"All you do is related to money. What if this tournament was just a game for me? Something that I wanted to try just to see my abilities and feel a little thrill?" Yumi decided to open her mouth and speak with that unfilial father.
She continued, "What if I just wanted to play the game and enjoy the new world? Shouldn't that be a priority for you? No, you immediately associated me with money... For you, I am just one of the money makers."
"If not for your grandpa's inheritance, would you be even here? With your past, you would've been working in one of the harshest jobs or maybe... even in the oldest job." The father emotionlessly replied.
From the side, Sandra found his words disgusting. She couldn't even understand how her father said such words to Yumi.
After all, the oldest job meant one thing!
"The world has changed so much... The oldest job is mostly done through VR anyway..." The father shrugged and no longer dwelled on Venomous' financial situation, "Money is what gives us freedom. It's not the strongest, but those who possess the most wealth can have freedom in both real life and this game. For you, to even think of destroying my guild, how depraved and hopeless you must have been?"
"Didn't I say that I just want to play the game?" Yumi replied emotionlessly.
But her father was her father, "You are lying."
By this time, the stressed waitress came with a cup of coffee that she barely could hold on the plate. She passed it to the man, then escaped as quickly as possible.
WIth something to drink on, the father slowly continued, "I know what has happened in the prison... You were alone, Yumi. Alone against those disgusting women. If there was no deep goal driving you into this game, you would either work and limit your social life as much as possible or you would just live until the end with grandpa's inheritance. The thing is... you don't want to use his money, do you?"
Her father was right.
Yumi bought the necessary stuff to play the game of the highest quality, then rarely spent her money on anything else. Even her food used to be cheap and unhealthy! It all had changed with the monke entering her life.
But her father was right and that was what pained her.
Her heart soon got pricked by a thousand needless as her father hadn't stayed different to those 'women' from the prison, "Most of them ended up getting sold to brothels." It wasn't like Yumi cared about those women.
What hurt her heart was that her father did similar things she had done to Big K. He was much worse as his deeds forced those women to sign contracts with brothels that weren't... gratifying places to work with.
In Big K's case, he was just lowered to minimum wage work. It was harsh work where he had to listen to other people who weren't that good bosses, but they were not as bad as those brothels in the worst countries.
Yumi stared blankly at her father, feeling like punching herself.
He carried on, "Knowing you, you plan to use this money for a greater cause. It's either a donation to the foundation or you would support some poor families who can't rely on anyone, but themselves. But why? It's better to invest money into a proper source like me. What's the use of saving people whose value is unknown?"
"I don't care about your guild nor you. Leave me alone," Yumi couldn't handle this much heartlessness and callousness.
She thought she was worse, but this man topped everything.
He wasn't just worse to others, but he was worse to everyone including his own family. If someone turned to be useless and their value fell below his bottom line, this father would wantonly erase the flaw in his High Heaven Guild and company!
"Everything I did turned out to be nothing, but a little wasted time and money... Still, I got useful connections," Those connections weren't anything good, so Yumi closed her eyes and waited for this man to leave.
He stood up and left with the last words ringing in her mind, "I can imagine how hard it is to find allies, especially if you are alone without proper support. One lucky chance can happen, which I can understand, but it won't happen twice... And you won't be able to play around in the same way, Yumi."
It was a clear threat.

"Venomous..." Sandra reached out for Yumi whose whole body silently mingled with the empty restaurant.
No clients entered the restaurant yet, so it was just two of them.
Sandra had a lot to ask for, but she knew that the father was one of the disgusting people in the world.
Her feelings toward Venomous greatly changed after listening to their talk, but there was something much more serious to worry about.
Sandra didn't coat her words, "This man threatened you... But will it be just in-game only? Your relationship with Michu is not known as both of you were in different survival games. Your time outside can be also covered by some nonsense such as 'meeting of black horses', but what about real life?"
Her point was simple.
This father could threaten Michu's family in real life!
"Nana still has a lot of time in her school... She is smart but has no one to rely on because of their poor family situation... Her whole class doesn't like her and treats her as an outsider... What if they all begin to whisper some bad words and rumors about her? It can leave a big stamp on her..." Both Nana and Sandra were close, so the witch was overly worried.
If something happened, she might just book a ticket for the train and arrive in their city to support the family!
"Michu also just struck the golden chance... He helped his family, but if this man has so many connections, won't he turn Michu's sudden rise of income into something suspicious? What about his mom? I don't want... to jinx it all... But..." Sandra stated the feasible future.
And from Venomous' tears, Sandra knew that the snake had been also worrying about it after her father left the restaurant.
-
[Two hours after the snake and the father met.]
In a big office that was ten times the size of Michu's main room, the man of greatest virtue and big heart found himself in a mountain of papers. He had a phone between his ear and shoulder, listening to the call while his fingers tapped the keyboard nonstop.
His eyes rested on the monitor!
"Yes, I have already dealt with that... Good... See you soon..." He was exhausted, but his work was just about to end!
However, his phone rang out again and a grimace crept onto his face.
Nonetheless, it was still within a time he could afford for the business.
"Reiji?" It was a close friend that Yumikazu Kyotaro could talk casually with.
Reiji was the man who had his own public power company.
And Yumikazu Kyotaro was the man who had turned Michu's life around. Were it not for him, Michu wouldn't even touch VR Game during his school!
At most, the monke would've started this game after saving a lot of money which would be probably in the mid-twenties!
But Kyotaro was Michu's luck!
"Someone tried to bribe you?" Kyotaro rolled his eyes, "I guess it has something to do with me?"
"Yeah, that man wanted us to sometimes cut the power supply to the house that you have paid bills for. It's nothing big, but if someone did it to me while in a VR Game, then I would've snapped."
"Well, your anger knows no bounds! Haha! But the house that I paid bills for... Wait for a second... That funny guy?" Kyotaro massaged his temple as he remembered about Michu and his funny and wide smile!
At the same time, the sound of loud heels rang out! This fast rhythm forced Kyotaro to hide behind the mountain of papers he had on his desk.
The doors abruptly opened and the woman entered the office, "Brother! Turn on the TV! Right now!" It was his sister who had seen Michu once too!
She slapped a mountain of papers away and took the seat on the desk, her legs swaying excitingly.
Kyotaro grasped his hair in dismay, but his sister said, "You have those in the cloud anyway."
"I can't sign them digitally! Ah, damn it..." Big brother shook his head and ignored the strewn papers on the ground. He turned the TV on the channel his sister wanted.
"Regional Tournament?" He asked, then the monke's appearance unfolded before his eyes!
"It's Lil Monke," His sister chuckled and swayed her whole body on the desk! She was amused by the monke and his battles in the Regional Tournament, "It's the final survival game. They are all scattered around, so the best has yet to happen! We support Lil Monke."
"What did he do for you to support him so much? Was his battle exciting?" Kyotaro laughed and curiously listened to the commentators who were singing praises about Lil Monke's courage.
"He's a breath of fresh air, remember?" The sister replied, "And people change in this game, especially those who stumbled upon something great such as a unique class... But his smile stays the same and I like it."
"Then you should hear about it," Kyotaro passed a phone that still had a call on to his sister. His friend's voice flowed into her ear and her eyebrows creased.
"Accept that bribe," The sister said.
"Alright," Reiji replied.
"We will sniff out that bastard."
It didn't look like the monke could've offended someone high. And even if he did, plotting so much outside the game was just too absurd and disgusting. Thus, Kyotaro's sister took matters into her own hands!
She also refused to believe that Lil Monke did something bad in real life. How could he meet those wealthy people and offend them anyway?
Therefore, the game must be the reason! And his sudden increase in popularity matched the timing of this bribe!
"Should we visit Lil Monke in real life?" Kyotaro suggested.
"After this Regional Tournament."
