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form.
•Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of magic so as to reform the material into a new shape.
In short, understand the thing you want to change, break that thing down, and build it into what you want. Of course, with the law of equivalent exchange in mind. The hardest part of transmutation is comprehension. I had to read so many chemistry books about elements and compounds composed of atoms, molecules, and ions. Let's just say it was hell, but after I memorized it all Alchemy isn't that hard.
While I was learning Alchemy, I was also learning Rituals. The one word I can give to describe rituals is tedious, but once you get passed the tediousness it's very rewarding. The first ritual I was allowed to do was my element ritual. I had to wait for a specific date and time to execute the ritual. Before I could start, I had to brew a potion and get a sacrifice for the big day. When the day of the ritual came, I went to the ritual room in the black manor. A ritual room is just a spacious room with a glass roof, in case you need to see the stars for the ritual.
On the day of the ritual, I had to draw a big array and runes with a mixture of ink and my blood on the floor of the ritual room. Then using transfiguration I made three pillars rise around me from the center of the array. In front of me, I transfigured a small altar for the sacrifice. When the time came, I took out a cage with a stunned Knarl inside. A Knarl is a magical creature that looks like a hedgehog. Taking out the unconscious knarl I put it on the altar and took out a dagger along with the potion I made. I infuse my magic into the dagger and stab the unconscious knarl in the heat killing it instantly.
When the knarl dies, the array lights up in a pale red. While still infusing magic into the dagger, I dip the bloody dagger into the potion. When everything was finished, I drank the potion and immediately the room lit up. Green lightning appeared around me circling my body. Holding my hand out I poke the lightning with my finger. When my finger touched the lightning, it didn't zap me. Instead, it felt right like the lightning belonged to me. The circling lightning shot towards my body infusing itself into me. My mind clouded and I passed out in the middle of the array.
