20 Chapter 20: Goliath

After Weapons Class, Robert didn't bother to talk to the other students again. Maybe in other novels, the protagonist would talk to some characters or try to befriend them more after the previous situation, but unfortunately, Robert isn't really the type to socialize quickly unless he has an urge to do so.

Robert then proceeded to his next class located within a building that looked something like a place where scholars would gather. It was an elegant building built using smooth materials, and the interior included paintings, wooden chairs and tables that had exquisite designs, and even more things that would exude elegance.

Robert started to walk to the room for his next class.

[Hey Hey, what's your next class again?] Megumin chimed in.

'According to my schedule, it should be a class called Mana Enlightenment.' Robert remarked.

[Sounds fancy. Hey, do you think you can get some "enlightenment" for explosion magic?] Megumin asked with an eager tone.

'It's one of the few classes on my schedule that has a somewhat unique name. As for your question, I surely hope not. I'd hate to admit it, but I actually have a bit of an explosion maniac hiding within me.' Robert replied.

[If that's the case, then don't hide it any longer!! Let it out, and be my kindred soul in the ultimate art of explosion magic!!!!] Megumin said with great enthusiasm.

'No' Robert replied.

[But whyyyyyyyyyyy!] Megumin whined.

'I'd rather not risk "blowing" things about of proportion during crucial or even normal situations. Hehehe get it?Blowing cause explosions, and hehe' Robert replied while snickering in his mind about his own joke.

[You suck.] Megumin replied obviously not amused with Robert's so called humour.

'Damn it.' Robert said.

Robert was finally near the room he was supposed to be, but as he opened the door to the room, and entered, he was greeted by a "wall".

"Ack!" Robert sounded out as he smacked his face on that "wall".

"Ah, sorry about that little fellow." The "wall" replied.

Robert looked up to the "wall" only to see that it wasn't a wall, but in fact a student. A big one in fact. The student was very tall. Around 3 meters tall, and had a buff body, but was not overly muscular. He had a face belonging to that of a person in their early twenties. He looked manly with with shoulder length straight black hair styled similar to that present in barbarians or gladiators.

Robert realised that he seemed to have hit the person's legs, but the legs didn't feel like legs, but seemed like they were made of solid iron. Sturdy, and quite an ideal place to temper your face.

The big student squatted down, and held out his hand towards Robert, offering assistance to the poor boy. Robert grabbed that held out his hand, and grabbed the other party's hand.

"Sorry for that, bud. I didn't know you were there." The big student replied.

"It's okay. I'm just wondering why you were blocking the entrance." Robert replied.

"Oh, that was because I was made to stand there by the teacher." The person replied.

"Hm?Why is that? Did something happen?" Robert asked.

" I accidentally broke a chair when I sat down." The student replied.

Robert felt the urge to pinch his eyebrows, but managed to suppress it as it was a bit rude to do so towards a person you just met especially since person looked like someone that could squash him like a bug.

"I see. That is quite..... unfortunate. Anyways, may I ask, what is your name?" Robert asked as he had a feeling that it would be more fun to befriend this guy.

"The name's Goliath." big person replied.

Hearing the name, Robert was stunned. Goliath was a name of a giant in the Bible. Robert couldn't help, but think of how it suits the person in front of him.

"That's a fine name." Robert remarked.

"Thanks lad. What about yours?Hey, you're also quite young aren't ya." Goliath said with a wide smile.

"My name is Robert." Robert replied.

"Robert. Well, Robert do you mind being a buddy of mine? I just transferred here, and I'm looking for friends." Goliath replied.

"Sure, why not?" Robert replied.

"Splendid!" Goliath said as he laughed.

Another voice suddenly rang out.
